1 Anih tue vaengah te Babylon manghai Nebukhanezar loh a muk. Te dongah Jehoiakim tah sal la kum thum om coeng dae mael tih Nebukhadnezzar te a tloelh.
In his days, came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, —and Jehoiakim became his servant three years, then turned he and rebelled against him.
2 BOEIPA loh anih taengla Khalden caem neh Aram caem khaw, Moab caem rhoek neh Ammon koca kah caem khaw a tuieh pah. BOEIPA ol bangla anih milh sak ham amih te Judah la a tueih. Te a sal tonghma rhoek kut ah a thui coeng.
And Yahweh sent against him troops of Chaldeans, and troops of Syrians, and troops of Moabites, and troops of the sons of Ammon, yea he sent them against Judah, to destroy him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake through his servants the prophets.
3 Manasseh kah tholhnah cungkuem a saii dongah BOEIPA ol bangla a mikhmuh lamloh khoe ham Judah taengah rhep thoeng coeng.
Surely, it was, because of the anger of Yahweh, that this came upon Judah, to remove them from his presence, —for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done:
4 Ommongsitoe thii khaw a long sak tih Jerusalem te ommongsitoe thii loh a li. Te dongah BOEIPA loh khodawkngai ham huem pawh.
moreover also, for the innocent blood that he had shed, so that he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, —which Yahweh was not willing to pardon.
5 Jehoiakim kah ol noi neh a saii boeih te Judah manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh moenih a?
Now, the rest of the story of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
6 Jehoiakim te a napa rhoek taengla a khoem uh vaengah tah a capa Jehoiakhin te anih yueng la manghai.
So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, —and, Jehoiachin his son, reigned, in his stead.
7 Te vaengah Egypt manghai taengah aka om boeih te Egypt soklong lamloh Perath tuiva hil te Babylon manghai loh a loh pah coeng dongah Egypt manghai loh a khohmuen lamkah mop hamla koep khoep voel pawh.
And the king of Egypt came no more again out of his land, —for the king of Babylon had taken—from the ravine of Egypt, unto the river Euphrates, all that had belonged to the king of Egypt.
8 Jehoiakhin he kum hlai rhet a lo ca vaengah manghai tih Jerusalem ah hla thum manghai. A manu ming tah Jerusalem lamkah Elnathan canu Nehushta ni.
Eighteen years old, was Jehoiachin when he began to reign, and, three months, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan, of Jerusalem.
9 A napa rhoek kah a saii bang boeih la BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae a saii bal.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, his father, had done.
10 Te vaeng tue ah Babylon manghai Nebukhanezar kah sal rhoek te Jerusalem la cet, cet uh tih khopuei te vongup ah a om sak.
At that time, came up the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem, —and the city came into the siege.
11 Te dongah khopuei la Babylon manghai Nebukhanezar a pawk vaengah tah a sal rhoek loh khopuei te ana dum uh coeng.
And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants were about to besiege it.
12 Judah manghai Jehoiakhin loh a manu khaw, a sal rhoek khaw, a mangpa rhoek khaw, a imkhoem rhoek khaw Babylon manghai taengla a kun puei. Te dongah anih te a manghai nah kum rhet vaengah Babylon manghai loh a khuen.
Then came out Jehoiachin king of Judah, unto the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his generals, and his courtiers, —and the king of Babylon took him, in the eighth year of his reign.
13 Te lamlong tah BOEIPA im kah thakvoh neh manghai im kah thakvoh khaw boeih a phueih pah. BOEIPA kah a thui bangla BOEIPA bawkim ham Israel manghai Solomon loh a saii sui hnopai cungkuem te khaw a khuen.
And he carried forth from thence, all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, —and he cut off all the fittings of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Yahweh, according to all that, Yahweh, had spoken.
14 Jerusalem boeih neh mangpa boeih te khaw a poelyoe tih tatthai hlangrhalh rhoek thawng rha boeih a poelyoe. Khohmuen pilnam kah khodaeng bueng phoeiah tah kutthai neh thidae khaw boeih paih pawh.
And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the generals, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand becoming captives, and all the artificers and the smiths, —none remained save the poorest of the people of the land.
15 Te vaengah Jehoiakhin te khaw, manghai manu khaw, manghai yuu rhoek khaw, a imkhoem rhoek neh khohmuen kah tutal hlang ang rhoek khaw, Babylon la a poelyoe tih Jerusalem lamloh Babylon ah vangsawn la a khuen.
And he carried away captive Jehoiachin, to Babylon, —and, the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his courtiers, and the nobles of the land, took he away captive, from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 Te vaengah tatthai hlang boeih thawng rhih, kutthai neh thidae thawng khat, caemtloek aka noeng hlangrhalh boeih khaw Babylon manghai loh Babylon ah vangsawn la a khuen.
And, all the men of might—seven thousand, and artificers and smiths—a thousand, all who were valiant and ready to make war, the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.
17 Babylon manghai loh Jehoiakhin yueng la a napanoe Mattaniah a manghai sak tih a ming te Zedekiah la a hoi pah.
And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his relative, king in his stead, —and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 Zedekiah he kum kul kum khat a lo ca vaengah manghai tih Jerusalem ah kum hlai khat manghai. A manu ming Hamutal tah Libnah lamkah Jeremiah canu Hamutal ni.
Twenty-one years old, was Zedekiah when he began to reign, and, eleven years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 Anih khaw Jehoiakim kah a saii bang boeih la BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae a saii.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Jehoiakim, had done.
20 Amih te a mikhmuh lamloh a voeih hil BOEIPA kah thintoek he Jerusalem taeng neh Judah taengah om pueng. Tedae Zedekiah loh Babylon manghai te a tloelh.
For, it was because the anger of Yahweh had come against Jerusalem, and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled, against the king of Babylon.
