Ezekiel 5
1 Hlang capa nang samvo taengkah cunghang paihat aka haat te namah ham lo laeh. Te te namah ham lo lamtah na lu neh na hmuimul khaw vo laeh. Te phoeiah namah ham cooi khiing khueh lamtah boek.
And thou, son of man, take unto thyself a sharp sword, a barber's razor shalt thou take for it unto thyself, and cause it to pass over thy head and over thy beard: then take unto thee balances for weighing, and divide the hair.
2 Vongup khohnin a thok neh pathum ah pakhat te khopuei laklung ah hmaipuei neh kolh. Pathum ah pakhat te lo lamtah a kaepvai ah cunghang neh tloek. Te phoeiah pathum ah pakhat khohli dongla haeh. Amih hnukah cunghang ka khoh bitni.
One third part shalt thou burn with fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are completed; and thou shalt take another third part, and smite [it] round about it with the sword; and the other third part shalt thou scatter to the wind: and I will draw out a sword after the same.
3 Tedae te khui lamloh a sii ngai te bet lo lamtah na hnirhaep ah kaelh.
And take thence a few in number, and tie them up in the corners of thy garment.
4 Te lamkah te koep lo lamtah hmai khui la voei. Te te hmai neh hoeh lamtah te lamkah hmai te Israel imkhui pum la pak saeh.
And from these again shalt thou take some, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire: therefrom shall a fire go forth unto all the house of Israel.
5 Ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a thui. Jerusalem he namtom lakli ah a kaepvai kah khohmuen neh ka khueh.
Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, This is Jerusalem, which I had set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.
6 Tedae ka laitloeknah he namtom lakah, ka khosing te khaw a kaepvai kah kho rhoek lakah halangnah neh a koek. Ka laitloeknah te a hnawt uh tih ka khosing dongah pongpa uh pawh.
But she rebelled against my ordinances more wickedly than the nations, and against my statutes, more than the countries that are round about her; for my ordinances they have despised, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.
7 Te dongah ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a thui. Na kaepvai kah namtom lakah na hlangping dongah nim ka khosing dongah na pongpa uh pawt tih ka laitloeknah he na vai uh pawh. Na kaepvai namtom kah laitloeknah banglam pataeng na vai uh moenih.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because ye have given yourselves up to evil more than the nations that are round about you, have not walked in my statutes, and have not executed my ordinances, and not even acted according to the ordinances of the nations that are round about you:
8 Te dongah ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a thui. Kai kamah khaw nang kam pai thil coeng. Namtom mikhmuh kah laitloeknah neh na laklo ah ka saii ni.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I, also I am against thee, and I will execute judgments in the midst of thee before the eyes of the nations.
9 Nang kah tueilaehkoi cungkuem dongah ka saii vai pawt te nang taengah ka saii vetih te bang te koep ka saii mahpawh.
And I will do in thee that which I have never done, and the like of which I will never do any more, because of all thy abominations.
10 Te dongah na khui kah napa rhoek loh a ca rhoek, ca rhoek loh napa rhoek a caak uh ni. Na soah tholhphu kan suk vetih na meet boeih te khohli cungkuem taengla ka haeh ni.
Therefore fathers shall devour their children in the midst of thee, and children shall devour their fathers: and I will execute judgments on thee, and I will scatter all thy remnant unto all the winds.
11 Te dongah he tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni. Kai hingnah ni. Ka rhokso te namah kah sarhingkoi cungkuem neh, namah kah tueilaehkoi cungkuem neh na poeih het pawt nim? Te dongah ka hlaek vaengah ka mik loh rhen pawt vetih lungma ka ti van mahpawh.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, Surely, because thou hast made unclean my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thy abominations: therefore will I also diminish [thee]; and my eye shall not show pity, and I also will not spare.
12 Nang taengkah te hlopthum ah hlopkhat, duektahaw ah duek uh vetih na khui ah khokha loh a khah ni. Na kaepvai kah Hlopthum ah hlopkhat te cunghang dongah cungku uh ni. Pathum ah khohli cungkuem taengla ka haeh vetih amih hnukah cunghang ka khoh ni.
A third part of thee shall die through the pestilence, and come through famine to their end in the midst of thee; and another third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and the other third part will I scatter unto all the winds, and a sword will I draw out after them.
13 Te daengah ni amih taengkah ka thintoek a daeh neh ka kosi ka hlam vetih dam ka ti eh. Te vaengah BOEIPA kamah loh ka kosi he amih soah ka sah phoeiah khaw ka thatlainah neh ka voek te a ming uh bitni.
Thus shall my anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will satisfy myself: and they shall know that I the Lord have spoken it in my zeal, when I have let out all my fury on them.
14 Te phoeiah na kaepvai kah aka pongpa boeih mikhmuh neh namtom taengah nang te imrhong la, kokhahnah la kang khueh ni.
Yea, I will render thee a ruin, and a disgrace among the nations that are round about thee, before the eyes of every one that passeth by.
15 Kai loh nang soah tholhphu te thintoek neh, kosi neh kan saii vaengah na kaepvai kah namtom taengah kokhahnah neh hnaelcoenah, thuituennah neh a rhaerhap la om bitni. Te dongah BOEIPA kamah loh kosi kah toelthamnah nen ni ka thui.
And she shall be a disgrace and a taunt, a warning and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I execute judgments on thee in anger and in fury and in furious chastisements, —I the Lord have spoken it, —
16 Amih taengah yoethae khokha thaltang te ka kah ni. Nangmih aka phae ham te te ka kah te kutcaihnah lam ni a om. Te dongah nang soah khokha kang koei vetih nangmih kah thahuelnah buh te ka bawt ni.
When I send out among them the dreadful arrows of famine, which [ever] were the cause of destruction, which I will send out to destroy you; and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break unto you the staff of bread:
17 Nangmih taengah khokha neh boethae mulhing kan tueih vetih nangmih te cakol la n'khueh ni. Duektahaw neh thii loh nang te m'pah vetih na taengah cunghang kang khuen ni. BOEIPA kamah long ni ka thui.
So will I let loose over you famine and wild beasts, and they shall make thee childless; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and the sword will I bring over thee. I the Lord have spoken it.
