1 Judea lamkah aka suntla hlangvang loh, “Moses kah khosing bangla yahvin na rhet pawt atah khang la na om thai mahpawh, “tila manuca rhoek te a thuituen uh.
And, certain persons, coming down from Judea, began to teach the brethren—Except ye be circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 Te dongah olpungnah om tih Paul, Barnabas neh amih laklo kah oelhtaihnah te a yool mai moenih. Te oldawtnah dongah Jerusalem kah caeltueih rhoek neh a ham rhoek taengah Paul, Barnabas neh amih lamkah hlangtloe khat khat te caeh sak ham a mop uh.
And, when Paul and Barnabas had had no little dissension and discussion with them, it was arranged that Paul and Barnabas and certain others from among them should go up unto the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem concerning this question,
3 Hlangboel loh a thak uh tih Phoiniki neh Samaria ah a caeh uh vaengah namtom rhoek kah thovaelnah te a saep uh. Te vaengah manuca boeih tah omngaihnah muep a cuen pah.
They, therefore, being set forward by the Assembly, began passing through Phoenicia and Samaria, fully relating the conversion of them of the nations, and were causing great joy unto all the brethren.
4 Jerusalem a pha uh vaengah hlangboel, caeltueih neh a ham rhoek loh a doe uh tih, amih taengah Pathen loh a saii pah te a puen pauh.
And, having arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the Assembly and the Apostles and the Elders; and they recounted all things God had done with them.
5 Tedae Pharisee buhlaelh lamkah hlangvang aka pai rhoek long khaw a tangnah tih, “Namtom te yahvin rhet sak tih Moses kah olkhueng tuem sak ham uen a kuek,” a ti uh.
But there [had] stood forth some of those who, from the sect of Pharisees, had believed, saying—It is needful to be circumcising them, also to charge them to be keeping the law of Moses.
6 Te dongah hekah olka kawng ming hamla caeltueih rhoek neh a ham rhoek tah tingtun uh.
And the Apostles and Elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7 Oelhtaihnah muep a om dongah Peter loh pai hang tih amih te, “Hlang rhoek manuca rhoek, 'Ka ka lamkah olthangthen ol he namtom a yaak sak tih a tangnah ham khosuen tue lamkah ni Pathen loh nangmih khuikah a tuek te, 'na hmat uh.
And, when much discussion had arisen, Peter standing up, said unto them—Brethren! Ye yourselves, well know that, in days long past, amongst you, God chose that, through my mouth, the nations should hear the word of the glad tidings, and believe.
8 Mamih taengkah bangla amih taengah khaw lungming Pathen loh a phong pah tih Mueihla Cim a paek coeng.
And, the heart-observing God, bare witness, —unto them, giving the Holy Spirit, just as, even unto us;
9 Te dongah mamih neh amih laklo ah a boelhkhoeh moenih. Amih kah thinko he tangnah neh a ciim coeng.
and made no distinction at all betwixt us and them, by their faith, purifying their hearts.
10 A pa rhoek long khaw, mamih long khaw phueih hamla aka coeng pawh hnamkun te hnukbang rhoek kah rhawn ah tloeng pah ham, balae tih Pathen ke na noemcai uh.
Now, therefore, why are ye proving God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which, neither our fathers, nor we, have been able to bear.
11 Khang la om ham he Boeipa Jesuh kah lungvatnah lamloh n'tangnah vanbangla amih long khaw a longim bangla om van,” a ti nah.
But, through the favour of the Lord Jesus, we believe we shall be saved, in like manner as, even they.
12 Rhaengpuei boeih loh kam a khuem. Te vaengah amih rhoi lamloh namtom taengah Pathen loh miknoek neh khobae rhambae a saii pah te Barnabas neh Paul loh a thui rhoi tih a hnatun uh.
And all the throng held their peace, and began to hearken unto Barnabas and Paul relating how many signs and wonders God had done among the nations, through them.
13 Amih rhoi te kam a khuem vaengah James loh a doo tih, “Ka manuca rhoek, ka hlang rhoek kai ol hnatun uh lah.
And, after they held their peace, James answered, saying—Brethren! hearken unto me.
14 A ming ham tah namtom pilnam khuikah khaw loh hamla Pathen loh a hip lamhma te Simeon loh a thui coeng.
Symeon, hath fully told how God, first visited, to take out of the nations, a people for his name.
15 A daek bangla tonghma rhoek kah ol nen khaw tekah te tluep coeng.
And, with this, agree the words of the prophets, according as it is written—
16 Te phoeiah bal vetih David kah dap aka bung te koep ka sak ni. A palet tangtae te khaw koep ka sak vetih ka duel ni.
After these things, will I return, and will rebuild the tent of David that hath fallen, and, the ruins thereof, will I rebuild, and will set it up again:
17 Te daengah ni aka cul rhoek loh Boeipa kah hlang te a tlap vetih, amih te namtom boeih loh ka ming a phoei thil eh.
That the residues of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations upon whom my name hath been called, saith the Lord that doeth these things,
Known from age-past times. (aiōn g165)
19 Te dongah Pathen taengla aka bal namtom rhoek te toeh pawt ham ni kai tah ka cai.
Wherefore, I, judge, not to be troubling them who, from the nations, are turning unto God;
20 Tedae mueirhol kah a tihnai, Cukhalnah, rhawnkhak sa neh thii te rhael ham amih taengah ca ka pat.
but to write unto them, to abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 Moses cabu te khosuen rhuirhong lamkah khopuei takuem ah a thui uh. Te te tunim ah om tih Sabbath takuem ah a tae coeng,” a ti nah.
For, Moses, out of ancient generation, hath, in every city, them who proclaim him; seeing, that in the synagogues, every sabbath, he is read.
22 Te vaengah caeltueih rhoek, patong rhoek neh hlangboel boeih loh, manuca rhoek khuiah hlang aka mawt Barasabbas la a khue Judas neh Silas te amih lamkah hlang la a tuek tih, Paul neh Barnabas taengah Antiok la tueih ham ol a tloek.
Then, seemed it good unto the Apostles and the Elders with the whole Assembly to send chosen men from among them unto Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, —even Judas who is called Barsabbas, and Silas, men taking a lead among the brethren:
23 Amamih kut neh, “Caeltueih rhoek, patong rhoek neh manuca rhoek loh Antiok, Syria neh Kilikia tom kah manuca namtom rhoek te ka uem uh.
writing through their hand—The Apostles and the Elder Brethren, unto the brethren throughout Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, who are from among the nations, wish joy!
24 Hlangvang tah mamih taeng lamkah nong coeng tila ka yaak uh. Nangmih kah hinglu aka toeh olka dongah na hinghuen uh. Amih te ol ka paek uh dae moenih.
Inasmuch as we had heard that, certain from among us, had troubled you with words, dismantling your souls, —unto whom we had given no instructions,
25 Te dongah tun ka hui uh tih, “Nangmih taeng neh mamih kah thintlo Barnabas neh Paul taengah hlang tueih ham tuek sih,” a ti uh.
It seemed good unto us, coming to be of one accord, that we should choose men and send them unto you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, —
26 Amih tah Jesuh Khrih, mamih kah Boeipa ming ham a hinglu aka voei hlang rhoek ni.
men who have given up their lives in behalf of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 Te dongah Judas neh Silas te ka tueih uh. Ahmih rhoi khaw amah hmuen la olka neh ha puen rhoi.
We have sent, therefore, Judas and Silas, who also, themselves, by word of mouth, can tell you the same things.
28 Te te kuek mai cakhaw thinrhih neh nangmih muep nan pawt ham, kaimih ham khaw Mueihla Cim neh ka poek uh.
For it hath seemed good unto the Holy Spirit and unto us, no greater burden, to be laying upon you, than these necessary things: —
29 Tedae mueirhol buh, thii, rhawnkhak neh Cukhalnah tah rhael mai. Te khui lamloh namamih na cue uh te hnothen ni na saii eh?, sading la ne, “tila a daek pah.
To be abstaining from idol sacrifices, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication, —From which, if ye keep yourselves, ye shall prosper. Fare ye well.
30 Te dongah amih tah phih uh tih Antiok la suntla uh. Te phoeiah rhaengpuei te a coi tih capat te a paek uh.
They, therefore, being let go, came down unto Antioch; and, having gathered together the throng, delivered the letter,
31 Thaphohnah te a tae uh vaengah omngaih uh.
and, when they read it, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 Judas neh Silas amamih rhoi khaw tonghma la bok a om rhoi dongah manuca rhoek te olka neh muep a hloep rhoi tih a thoh rhoi.
And, both Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, with much discourse, consoled and confirmed the brethren.
33 A tue a hnonah rhoi phoeiah ngaimong la phih uh tih manuca rhoek te amih aka tueih rhoek taengla baluh.
And, when they had spent a time, they were let go, in peace, from the brethren, unto them who had sent them.
34 Tedae Paul neh Barnabas tah Antiok ah om rhoi pueng dongah,
35 hlangtloe taengah khaw Boeipa kah olka te muep a thuituen tih a phong rhoi.
But, Paul and Barnabas, tarried in Antioch, teaching and telling the joyful tidings, —along with many others also, —of the word of the Lord.
36 Khohnin bet a di phoeiah Barnabas te Paul loh, “Bal sih lamtah Boeipa olka n'doek nah kho takuem kah manuca rhoek te metla a om uh khaw hip lah sih,” a ti nah.
And, after certain days, Paul, said unto Barnabas—Let us now return, and visit the brethren in every city in which we have declared the word of the Lord, and see how they are.
37 Te vaengah Marku la a khue Johan te khaw Barnabas loh khuen la cai.
And, Barnabas, was minded to take with them John also, called Mark;
38 Tedae anih te Pamphylia lamloh amih rhoi te a nong tak coeng dongah anih te amih rhoi neh puei uh pawt tih bibi la khuen pawt ham te Paul loh a thuem sak.
but Paul deemed it right, as to him who had withdrawn from them, back from Pamphylia, and had not gone with them unto the work, not to be taking with them, this, man.
39 Te dongah amih rhoi te umyanah om tih khat neh khat paek uh rhoi. Te dongah Barnabas tah Kupros la kat ham Marku te a khuen.
And there arose an angry feeling, so that they separated one from the other: and, Barnabas, taking Mark, sailed away unto Cyprus, —
40 Paul long khaw manuca rhoek loh Boeipa kah lungvatnah dongah a tloeng tangtae Silas te a khue tih cet van.
whereas, Paul, choosing Silas, went forth, committed unto the favour of the Lord by the brethren,
41 Te phoeiah Syria neh Kilikia te a hil tih hlangboel rhoek te a thoh.
and proceeded to pass through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.
