< Hebru 10 >
1 Olkhueng tah aka lo ham hno then kah mueihlip la om tih anih te hno taktak kah muei moenih. Kum takuem ah hmueih te amah la a nawn uh dae a soep la phat paan sak thai pawh.
For there was in the law the shadow of good things to come, not the subsistence of the very things, therefore (though) every year the same sacrifices were offered they could never perfect those who offered them.
2 Te koinih hmueih a nawn te bawt tlaih mahpawh. Te dongah vaikhat thothueng neh a cim sak te tholhnah dongah mingcimnah khueh voel mahpawh.
For if they had perfected, they would have ceased afterward from the presentation of them; because the conscience of those who had been once purified by them would not henceforth have been troubled by (such) sins.
But in those sacrifices their sins are brought to remembrance every year.
4 vaito neh maae thii loh tholh a khoe tloel dongah ni.
For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and of goats to purify (from) sins.
Wherefore when he cometh into the world he saith, Sacrifices and oblations thou hast not willed, but with a body hast thou clothed me:
6 Tholh dongah hmaihlutnah khaw na lungtlun uh pawh.
and entire burnt-offerings for sins thou hast not required.
Then said I, Behold, I come; in the sum of the books it is written concerning me, that I shall do thy will, Aloha.
Te te olkhueng bangla a nawn rhoek ni,” a ti.
Above he said, Victims, and oblations, and entire burnt-offerings for sin thou hast not willed; those which are offered in the law.
9 Te phoeiah, “Namah kongaih saii ham ka pawk coeng he,” a ti. Lamhma te a thup daengah ni a pabae te a thoh pai eh.
And afterwards he said, Behold, I come, that I may do thy will, Aloha. In this he hath done away with the first, that he may establish the second.
10 A kongaih loh Jesuh Khrih kah pum te a nawn bangtlang dongah a ciim la n'om uh.
For by this his will we are sanctified by the offering of the body of Jeshu Meshiha, which was once.
11 Te phoeiah khosoih boeih loh hnin takuem pai tih tho a thueng vaengah amah la hmueih a nawn taitu dae te long te tholh a khoe thai moenih.
For every high priest who stood and ministered every day, offered the same sacrifices, which can never purify (from) sins.
12 Tedae amah loh tholhnah yueng vaikhat la hmueih a nawn tih Pathen kah bantang ah kumhal la ngol coeng.
But this one sacrifice hath offered for sins, and hath sat down at the right hand of Aloha for ever:
13 Te lamkah a tloihsoi ah a rhal te a kho kah khotloeng la a khueh duela a rhing.
waiting from henceforth until his adversaries are set as a footstool beneath his feet.
For by one offering he hath perfected those who are sanctified through him for ever.
15 Te dongah Mueihla Cim long khaw mamih taengah a phong.
Now the witness unto us is the Spirit of Holiness, when he saith,
16 Te phoeiah, “He paipi tah te khohnin phoeiah ni amih taengah ka hal eh?,” a ti.
This is the covenant that I will give to them from after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my law in their minds, and upon their hearts will I inscribe it;
17 Te phoeiah amih kah tholh neh olaeknah te ka poek khuep voel mahpawh,” a ti.
and their iniquity and their sins I will not remember against them.
18 Amih kah khodawkngainah tah melae? Tholh ham hmueih a om pawt ah.
BUT WHERE THERE IS REMISSION OF SINS, THERE IS NOT REQUIRED AN OFFERING FOR SINS.
19 Te dongah, manuca rhoek, Jesuh thii rhang neh hmuencim ah kunnah ham sayalh la om coeng.
We have, therefore, my brethren, confidence to enter the holy place through the blood of Jeshu;
20 Tekah hniyan lamloh mamih ham aka hing longpuei thai a ong coeng. Te tah amah pum ni a thui.
and a way of life which he hath now made new to us through the veil, which is his flesh;
21 Te phoeiah Pathen im kah khosoih puei n'khueh uh coeng.
and we have the High Priest over the house of God.
22 Tangnah kah ngaikhueknah dongah thinko oltak neh paan uh sih. A thae la mingcimnah thinko te haek uh sih lamtah pum te tui cil neh tuihlu uh sih.
Let us, therefore, draw near with a confirmed heart, and the full security of faith, with our hearts sprinkled and cleansed from an evil conscience, and our body washed with pure waters;
23 Ol aka caeng kung te a uepom dongah aka cak ngaiuepnah dongkah olphoei mah pom uh sih.
and let us persevere in the confession of our hope, and not swerve; for faithful is He who hath promised us.
24 Te phoeiah lungnah, bibi then dongah umyanah ham khat neh khat hmat uh thae sih.
And let us consider one another with incitement to charity and good works.
25 Mamih kah humtunnah he pakhat kah khosing bangla phap uh boel lamtah hloep uh thae. Heyet khaw khohnin a yoei te boeih na hmuh ngai coeng.
And let us not forsake our congregation, as is the custom with some; but pray one with another; (and) so much the more as ye see that day to be approaching.
26 Oltak kah mingnah te n'dang phoeiah mamih he kalthalh la n'tholh he tholh hlah ham hmueih a om moenih.
For if with his will any man shall sin after he hath received the knowledge of the truth, there is not still a victim to be offered for sins;
27 Tedae laitloeknah mueirhih neh aka kingkalh te dolh ham aka cai kosi hmai pakhat ni a lamtawnnah coeng.
but a fearful judgment to come, and burning fire which devoureth the adversaries.
28 Khat khat loh Moses kah olkhueng te a aal vaengah sitlohnah om kolla panit pathum kah laipai neh duek.
For if he who transgressed the law of Musha, upon the mouth of two or three witnesses, without mercy died;
how much greater punishment, think ye, shall he receive who hath trampled upon the Son of Aloha, and hath counted the blood of the covenant of him by which he had been sanctified as that of every man and hath insulted the Spirit of grace?
30 “Kutthungnah he kai kah, ka sah bitni,” a ti khaw m'ming. Te phoeiah Boeipa loh a pilnam te lai a tloek pueng ni.
We know him who hath said, Retribution is mine, and I will repay: and again, The Lord shall judge his people.
How terrible to fall into the hands of Aloha the Living!
32 Te dongah hnukbuet kah a tue te thoelh uh. Te vaengkah loehlangnah muep aka hmuh loh patangnah te ueh uh.
Be mindful, therefore, of the first days, those in which ye received baptism; and when ye sustained a great agony of sufferings,
33 A ngen vaengah hnaelcoenah neh phacip phabaem neh a yan uh. A ngen vaengah tebang khosa rhoek kah pueipo la na om uh.
with ignominy and affliction; and when ye were made gazing-stocks, and were associated with men who also endured these (things).
34 Thongtla rhoek te khaw na rhen uh. Nangmih kah khuehtawn te halhkanah neh aka rhawt khaw omngaihnah neh na doe uh. Khuehtawn then neh aka kuei amah a om te na ming uh.
And it afflicted you on account of them who were bound; and the pillage of your goods with joy ye sustained, as knowing that ye have a possession in heaven, which is better, and passeth not away.
Te long te taphu a len a khueh.
Destroy not, therefore, the confidence which you have, for which there is a great reward.
36 Uehnah uh ham he a ngoe.
But patience is needed by you, that ye may do the will of Aloha, and receive the promise.
37 Kolkalh pueng ah aka pawk long tah boeih boeih ha pawk vetih koe mahpawh.
Because (yet) a little time, and a very little, and He who cometh shall come, and not be slow.
Te vaengah tonga koinih anih soah ka hinglu loh a lungtlun mahpawh.
But the just by the faith of me shall live; but if he become weary, my soul delighteth not in him.
39 Mamih tah pocinah ham tonganah pawt tih hinglu dangnah ham tangnah n'khueh uh.
But we are not of the weariness which bringeth to perdition, but of the faith which maketh us to possess our soul.
