< Isaiah 4 >
1 Tekah khohnin ah tah huta parhih loh tongpa pakhat te a mawt uh vetih, “Kaimih kah buh he ca uh sih lamtah ka himbai he bai uh sih. Kaimih ham nang ming te khue saeh lamtah kaimih kokhahnah khum puei mai,” a ti uh ni.
And seven women shall take hold of one man on that day, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, take but away our reproach.
2 Tekah khohnin ah BOEIPA kah a dawn te kirhang la, thangpomnah la, khohmuen kah a thaih te mingthennah la, Israel kah rhalyong te boeimang la poeh ni.
On that day shall the sprout of the Lord be for ornament and for honor, and the fruit of the land for excellence and for glory for the escaped of Israel.
3 Zion kah aka sueng, Jerusalem ah aka sueng, Jerusalem kah hingnah dongah la a daek boeih te hlangcim la a khue ni.
And it shall come to pass, that whoever is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, every one that is written down unto life in Jerusalem:
4 Zion nu kah a khawt neh Jerusalem kah a thii te Boeipa loh a silh pah ni. A kotak lamkah tiktamnah mueihla neh a hoek vetih mueihla neh a hlup ni.
When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have scoured away the blood-guiltiness of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of destruction.
5 Te vaengah Zion tlang kah a hmuen takuem neh, a tingtunnah ah, khothaih ah hmaikhu neh cingmai, khoyin ah hmaisai neh hmai aa te imkhui kah thangpomnah boeih soah BOEIPA loh a suen pah ni.
And then will the Lord create upon every dwelling of mount Zion, and upon her places of assembly, a cloud and smoke by day, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a covering.
6 Khothaih kholing vaengah poca hlipkhup la, khotlan tuihli lamloh hlipyingnah neh kuepkolnah la om ni.
And a tabernacle shall it be for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge, and for a covert from tempest and from rain.
