< Hebru 4 >

1 Te dongah amah kah duemnah khuiah kun ham olkhueh a paih te nangmih khuiah khat khat loh a hlavawt la a poek khaming tila birhih uh sih.
Let us be afraid therefore, lest, a promise being left behind to enter into his rest, any of you should seem to have come short.
2 Amih bangla olthangthen aka phong lam ni n'om uh ngawn. Tedae a yaak rhoek te tangnah neh a rhoih uh pawt dongah a hnavue kah olka tah phu voel pawh.
For we also are having good news preached, just as also those men, but the word of hearing did not benefit those men, not having been mixed together with faith in those who heard.
3 A ti bangla aka tangnah rhoek tah duemnah khuila n'kun uh. Ka kosi neh ka toemngam vanbangla kai duemnah khuiah kun venim. Te cakhaw Diklai a tongnah lamloh a bibi te ana om coeng.
For those who believe enter into that rest, just as he said, So I swore in my wrath, They will not enter into my rest, although the works occurred from the foundation of the world.
4 Te dongah pakhat ah hninrhih ham a thui tangloeng. Te vaengah Pathen tah a bibi boeih lamkah hnin rhih vaengah duem.
For he spoke somewhere about the seventh this way, And God rested during the seventh day from all his works,
5 Te phoeiah amah hmuen la, “Ka duemnah khuiah kun uh mahpawh,” koep a ti.
and in this again, They will not enter into my rest.
6 Te dongah a khuila kun ham hlangvang a khueh tangloeng pueng. Tedae hnukbuet kah aka phong rhoek tah althanah dongah kun uh pawh.
Since therefore it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly had good news did not enter because of disobedience,
7 Te phoeiah khohnin pakhat te “Tihnin “la a hoep tih kum heyet phoeiah ni David loh a thui. A thui bangla tihnin ah a ol te na yaak uh atah nangmih kah thinko te ning sak uh boeh.
again he appoints a certain day, Today, saying in David after so long a time (as it is said), Today if ye will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.
8 Joshua loh amih te a duem sak atah hekah khohnin phoeiah a tloe ham tah thui mahpawh.
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken about another day after these things.
9 Te dongah duemhnin tah Pathen kah pilnam ham ni a om.
There remains therefore a sabbath for the people of God.
10 Te dongah amah kah duemnah khuiah aka kun tah Pathen loh amah bibi lamkah a duem vanbangla anih khaw amah bibi lamkah duem.
For a man who has entered into his rest, he has also rested from his works, as God did from his own.
11 Te dongah tekah duemnah khuiah kun hamla haam uh sih. Te daengah ni althanah moeiboe dongah pakhat khaw amah la a bung pawt eh.
Let us therefore be diligent to enter into that rest, so that not any man may fall by the same example of disobedience.
12 Te dongah Pathen kah olka tah hing tih khuekcet. cunghang boeih lakah voeivang la haat tih hinglu neh mueihla, rhuhcong neh hliing, duela a thun tih a sah. Thinko poeknah neh hmuhnah khaw khocueh rhamvueh la a khueh.
For the word of God is living, and potent, and sharper, above every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division both of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and discernible of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Amah hmaikah a thuhphah suentae a om moenih. Tedae a cungkuem he a tlingyal neh a mikhmuh ah rha uh coeng. Anih taengah mamih ol te a paek.
And there is no creature concealed from his presence, but all things are naked and vulnerable to his eyes, before whom is the word to us.
14 Khosoihham koek, vaan aka hil la Pathen Capa Jesuh n'khueh uh te olphoei la pom uh sih.
Having therefore a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us take hold of the affirmation.
15 Mamih kah vawtthoeknah aka rhen thai mueh khosoihham n'khueh uh moenih. A cungkuem dongah mamih mueiloh la a noemcai coeng dae tholhnah a khueh moenih.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but who was tempted in all things in the same way, without sin.
16 Te dongah lungvatnah ngolkhoel taengah sayalh la paan uh sih. Te daengah ni rhennah n'dang vetih bomnah he tapkhoeh la lungvatnah neh m'hmuh eh.
Let us therefore come near with boldness to the throne of grace, so that we may take mercy, and may find grace for timely help.
