< Isaiah 13 >
1 Amoz capa Isaiah loh Babylon kah olrhuh te a hmuh coeng.
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
2 Tlang aka tlaai soah rholik thoh uh lah. Amih te ol huel thil uh lamtah kut hlaek pauh. Te daengah ni hlangcong thohka la a pawk uh eh.
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
3 Kamah kah ka ciim rhoek te kamah loh ka uen coeng. Ka hoemnah dongah aka yalpo ka hlangrhalh rhoek te ka thintoek ham rhung la ka khue bal.
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
4 Tlang sokah hlangping ol tah pilnam mueiloh, namtom ram kah longlonah ol khaw bahoeng tingtun uh coeng. Caempuei BOEIPA loh caemtloek caempuei te a hip coeng.
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
5 BOEIPA tah diklai pum he laikoi hamla khohla bangsang kho lamkah neh vaan khobawt lamloh amah kah kosi tubael neh ha pawk uh coeng.
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
6 BOEIPA kah khohnin loh yoei coeng tih rhung uh laeh. Tlungthang taeng lamkah rhoelrhanah la ha pawk ni.
Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
7 Te dongah kut aka om khaw boeih kha vetih hlanghing kah thinko khaw boeih paci ni.
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
8 Thohrhui khaw let vetih rhuihet aka tu ca-om bangla khaem uh ni. Amih maelhmai te hmaihluei la om vetih hlang loh amah hui te khaw maelhmai a hmaang ni.
And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
9 BOEIPA kah khohnin tah a thinpom neh muenying muenyang la ha pawk coeng ke. Khohmuen te imsuep la khueh ham thintoek thinsa neh ha pawk tih a khuikah hlangtholh rhoek te a mitmoeng sak pawn ni.
Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
10 Vaan kah aisi neh amih kah buhol long khaw a aa thangthen mahpawh. Khomik khaw a thoeng vaengah hmuep vetih hla long khaw a vangnah neh tue voel mahpawh.
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
11 Lunglai dongkah boethae neh halang rhoek kathaesainah te khaw ka cawh ni. Thinlen kah hoemdamnah te ka paa sak vetih, hlanghaeng hoemnah khaw ka kunyun ni.
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
12 Hlanghing he suicilh lakah, tongpa he Ophir sui lakah ka kha sak.
I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
13 Te dongah vaan te ka tlai sak vetih caempuei BOEIPA kah a thinpom neh amah kah thintoek thinsa khohnin ah tah diklai te a hmuen lamloh hinghuen ni.
For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
14 Te vaengah a heh uh kirhang neh boiva bangla om ni. Hlang loh a pilnam te a coi uh kolla mael uh vetih amah kho la rhip rhaelrham uh ni.
And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
15 A hmuh carhui a thun vetih a khoengvoep nah la cunghang neh boeih a cungku sak ni.
Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
16 Amih kah a ca rhoek te a mikhmuh ah a til pah ni. A im te a reth pa uh vetih a yuu rhoek taengah a yalh rhoe a yalh pa uh ni.
And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
17 Amih taengah kamah loh tangka aka moeh pawt tih sui aka ngaih pawh Madai te ka haeng pah coeng he.
Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
18 Camoe rhoek te liva neh a taam uh vetih bungko thaihtae te khaw haidam uh mahpawh. A ca rhoek te amih kah mik loh rhen uh mahpawh.
And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
19 Ram tom kah kirhang neh Khalden kah hoemdamnah a boei a mang, Babylon tah Pathen kah imrhong- Sodom neh Gomorrah bangla om ni.
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Babylon te a yoeyah la om pawt vetih thawnpuei phoeikah cadilcahma duela om mahpawh. Te vaengah Arab khaw puen uh pawt vetih boiva aka dawn khaw te ah te kol uh mahpawh.
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
21 Te vaengah kohong loh pahoi a kol thil vetih a im ah huiha loh bae ni. Tuirhuk vanu loh hnap a rhaeh thil vetih sathai loh a cungpet thil ni.
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
22 A lohnong ah sa-ui kuk vetih a bawkim ah pongui loh pangdoknah a khueh ni. A tue ha pawk ham yoei coeng tih a khohnin tah koe voel mahpawh.
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
