And God said to Jacob, "Arise, go up to Bethel, and live there. Make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau."

Then God went up from him in the place where he spoke with him.

And Jacob set up a standing-stone in the place where he spoke with him, a pillar of stone. And he poured out a drink offering on it, and poured oil on it.

Jacob called the name of the place where God spoke with him Bethel.

Then they set out from Bethel. There was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and Rachel went into labor, and her labor was difficult.

When she was in the difficult labor, the midwife said to her, "Do not be afraid, for now you have another son."

It happened, as her life was departing (for she died), that she named him Ben-Oni, but his father named him Benjamin.

So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).

Jacob set up a standing-stone on her grave. It is the standing-stone of Rachel's grave to this day.

And Israel traveled and pitched his tent beyond Migdal Eder.

It happened, while Israel lived in that land, that Reuben went and slept with Bilhah, his father's secondary wife, and Israel heard about it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve.

The sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.

The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
25 Rakhel imom Bilhah ca rhoi la Dan neh Naphtali om.
And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's servant: Dan and Naphtali.
26 Leah salnu Zilpah ca la Gad neh Asher he om tih Paddanaram ah Jakob ca tongpa la a cun pah.
And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's servant: Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan Aram.
27 Te phoeiah Jakob loh Mamre Kiriatharba Hebron kah a napa Isaak taengla a pha. Teah te Abraham khaw Isaak khaw bakuep.
So Jacob came to Isaac his father at Mamre in Kiriath Arba (which is Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned.
28 Te vaengah Isaak kah khohnin loh kum ya neh kum sawmrhet lo coeng.
Now the days of Isaac were one hundred eighty years.
29 Isaak khaw pal tih a duek vaengah patong kum soep la a pilnam taengah khoem uh coeng. Anih te a ca rhoi Esau neh Jakob loh a up.
And Isaac took his last breath and died, and was gathered to his people, old and full of days. And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
