< Isaiah 33 >
1 Anunae aka rhoelrhak khaw na rhoelrhak yoe mahpawh, hnukpoh khaw a taengah hnukpoh yoe mahpawh.
Woe to thee who destroys, and thou were not destroyed, and deal treacherously, and they did not deal treacherously with thee! When thou have ceased to destroy, thou shall be destroyed, and when thou have made an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
2 BOEIPA kaimih he n'rhen lah, namah ni kan lamtawn uh.
O Jehovah, be gracious to us, we have waited for thee. Be thou our arm every morning, also our salvation in the time of trouble.
3 Hlangping ol ah pilnam rhoek loh yong uh tih, na thoh vaengah namtom khaw haeh uh.
At the noise of the tumult the peoples have fled. At the lifting up of thyself the nations are scattered.
And your spoil shall be gathered as the caterpillar gathers. As locusts leap, men shall leap upon it.
5 BOEIPA tah hmuensang la kho a sak dongah pomdoep rhoe pai saeh. Zion tah tiktamnah, duengnah neh a baetawt sak.
Jehovah is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 Namah tue vaengkah khangnah khohrhang, cueihnah he uepomnah la om vetih BOEIPA hinyahnah neh mingnah te a thakvoh la om ni.
And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.
7 Thinom te kawtpoeng ah a doek uh tih rhoepnah puencawn rhoek khaw bungbung rhap uh coeng ke.
Behold, their valiant ones cry outside. The ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 Longpuei rhoek khaw pong uh tih caehlong kah aka pongpa khaw kangkuen. Paipi te a phae tih khopuei rhoek te a sawtsit tih hlanghing la toeksap pawh.
The highways lie waste. The wayfaring man ceases. The enemy has broken the covenant. He has despised the cities. He does not regard man.
9 Khohmuen a tahah te a nguekcoi thil. Lebanon khaw tal tih tloih coeng. Sharon te a kolken bangla om coeng tih Bashan neh Karmel khaw congpet coeng.
The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves.
Now I will arise, says Jehovah. Now I will lift up myself. Now I will be exalted.
Ye shall conceive chaff. Ye shall bring forth stubble. Your breath is a fire that shall devour you.
12 Pilnam te tihkoi lungbok bangla om uh vetih, hling a vung bangla hmai neh a hlup uh ni.
And the peoples shall be as the burnings of lime, as thorns cut down that are burned in the fire.
13 Ka saii te khohla loh ya pai lamtah ka thayung thamal he a yoei loh ming uh pai.
Hear, ye who are far off, what I have done, and ye who are near, acknowledge my might.
14 Hlangtholh rhoek tah Zion ah rhi uh tih lailak rhoek loh thuennah a buem uh. Mamih khuiah hmai kah a hlawp la aka bakuep te unim? Kumhal hmaingen la mamih khuiah aka bakuep te unim?
The sinners in Zion are afraid. Trembling has seized the profane. Who among us can dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 Duengnah dongah aka pongpa tih vanat la aka thui, tlungalnah te mueluemnah ham aka tuei, kapbaih aka duen taeng lamloh a kut aka khong, thii long aka yaak ngaih taeng lamloh a hna aka buem, boethae aka hmu lamkah a mik aka him,
He who walks righteously, and speaks uprightly. He who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes away his hands from taking a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil.
16 anih tah hmuensang ah kho a sak vetih, rhalmahim thaelpang a imsang la om ni. A buh loh a khut vetih a tui loh a tangnah ni.
He shall dwell on high. His place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks. His bread shall be given. His waters shall be sure.
17 Manghai kah a sakthen te na mik loh a hmuh khohla bangsang kho te khaw a hmuh ni.
Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty. They shall behold a land that reaches afar.
Thy heart shall muse on the terror. Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed the tribute? Where is he who counted the towers?
Thou shall not see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that thou cannot comprehend, of a strange tongue that thou cannot understand.
20 Mamih kah tingtunnah khorha Zion ke so lah. Na mik loh mongkawt tolkhoeng Jerusalem te a hmuh bitni. Dap te puen pawt vetih a hlingcong khaw a yoeyah la phong mahpawh. A rhuihet te pakhat pataeng pat mahpawh.
Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities. Thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed. The stakes of which shall never be plucked up, nor shall any of the cords of it be broken.
21 Aka khuet BOEIPA tah mamih ham a kut aka dangka sak sokko tuiva hmuen la om pahoi coeng. A soah lawngkaih kah sangpho khaw cet pawt vetih timbaw aka khuet khaw kat mahpawh.
But Jehovah will be with us there in majesty. A place of broad rivers and streams, in which shall go no galley with oars, nor shall a gallant ship pass thereby.
22 BOEIPA loh mamih kah lai aka tloek tih, BOEIPA tah mamih aka taem la om. Mamih kah manghai BOEIPA, amah long ni mamih n'khang eh.
For Jehovah is our judge. Jehovah is our lawgiver. Jehovah is our king, he will save us.
23 Na rhuihet te hlong tih a cungkui yung khaw a kueng voel pawt dongah a rholik khaw a ku uh moenih. Te dongah kutbuem maeh te a tael ni. Khokhaem rhoek khaw puh vetih maeh te a poelyoe uh ni.
Thy tacklings are loosed. They could not strengthen the foot of their mast. They could not spread the sail. Then the prey of a great spoil was divided. The lame took the prey.
24 Imben loh, “Ka tlo,” ti mahpawh. A khuikah pilnam khosa khaw thaesainah a phueih pah coeng.
And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick. The people who dwell in it shall be forgiven their iniquity.
