< Isaiah 32 >

1 Manghai tah duengnah neh manghai vetih mangpa rhoek loh a tiktam la boei uh ni.
Lo, for righteousness doth a king reign, As to princes, for judgment they rule.
2 Te vaengah tah khohli vaengkah congket conglong neh hlipuei vaengkah a huephael bangla, rhamrhae kah sokca tui bangla, buhmueh rhathih khohmuen kah thaelpang puei kah hlipkhup bangla boeih om ni.
And each hath been as a hiding-place [from] wind, And as a secret hiding-place [from] inundation, As rivulets of waters in a dry place, As a shadow of a heavy rock in a weary land.
3 Aka hmu rhoek loh a mik buem uh voel pawt vetih aka ya kah a hna long khaw hnatung uh pawn ni.
And not dazzled are the eyes of beholders, And the ears of hearers do attend.
4 Thinko aka loe long khaw ming hamla a yakming ni. Ol khol khaw a loe la puk cal ni.
And the heart of those hastened Understandeth to know, And the tongue of stammerers hasteth to speak clearly.
5 Hlang ang te hlangcong la khue voel pawt vetih ngukngak te hlang rhoeikhang ti nah mahpawh.
A fool is no more called 'noble,' And to a miser it is not said, 'rich;'
6 Lailak la saii ham neh BOEIPA te rholrhaknah thui ham, akaang loh boethaehalang a thui tih a lungbuei kah boethae a saii. Hlang kah hinglu te bungpong la a kaeng tih tuihalh khaw tui-ok loh a vaitah sak.
For a fool speaketh folly, And his heart doth iniquity, to do profanity, And to speak concerning Jehovah error, To empty the soul of the hungry, Yea, drink of the thirsty he causeth to lack.
7 Ngukngak loh a boethae hnopai te khonuen rhamtat la a khueh tih, khodaeng loh tiktam a thui vaengah pataeng kodo mangdaeng te a honghi ol neh vueinan hamla caai.
And the miser — his instruments [are] evil, He hath counselled wicked devices, To corrupt the poor with lying sayings, Even when the needy speaketh justly.
8 Tedae hlangcong long tah moeihoeihnah neh a uen tih moeihoeihnah neh pai van.
And the noble counselled noble things, And he for noble things riseth up.
9 Mongkawt nu rhoek thoo uh lamtah ka ol hnatun uh. Palyal tanu rhoek ka olthui he hnakaeng uh lah.
Women, easy ones, rise, hear my voice, Daughters, confident ones, give ear [to] my saying,
10 Palyal rhoek te kum at hnin at ah na tlai uh bitni. Misurbit loh n'khah vetih cangah khaw pha mahpawh.
Days and a year ye are troubled, O confident ones, For consumed hath been harvest, The gathering cometh not.
11 Mongkawt nu te lakueng saeh, palyal nu rhoek khaw tlai uh saeh. Hni te pit saeh lamtah a yal la a pumpu te vah saeh.
Tremble ye women, ye easy ones, Be troubled, ye confident ones, Strip and make bare, with a girdle on the loins,
12 Naidoeh lohma ham neh misur thaihsu ham te rhangsuk mah rhaengsae laeh.
For breasts they are lamenting, For fields of desire, for the fruitful vine.
13 Hling neh lota he ka pilnam kah hmuenlung ham a yam pah coeng tih, khorha kah omthennah dongah aka yalpo imkhui boeih ham pai ni.
Over the ground of my people thorn — brier goeth up, Surely over all houses of joy of the exulting city,
14 Impuei te a phap vetih khopuei a lilup khaw a hnoo ni. Molpuei neh rhaltawt imsang te kohong marhang kah a omthennah neh tuping uemnah la poeh vetih kumhal due lungtokhui la om ni.
Surely the palace hath been left, The multitude of the city forsaken, Fort and watch-tower hath been for dens unto the age, A joy of wild asses — a pasture of herds;
15 Hmuensang lamkah Mueihla te mamih soah han kingling vaengah tah khosoek khaw cangphil cangngol la poeh tih khoham cangphil cangngol bangla a poek.
Till emptied out on us is the Spirit from on high, And a wilderness hath become a fruitful field, And the fruitful field for a forest is reckoned.
16 Te vaengah tah khosoek ah tiktamnah loh kho a sak vetih, duengnah loh cangphil cangngol te a om thil ni.
And dwelt in the wilderness hath judgment, And righteousness in the fruitful field remaineth.
17 Duengnah kah a khoboe tah rhoepnah la, duengnah kah thohtatnah tah kumhal due mong vetih ngaikhuek la om ni.
And a work of the righteousness hath been peace, And a service of the righteousness — Keeping quiet and confidence unto the age.
18 Ka pilnam long tah rhoepnah tolkhoeng neh pangtungnah tolhmuen ah duemnah neh a mongkawt la kho a sak ni.
And dwelt hath My people in a peaceful habitation, And in stedfast tabernacles, And in quiet resting-places.
19 Te dongah duup khaw rhael aka bo loh a hnaa vetih khopuei khaw tlarhoelnah la kunyun ni.
And it hath hailed in the going down of the forest, And in the valley is the city low.
20 Te dae tui kaeng te boeih aka tawn tih vaito neh laak kho neh aka tluek rhoek tah na yoethen uh.
Happy [are] ye sowing by all waters, Sending forth the foot of the ox and the ass!
