< 2 Peter 3 >

1 Thintlo rhoek, nangmih taengah capat a pabae kan daek coeng he. Te rhoi dongah kopoek a caih la thoelhnah neh nangmih kan haeng.
This second epistle, beloved, I now write to you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 Tonghma cim rhoek lamkah olka neh khangkung Boeipa kah olpaek te nangmih kah caeltueih rhoek loh a thui te poek.
That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
3 Nangmih taengah, “Khohnin hnukkhueng ah tamdaengkung rhoek om ni, amih te hoehhamnah ah hlangrhong la pongpa uh,” a ti uh.
Knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 Te vaengah amah a lonah olkhueh tah melam a om?” a ti. Pa rhoek aka ip uh parhi te a cungkuem tah suentae a tongnah lamkah bangla nguel coeng.
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.
5 He tah amih loh phah a ngaih uh. Vaan tah ana om daengrhae tih tui lamloh diklai ana om ta. Te vaengah tui dong lamloh Pathen kah ol ana tueng ta.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Diklai tah tui nen te a lii tih a thup uh.
By which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 Tedae vaan neh diklai tah ol neh amah la a tung hmai dongkah la om coeng. Baltalh hlang rhoek kah laitloeknah neh pocinah khohnin ham khaw a tuem pah coeng.
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 Tedae he tah pakhat long khaw nangmih taengah phah boel saeh. Thintlo rhoek aw, khohnin pakhat he Boeipa taengah tah kum thawngkhat bangla, kum thawngkhat khaw hnin at bangla om.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 Boeipa loh olkhueh ham a hnong moenih. A ngen loh a hnong bangla a poek uh. Tedae nangmih taengah a thinsen. Pakhat khaw thup ham pawt tih yutnah dongla boeih ael sak a ngaih.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 Tedae Boeipa kah khohnin loh hlanghuen bangla ha pawk ni. Te vaengah vaan tah khum khungdaeng ni. A niing khaw ung vetih hmata ni. Diklai neh a khuikah bibi khaw phoe ni.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein will be burned up.
11 A cungkuem he a hlam tangloeng coeng. A cim omih neh hingcimnah dongah nangmih te metla om nim a kuek?
[Seeing] then [that] all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy deportment and godliness,
12 Pathen kah a khohnin a lonah te lamtawn uh lamtah rhingda uh. Te kongah vaan ke a rhoh vetih a hlak ni. A niing khaw ung vetih tlae ni.
Looking for and hasting to the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Tedae a olkhueh vanbangla vaan thai neh diklai thai n'lamtawn uh. Te ah ni duengnah loh kho a sak.
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwelleth righteousness.
14 Te dongah thintlo rhoek, hekah he aka lamtawn loh a cuemhmuet neh hmabuet la amah te ngaimongnah neh hmuh ham haam uh lah.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 Te dongah mamih boeipa kah thinsennah, khangnah te poek uh. Mamih kah manuca thintlo Paul long khaw a taengah a paek cueihnah tarhingah nangmih ham a daek coeng.
And account [that] the long-suffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written to you;
16 He kawng he amih taengah capat neh boeih a thui van coeng. Te khuiah olkael bet om. Te te lunghmang neh yutho rhoek loh a tloe cacim bangla amah ah a pocinah la a vil uh.
As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 Te dongah nangmih thintlo rhoek tah ming lamtah khoembael uh. Te daengah ni cungpoeh halang rhoek kah tholhhiknah dongah na rhoihbaih uh tih na thincaknah te na hlong uh pawt eh.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 Tedae mamih Boeipa neh khangkung Jesuh Khrih kah lungvatnah neh mingnah dongah rhoeng uh. Thangpomnah tah amah taengah kumhal tue duela om pawn saeh. Amen. (aiōn g165)
But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
