< 2 Peter 1 >

1 Jesuh Khrih kah sal neh caeltueih Simon Peter loh, tangnah dongah mamih kah Pathen neh khangkung Jesuh Khrih kah duengnah, mamih neh vantlip la aka yo rhoek taengah kan yaak sak.
Simon Peter, servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have been allotted an equal faith with us in the justice of our God and in our Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Nangmih Lungvatnah neh ngaimongnah tah Pathen neh mamih boeipa Jesuh mingnah lamloh nangmih taengah ping saeh.
Grace to you. And may peace be fulfilled according to the plan of God and of Christ Jesus our Lord,
3 Amah thaomnah Pathen kah a tarhing ah hingnah neh hingcimnah ham, a thangpomnah neh boethen dongah mamih aka khue te mingnah lamloh, mamih taengah a cungkuem m'paek coeng.
in the same manner that all things which are for life and piety have been given to us by his Divine virtue, through the plan of him who has called us to our own glory and virtue.
4 Te lamlong ni a phu aka tlo tih aka lenkoek olkhueh te mamih m'paek. Te daengah ni he rhoek lamloh Pathen kah a coengnah kah a pueipo, Diklai hoehhamnah dongkah hmawnnah neh na loeih la na om eh.
Through Christ, he has given us the greatest and most precious promises, so that by these things you may become sharers in the Divine Nature, fleeing from the corruption of that desire which is in the world.
5 He dongah thahluenah te boeih rhoih uh. Khoboethen te na tangnah neh, mingnah te khoboethen neh,
But as for you, taking up every concern, minister virtue in your faith; and in virtue, knowledge;
6 mingnah te kuemsuemnah neh, kuemsuemnah te uehnah neh, uehnah te hingcimnah neh,
and in knowledge, moderation; and in moderation, patience; and in patience, piety;
7 hingcimnah te khaw manuca lungnah neh, manuca lungnah te khaw lungnah neh thap uh.
and in piety, love of brotherhood; and in love of brotherhood, charity.
8 He rhoek tah nangmih ah om tih a pungtai dongah mamih boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah mingnah dongah palyal pawt tih a tlongtlai n'khueh moenih.
For if these things are with you, and if they abound, they will cause you to be neither empty, nor without fruit, within the plan of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 He rhoek neh aka om pawt te tah mikdael la om tih a hmuh toi. A tholh dingrhae vaengkah cimcaihnah te hnilhnah a khueh.
For he who does not have these things at hand is blind and groping, being forgetful of his purification from his former offenses.
10 Te dongah, manuca rhoek, nangmih kah khuenah neh tueknah te saii hamla khangmai la haam uh lah. Te te aka saii tah vaikhat khaw na paloe loengloeng mahpawh.
Because of this, brothers, be all the more diligent, so that by good works you may make certain your calling and election. For in doing these things, you do not sin at any time.
11 Te daengah ni mamih Boeipa neh Khangkung Jesuh Khrih kah dungyan ram la kunnah te nangmih ham kodam la han thap eh. (aiōnios g166)
For in this way, you shall be provided abundantly with an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
12 Te dongah hekah a kawng he na ming uh tih, oltak dongah na om uh te cawt duel cakhaw nangmih te a thoelh ham ka cai taitu.
For this reason, I will always begin to admonish you about these things, even though, certainly, you know them and are confirmed in the present truth.
13 Tahae kah rhaehim ah ka om khuiah thoelhnah neh nangmih haeng ham te khaw dueng tila ka poek.
But I consider it just, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up with admonishments.
14 Mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh Khrih long pataeng kai taengah a thuicaih vanbangla kai kah rhaehim a capitnah tah om pawn ni tila ka ming.
For it is certain that the laying to rest of this, my tabernacle, is approaching swiftly, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has also indicated to me.
15 Tedae kai te ka sunglatnah hnukah he he nangmih taengah poekkoepnah khueh sak taitu ham khaw ka haam.
Therefore, I will present a work for you to have, so that, frequently after my passing, you may call to mind these things.
16 Mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah thaomnah neh a lonah te cil la ka phueng uh tih ka vai dongah nangmih taengah kam phoe uh moenih. Tedae a lennah te aka hmukung rhoek la ka om uh ta.
For it was not by following fanciful doctrines that we made known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were made eyewitnesses of his greatness.
17 Pa Pathen taeng lamkah hinyahnah neh thangpomnah a doe vaengah tebang aka khuet thangpomnah lamloh, “Kamah capa tah kamah thintlo pai ni he, a soah kai ka lungtlun,” tila anih taengah ol hang khuen.
For he received honor and glory from God the Father, whose voice descended to him from the magnificent glory: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
18 Tlang cim ah amah neh ka om uh vaengah vaan lamkah hekah ol he hang khuen tih, kaimih long khaw ka yaak uh.
We also heard this voice conveyed from heaven, when we were with him on the holy mountain.
19 Te phoeiah tonghma ol te khaw khangmai la ka khueh uh. Tekah te nangmih thinko ah khothai tih thuipa a thoeng duela tikhut hmuen ah aka vang hmaiim bangla ngaithuen uh lamtah balh saii uh.
And so, we have an even firmer prophetic word, to which you would do well to listen, as to a light shining within a dark place, until the day dawns, and the daystar rises, in your hearts.
20 He he lamhma la ming uh. Cacim kah tonghma ol boeih tah amah la thuicaihnah a om moenih.
Understand this first: that every prophecy of Scripture does not result from one’s own interpretation.
21 Tonghma ol tah hlang kongaih lamloh hang khuen noek moenih. Tedae Mueihla Cim kah a mawt rhangneh Pathen taengkah ni hlang loh a phong.
For prophecy was not conveyed by human will at any time. Instead, holy men were speaking about God while inspired by the Holy Spirit.
