< Hebru 5 >
1 Hlang lamkah a tuek khosoihham boeih tah Pathen taengah hlang yuengla a tuek. Te daengah ni nawnnah neh tholh yuengla hmueih khaw a hlut.
For every high priest who is from among men, on the behalf of men, standeth over those things which are of Aloha, to offer oblation and sacrifices for sins:
2 Mangvawt rhoek neh taengphael rhoek te a rhen thai dongah amah khaw vawtthoeknah neh vueinan uh.
and (is one) who can humble himself, and suffer with those who know not and err, since he also himself with infirmity is clothed.
3 Te dongah tholh kongah nawn ham te pilnam ham neh amah ham khaw a kuek.
And on this account he is obligated as on the behalf of the people, so (also) for himself, to offer up for his sins.
4 Te phoeiah khat khat loh a thangpomnah te a loh moenih. Tedae Aaron bangla Pathen long ni a khue van.
Yet no man to himself taketh the honour, but he who is called by Aloha, as of Aharun.
5 Khrih khaw khosoihham la om ham amah neh amah a thangpom tangloeng moenih. Tedae anih te, “Nang tah ka ca la na om tih tihnin ah kai loh nang kan sak coeng,” aka ti long ni a thangpom.
Thus also the Meshiha glorified not himself to be a High Priest; but He who said to him, Thou art my Son, I to-day have begotten thee.
6 Te vanbangla a tloe ah khaw, “Nang tah Melkhizedek kah aitlaeng bangla kumhal due na khosoih coeng,” a ti. (aiōn )
So, too, in another place he saith, Thou art the Priest for ever, after the likeness of Malki-Zedek. (aiōn )
7 Amah loh a pumsa la a om tue vaengah, rhenbihnah neh bihnah khaw, duek lamkah anih aka khang thai taengah, mikphi neh rhungrhahnah neh a tloh la a nawn daengah ni hinyahnah neh a hnatun pah.
When also with flesh he had been clothed, prayer and supplication, with a powerful cry, and with tears, he offered up unto Him who was able from death to revive him, and was heard.
8 A capa la om dae a patang neh olngainah te a cang.
And though he was the Son, yet from the fear and the sufferings which he sustained he learned obedience.
9 Te dongah dungyan khangnah a hnun la a ol aka ngai rhoek boeih taengah rhuemtuet la a om pah. (aiōnios )
And so was he perfected, and became unto all them who obey him the Cause of eternal salvation; (aiōnios )
10 Melkhizedek kah aitlaeng bangla Pathen loh khosoihham la a khue coeng.
and was named by God, The High Priest after the likeness of Malki-Zedek.
11 Anih kah olka tah mamih taengah cung coeng dae hnavue te kolhnaw la a om dongah ka thuicaih tloel.
But concerning this Malki-Zedek himself, we have much discourse to utter, and hard to explain, because ye are infirm in your hearing.
12 A tue loh saya la om ham a kuek coeng dae Pathen kah olrhuh a tongnah kah a niing te pakhat loh nangmih koep n'thuituen na ngoe uh. Te dongah buh hap mueh la suktui aka ngoe la na om uh.
For ye ought to be teachers, on account of the time by you in learning; but now ye have need again to be taught those which are the first scriptures of the beginningwords of Aloha; and need have ye for milk, and not for solid food.
13 Suktui aka cabol boeih tah cahmang la om tih, duengnah olka dongah cakongcahai la om.
But every one whose food is milk is not versed in the doctrine of righteousness, because he is a babe.
14 Tedae lungcuei tah buh hap a om pah coeng. Te rhoek kah hmuhtoeihnah rhangneh yaknganah te a hlinsai uh dongah a thae neh a then khaw boelhkhoehnah khueh uh.
But for the perfect is solid food; those, (namely, ) who, because exercised, have trained their senses to distinguish the good and the evil.
