And he humbled thee, and allowed thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knew not, neither did thy fathers know, that he might make thee know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of Jehovah.
4 Nang dong lamkah na himbai khaw hmawn pawt tih kum likip khuiah na kho khaw phat pawh.
Thy raiment did not grow old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
5 Te dongah hlang loh a ca a toel bangla BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang n'toel te na thinko neh ming lah.
And thou shall consider in thy heart, that, as a man chastens his son, so Jehovah thy God chastens thee.
6 Te dongah longpuei ah pongpa ham neh amah rhih ham tah BOEIPA na Pathen kah olpaek te ngaithuen lah.
And thou shall keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

a land in which thou shall eat bread without scarceness. Thou shall not lack anything in it, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou may dig copper.
10 Tedae na caak tih na hah vaengah nang taengah khohmuen then neh aka phaeng BOEIPA na Pathen uem uh.
And thou shall eat and be full, and thou shall bless Jehovah thy God for the good land which he has given thee.

Beware lest thou forget Jehovah thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers did not know, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end.
17 Te dongah na thinko khuiah, 'Khuehtawn he kamah thadueng, kamah ban thaa loh kamah ham a saii,’ na ti ve.
And lest thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
18 Tedae tihnin kah bangla na pa rhoek taengah a caeng paipi te cak sak tih khuehtawn dang sak ham nang taengah thadueng aka pae BOEIPA na Pathen amah te poek.
But thou shall remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he who gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to thy fathers, as at this day.
19 BOEIPA na Pathen te na hnilh la na hnilh tih pathen tloe hnukah na caeh atah, amih taengah tho na thueng atah, amih te na bakop thil khohnin van vaengah na milh rhoe na milh ham ni nang taengah ka laipai.
And it shall be, if thou shall forget Jehovah thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 Na mikhmuh ah BOEIPA loh namtom rhoek a milh sak bangla BOEIPA na Pathen ol te na ya pawt vetih na milh uh van ve.
As the nations that Jehovah makes to perish before you, so shall ye perish, because ye would not hearken to the voice of Jehovah your God.
