1 Kaimih oep hamla koep ka tong uh a? Nangmih taengkah neh nangmih lamkah capat te oepsa bet banglam khaw ka kuek uh pawt maco?
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some [others], epistles of commendation to you, or [letters] of commendation from you.
2 Kaimih kah capat tah nangmih ni. Kaimih kah thinko ah a tarhit coeng. Te dongah hlang boeih loh a ming tih a tae coeng.
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men:
3 Kaimih kah tho ka thueng thil, Khrih kah capat la na om uh te phoe coeng. Cahang nen pawt tih aka hing Pathen Mueihla nena tarhit coeng. Lungto lungphaih dongah pawt tih pumsa thinko lungphaih dongah ni a tarhit coeng.
[Forasmuch as ye are] manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on fleshly tables of the heart.
4 Te dongah tebang pangtungnah te Khrih lamloh Pathen taengah ng'khueh uh coeng.
And such trust we have through Christ toward God.
5 Mamih lamkah vanbangla pakhat khaw poek hamla mamih lamloh a cung a boeng la ng'om uh moenih. Tedae mamih kah tatthainah tah Pathen taeng lamkah ni.
Not that we are sufficient by ourselves to think any thing as from ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] from God;
6 Anih loh paipi thai kaha tueihyoeih la mamih n'saii. Tedae cabu nen pawt tih mueihla nen ni n'saii. Cabu loh a ngawn dae mueihla loh a hing sak.
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 Lungto dongah catham la a tarhit dueknah kah bibi long pataeng thangpomnah neh om. Te dongah a maelhmai kah thangpomnah a hma dongah Moses kah maelhmai te Israel ca rhoek loh hmaitang thai pawh.
But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away;
8 Mueihla kah bibi tah thangpomnah neh muep om ngai mahpawt nim.
How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious?
9 Laipupnah kah bibi te thangpomnah neh a om atah duengnah kah bibi tah thangpomnah muep coih ngai ta.
For if the ministration of condemnation [was] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 Tahae kah thangpomnah a baetawt kongah cungvang tah a thangpom tangtae long khaw thangpom voel pawh.
For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 Aka paci long pataeng thangpomnah neh a om atah aka kuei long tah thangpomnah dongah muep om ngai ni ta.
For if that which was done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is] glorious.
12 Te ngaiuepnah a om dongah ni sayalh la phet phet n'rhoidoeng uh.
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 Te dongah a maelhmai lumuekhni aka khueh thil Moses bangla a om moenih. Te daengah ni Israel ca rhoek loh a hmaitang vetih tiha tloihsoi la a paci uh pawt eh.
And not as Moses, [who] put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 Tedae amih kah poeknah loh ning uh. Amah tihnin khohnin duela paipi rhuem kah taenah dongah lumuekhni neh om pueng tih aa lim pawt te Khrih ah a khoe coeng.
But their minds were blinded: for until this day the same vail remaineth untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ.
15 Tedae tihnin duela Moses cabua tae uh vaengah tah lumuekhni loh amih thinko te a yalh thil pueng.
But even to this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Tedae Boeipa taengah a mael vaengah tah lumuekhni te a khoe pah.
Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Boeipa tah mueihla la om coeng. Te dongah Boeipa mueihla a om nah ah poenghalnah om.
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.
18 Mamih boeih loh Boeipa kah thangpomnah maelhmai neh n'lim uh tih amah mueimae te kap coeng. Te dongah Boeipa mueihla lamkah van bangla thangpomnah lamkah thangpomnah la n'thohai uh coeng.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
