1 Israel manghai Jeroboam kah kum kul kum rhih dongah Judah manghai Amaziah capa Azariah te manghai van.
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

Sixteen years old, was he when he began to reign, and, fifty-two years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jecholiah, of Jerusalem.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Amaziah his father, had done.

Only, the high places, took they not away, —still were the people sacrificing and burning incense in the high places.
5 BOEIPA loh manghai te a ben dongah a dueknah hnin duela pahuk. Te dongah im hloeh la om tih im ah manghai capa Jotham loh khohmuen pilnam te lai a tloek pah.
And Yahweh smote the king, so that he became a leper, until the day of his death, and dwelt in a lazar-house, —and, Jotham, son of the king, was over the house, judging the people of the land.

And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers, in the city of David, —and, Jotham his son, reigned, in his stead.
8 Judah manghai Azariah kah a kum sawmthum kum rhet vaengah Samaria kah Israel te Jeroboam capa Zekhariah loh hla rhuk a manghai thil.
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Zechariah son of Jeroboam to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] six months.
9 A napa rhoek kah a saii bangla BOEIPA mik ah boethae ni a saii. Israel aka tholh sak Nebat capa Jeroboam kah tholhnah lamloh a nong moenih.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, as did his fathers, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.
10 Jabesh capa Shallum loh anih te a taeng tih pilnam mikhmuh ah anih te a ngawn. Anih te a ngawn van nen tah anih yuengla manghai.
Then conspired against him, Shallum son of Jabesh, and smote him before the people, and slew him, —and reigned in his stead.
11 Zekhariah kah ol noi khaw Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh coeng ne.
Now, the rest of the story of Zechariah, behold it! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
12 Jehu taengah BOEIPA ol a thui pah bangla, “Nang lamkah a khong li ca hil tah Israel ngolkhoel dongah ngol ni,” a ti nah te thoeng tangloeng coeng.
That, was the word of Yahweh, which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons, to four generations, shall sit on the throne of Israel. And it was so!
13 Judah manghai Uzziah kah kum sawmthum kum ko vaengah Jabesh capa Shallum manghai tih Samaria ah hla khat hnin khat manghai.
Shallum the son of Jabesh, began to reign, in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah, —for the space of a month in Samaria.
14 Te phoeiah tah Tirzah lamkah Gadi capa Menahem te cet tih Samaria la pawk. Te vaengah Samaria kah Jabesh capa Shallum te a ngawn tih anih a duek sak phoeiah tah anih yueng la manghai.
Then came up Menahem son of Gadi, from Tirzah, and entered Samaria, and smote Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, —and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15 Shallum kah ol noi khaw, lairhui loh anih a ven te khaw Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh coeng he.

16 Tiphsah Menahem neh a khuikah boeih khaw, Tirzah lamloh a khorhi te khaw a tloek. Thoh a ong pah pawt dongah bungvawn boeih te khaw a ngawn tih a bung a boe pah.
Then, Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the boundaries thereof, from Tirzah, because they opened not, therefore he smote them, —all the women therein that were with child, he ripped up.
17 Judah manghai Azariah kah a kum sawmthum kum ko vaengah Samaria kah Gadi capa Menahem loh Israel te kum rha a manghai thil.
In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Menahem son of Gadi to reign over Israel, ten years [reigned he], in Samaria.
18 Amah tue khuiah tah BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae a saii tih Israel aka tholh sak Nebat capa Jeroboam kah tholhnah lamloh a nong moenih.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit, all his days.
19 Assyria manghai Pul loh khohmuen a muk vaengah anih neh kut at la om ham khaw, amah kut ah ram duel ham khaw Menahem loh Pul taengah tangka talent thawng khat a paek.
Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, so Menahem gave unto Pul, a thousand talents of silver, —that his hands might be with him, to confirm the kingdom, in his hand.
20 Menahem loh tangka te Israel taeng lamkah khaw, tatthai hlangrhalh boeih taeng lamkah khaw a khuen. Assyria manghai taengah a paek ham te hlang khat ah tangka shekel sawmnga a coi pah daengah Assyria manghai te khoe uh tih khohmuen ah khosa pawh.
And Menahem exacted the silver of Israel, of all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Assyria, fifty shekels of silver, of each man, —so the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there, in the land.

And Menahem slept with his fathers, —and, Pekahiah his son, reigned in his stead.
23 Judah manghai Azariah kah kum sawmnga kum vaengah Menahem capa Pekahiah tah Samaria ah Israel kum nit a manghai thil.
In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekahiah son of Menahem to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] two years.
24 BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae a saii tih Israel aka tholh sak Nebat capa Jeroboam kah tholhnah lamloh a nong moenih.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.
25 Anih te a rhalboei Remaliah capa Pekah loh a taeng. Te dongah anih te Argob neh, Arieh neh, a taengkah Giladi ca rhoek lamkah hlang sawmnga loh Samaria kah manghaimanghai im, impuei ah a ngawn. Anih te a duek sak phoeiah tah a yueng la amah tloep manghai.
And there conspired against him—Pekah son of Remaliah, a hero of his, and smote him in Samaria, in the citadel of the house of a king, with Argob and with Arieh, and, with him, fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, —and he slew him, and reigned in his stead.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekah son of Remaliah to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] twenty years.
28 BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae a saii tih Israel aka tholh sak Nebat capa Jeroboam kah tholhnah lamloh a nong moenih.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.
29 Israel manghai Pekah tue vaengah Assyria manghai Tiglathpileser loh a paan tih Ijon, Abel, Janoah, Kedesh neh Hazor, Gilead, Galilee neh Naphtali khohmuen pum te a loh pah. Te phoeiah amih te Assyria la a poelyoe.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, came Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali—and carried them away captive to Assyria.
30 Elah capa Hosea loh Remaliah capa Pekah te lairhui a sui thil. Pekah te a ngawn tih a duek sak phoeiah tah Uzziah capa Jotham kah a kum kul vaengah Pekah yueng la manghai.
And Hoshea son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah, son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, —in the twentieth year of Jotham, son of Uzziah.

32 Israel manghai Remaliah capa Pekah kah a kum bae dongah Judah manghai Uzziah capa Jotham manghai van.
In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, began Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.
33 Anih te kum kul kum nga a lo ca vaengah manghai tih Jerusalem ah kum hlai rhuk manghai. A manu ming tah Zadok canu Jerusha ni.
Twenty-five years old, was he, when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he, in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jerusha, daughter of Zadok.
34 BOEIPA mikhmuh ah a thuem ni a saii. A cungkuem dongah a napa Uzziah kah a saii bangla a saii.
And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that Uzziah his father had done.
35 Te cakhaw hmuensang te a khoe moenih. Hmuensang ah pilnam a nawn tih a phum pueng. Anih loh BOEIPA im kah imhman vongka te a saii.
Only, the high places, took they not away, still were the people offering sacrifice and burning incense in the high places, —he, built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh.
36 Jotham kah ol noi neh a bi saii te Judah manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek uh moenih a?
Now, the rest of the story of Jotham, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
37 Te vaeng tue ah ana tong tih BOEIPA loh Judah taengla Aram manghai Rezin neh Remaliah capa Pekah te a tueih coeng.
In those days, began Yahweh to send against Judah, Rezin, king of Syria, —and Pekah son of Remaliah.
38 Jotham te a napa rhoek taengla a khoem uh vaengah a napa David khopuei kah a napa rhoek taengah a up. Te phoeiah a capa Ahaz te anih yueng la manghai.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Ahaz his son, reigned, in his stead.
