1 Ahab ca rhoek he Samaria ah sawmrhih om. Te dongah Jehu loh ca a daek tih Samaria la a pat. Jezreel kah mangpa a ham rhoek neh Ahab aka tangnah rhoek taengah,
Now Ahab had seventy descendants in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, including the elders and the guardians of Ahab's descendants, saying,
2 Tahae ah he kah ca loh nangmih taeng neh nangmih taengkah na boei ca rhoek taengah ha pawk vanbangla nangmih taengah leng neh marhang, khopuei hmuencak neh lungpok haica khaw om lah ko.
“Your master's descendants are with you, and you also have chariots and horses and a fortified city and armor. So then, as soon as this letter comes to you,

select the best and most deserving of your master's descendants and set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's royal line.”
4 Tedae bahoeng, bahoeng a rhih uh dongah, “Manghai rhoi pataeng a mikhmuh ah a pai ngoeng pawt vaengah mamih metlae m'pai eh he,” a ti uh.
But they were terrified and said among themselves, “See, the two kings could not stand before Jehu. So how can we stand?”
5 Te dongah im hman kah neh khopuei kah khaw, a hamca rhoek neh a tangnah rhoek te Jehu taengla a tueih tih, “Kaimih he namah kah sal rhoek ni. Te dongah kaimih taengah na thui bangla boeih ka ngai uh ni. Hlang pakhat khaw ka manghai sak uh pawt dongah na mik ah then na ti bangla saii,” a ti nauh.
Then the man who was in charge of the palace, and the man who was over the city, and the elders also, and they who raised the children, sent word back to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants. We will do everything that you command us. We will not make any man king. Do what is good in your eyes.”
6 Te dongah amih ham a pabae la ca a daek pah tih, “Kai taengah na om uh tih kai ol te na ngai uh atah na boei ca rhoek kah hlang lu te hang khuen uh. Thangvuen tahae tue ah tah Jezreel ah kai taengla ha pawk uh,” a ti nah. Te vaengah amih manghai ca rhoek hlang sawmrhih tah khopuei kah hlang len rhoek taengah pantai uh.
Then Jehu wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, “If you are on my side, and if you will listen to my voice, you must take the heads of the men of your master's descendants, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time.” Now the king's descendants, seventy in number, were with the important men of the city, who were bringing them up.
7 Ca te amih taengla a pha van neh manghai ca rhoek te a tuuk uh tih hlang sawmrhih a ngawn uh. A lu te vaihang dongah a sang uh tih Jehu taengah Jezreel la a pat uh.
So when the letter came to them, they took the king's sons and killed them, seventy persons, put their heads in baskets, and sent them to Jehu in Jezreel.
8 Puencawn a pawk vaengah tah a taengla a puen pah tih, “Manghai ca rhoek kah lu te hang khuen uh coeng,” a ti nah. Te dongah, “Te rhoek te vongka kah thohka ah mincang hil hlop nit la hmoek uh,” a ti nah.
A messenger came to Jehu, saying, “They have brought the heads of the king's sons.” So he said, “Put them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.”
9 Te dongah mincang a pha neh a paan tih a pai thil. Te phoeiah, “Pilnam cungkuem ham na dueng coeng, kai tah ka boei te ka taeng tih amah ka ngawn coeng he, tedae he rhoek boeih he unim aka ngawn?
In the morning Jehu went out and stood, and said to all the people, “You are innocent. See, I plotted against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?
10 BOEIPA loh Ahab imkhui ham a thui vanbangla BOEIPA ol tah diklai la a rhul pawt te ming uh laeh. BOEIPA loh a sal Elijah kut dongah a thui te a saii coeng,” a ti.
Now you should certainly realize that no part of Yahweh's word, the word that he spoke concerning the family of Ahab, will fall to the ground, for Yahweh has done what he spoke about through his servant Elijah.”
11 Jezreel kah Ahab im ah aka sueng boeih neh a tanglue boeih, anih aka ming neh a khosoih rhoek khaw a taengah rhaengnaeng a hlun pawt hil ah Jehu loh a ngawn.
So Jehu killed all who remained in the family of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his important men, his close friends, and his priests, until none of them remained.
12 Te phoeiah thoo tih Samaria la aka paan Betheked longpuei ah cet.
Then Jehu arose and left; he went to Samaria. As he was arriving at Beth Eked of the shepherd,
13 Jehu te Judah manghai Ahaziah kah pacaboeina neh a hum vaengah tah, “Nangmih he unim,” a ti nah. Te vaengah, “Kaimih he Ahaziah kah pacaboeina rhoek ni, manghai ca rhoek neh manghainu koca rhoek taengah rhoepnah ham ka suntla,” a ti uh.
he met brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah. Jehu said to them, “Who are you?” They answered, “We are brothers of Ahaziah, and we are going down to greet the children of the king and the children of Queen Jezebel.”
14 Tedae, “Amih te a hing la tu uh,” a ti nah dongah amih te a hing la a tuuk uh. Te phoeiah amih te hlang sawmli panit la Betheked tuito ah a ngawn uh tih amih te hlang pakhat klhaw sueng pawh.
Jehu said to his own men, “Take them alive.” So they took them alive and killed them at the well of Beth Eked, all forty-two men. He did not leave any of them alive.
15 Te lamloh a nong van neh anih aka doe Rekhab capa Jehonadab te a hmuh. Te vaengah anih te a uem tih, “Ka thinko he na thinko soah a voelphoeng bangla na thinko te a thuem la om maco,” a ti nah. Jehonadab loh, “Om,” a ti nah. Te phoeiah, “A om atah na kut te n'doe,” a ti nah. Te dongah a kut te a doe tih anih te leng dongah a luei sak.
When Jehu had left there, he met Jehonadab son of Recab coming to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart with me, as my heart is with yours?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said, “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave Jehu his hand, and Jehu took Jehonadab up with him into the chariot.
16 Te phoeiah, “Kai taengah pongpa lamtah BOEIPA ham ka thatlainah he hmu lah,” a ti nah dongah anih te a leng dongah a ngol sak.
Jehu said, “Come with me and see my zeal for Yahweh.” So he had Jonadab ride along with him in his chariot.
17 Samaria a pha van neh Ahab lamkah aka sueng boeih te a ngawn. Elijah taengah a thui BOEIPA ol bangla Ahab te a milh hil Samaria ah a saii.
When he came to Samaria, Jehu killed all who remained from Ahab's descendants in Samaria, until he had destroyed Ahab's royal line, just as was told them before by the word of Yahweh, which he had spoken to Elijah.
18 Jehu loh pilnam pum te a coi tih amih taengah, “Ahab loh Baal taengah bet tho a thueng dae Jehu loh anah la tho a thueng ni.
Then Jehu gathered all the people together and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, but Jehu will serve him much.
19 Te dongah Baal kah tonghma boeih neh a taengah tho aka thueng boeih, a khosoih boeih khaw kai taengla khue uh laeh, hlang hmaai boeh. Baal hamla hmueih len ka khueh dongah a hmaai boeih te tah hing mahpawh,” a ti nah. Tedae Baal kah thothueng rhoek te milh sak ham ni Jehu loh rhaithinah neh a saii.
Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all his worshipers, and all his priests. Let no one be left out, for I have a great sacrifice to offer to Baal. Whoever does not come will not live.” But Jehu did this deceitfully, with the intent to kill the worshipers of Baal.
20 Jehu loh, “Baal hamla pahong khohnin hoep uh,” a ti nah dongah a hoe pauh.
Jehu said, “Set a time to have an assembly for Baal.” So they announced it.
21 Jehu loh Israel pum te a tah dongah Baal kah thothueng rhoek tah boeih pawk uh. Aka pawk pawt hlang te a hmaai uh pawt dongah Baal im la kun uh tih Baal im ah khatben lamloh khatben hil bae uh.
Then Jehu sent throughout all Israel and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left who did not come. They came into the temple of Baal, and it was filled from one end to another.
22 Hnikhoem te khaw, “Baal kah thothueng rhoek boeih ham pueinak hang khuen pah,” a ti nah dongah amih ham te hnicu a khuen pah.
Jehu said to the man who kept the priest's wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal.” So the man brought out robes to them.
23 Te phoeiah Jehu neh Rekhab capa Jehonadab te Baal im la cet. Te vaengah Baal thothueng rhoek te, “Thuep uh lamtah so uh dae, nangmih taengah he Yahweh kah sal rhoek om ve “a ti nah. Tedae amamih bueng te Baal kah thothueng la dawk a thuiuh.
So Jehu went with Jehonadab son of Recab into the house of Baal, and he said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search and make sure that there is no one here with you from the servants of Yahweh, but the worshipers of Baal alone.”
24 Hmueih neh hmueihhlutnah saii ham a khun phoeiah tah Jehu loh amah kah hlang sawmrhet te tol ah a khueh tih, “Nangmih kut ah kan tloeng hlang rhoek he pakhat khaw aka hlong tah a hinglu ham a hinglu ne,” a ti nah.
Then they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had chosen eighty men who were standing outside, and he told them, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escapes, whoever lets that man escape, his life will be taken for the life of the one who escaped.”
25 Hmueihhlutnah a saii te a khah van neh Jehu loh imtawt rhoek neh boeilu rhalboei taengah, “Kun uh lamtah amih te ngawn uh, hlang pakhat khaw loeih boel saeh,” a ti nah. Amih te cunghang ha neh a ngawn uh tih a voeih uh phoeiah tah imtawt rhoek neh rhalboei rhoek khaw Baal im khopuei la kun uh.
So then as soon as Jehu finished offering the burnt offering, he said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them. Let no one come out.” So they killed them with the edge of the sword, and the guard and the captains threw them out and went into the inner room of the house of Baal.
26 Baal im kah kaam te a khuen uh tih a hoeh uh.
They dragged out the stone pillars that were in the house of Baal, and they burned them.
27 Baal kah kaam te a palet uh tih Baal im khaw a palet uh. Te dongah tihnin hil te te nat kah nat la a khueh uh.
Then they broke down the pillar of Baal, and destroyed the house of Baal and made it a latrine, which it is to this day.
28 Jehu loh Baal te Israel khui lamkah a milh sak.
That is how Jehu destroyed Baal worship from Israel.
29 Te cakhaw Israel aka tholh sak Nebat capa Jeroboam kah tholhnah bangla Bethel neh Dan kah sui vaitoca hnuk lamloh Jehu a nong moenih.
But Jehu did not leave the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, by which he made Israel sin—that is, the worship of the golden calves in Bethel and Dan.
So Yahweh said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing what was right in my eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”
31 Tedae Jehu loh Israel Pathen BOEIPA kah olkhueng dongah a thinko boeih neh pongpa hamla a ngaithuen moenih. Israel aka tholh sak Jeroboam kah tholhnah dong lamloh a nong moenih.
But Jehu took no care to walk in the law of Yahweh, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, by which he made Israel sin.
32 Te khohnin ah Israel te kuet hamla BOEIPA a tawn uh coeng dongah ni Israel khorhi te Hazael loh a pum la a ngawn pah.
In those days Yahweh began to cut off regions from Israel, and Hazael defeated the Israelites at the borders of Israel,

34 Jehu kah ol noi neh a cungkuem a saii te khaw, a thadueng boeih te Israel manghai rhoek kah khokhuen olka cabu dongah a daek moenih a?
As for the other matters concerning Jehu, and all that he did, and all his power, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
35 Jehu te a napa rhoek taengla a khoem uh vaengah tah anih te Samaria ah a up uh. Te phoeiah a capa Jehoahaz te anih yueng la manghai.
Jehu slept with his ancestors, and they buried him in Samaria. Then Jehoahaz his son became king in his place.
36 Te vaeng tue ah Jehu loh Israel te Samaria ah kum kul kum rhet a manghai thil.
The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
