1 Solomon loh a thangthui te a khah vaengah vaan lamkah hmai suntla tih hmueihhlutnah neh hmueih te a hlawp. Te vaengah BOEIPA kah thangpomnah tah im ah bae.
And when Solomon had made an end of praying, a fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt-offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
2 BOEIPA im te BOEIPA kah thangpomnah bae tih BOEIPA im la khosoih rhoek a kun ham coeng uh pawh.
And the priests were not able to enter into the house of the Lord; because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house.
3 Im soah BOEIPA kah thangpomnah neh hmai a suntlak te Israel ca boeih loh a hmuh uh vaengah lungphaih soah diklai la a maelhmai neh cungkueng uh tih a bawk uh. A sitlohnah loh kumhal hil ham a then dongah BOEIPA te a uem uh.
And all the children of Israel were looking on as the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord [was resting] upon the house; and they kneeled down with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and prostrated themselves, and gave thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
4 Te vaengah manghai neh pilnam boeih loh BOEIPA mikhmuh ah hmueih a nawn uh.
And the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord.
5 Solomon manghai loh hmueih la saelhung thawng kul thawng hnih, boiva thawng yakhat neh thawng kul a nawn. Te tlam te manghai neh pilnam boeih loh Pathen im a uum uh.
And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep: and so they dedicated the house of God, the king and all the people.
6 Khosoih rhoek te amamih kah hutnah dongah pai uh tih Levi rhoek khaw BOEIPA kah lumlaa hnopai neh omuh. A sitlohnah te kumhal hil ham dongah BOEIPA te uem hamla manghai David loh te te a saii. David amih loh kut neh a thangthen. Te dongah khosoih rhoek loh amih hmai ah a ueng la ueng atah Israel pum khaw boeih pai uh.
And the priests were standing on their stations, and the Levites with the instruments of the music of the Lord, which king David had made to give thanks unto the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness, with the song of praise of David in their hand; and the priests blew the trumpets opposite to them, and all Israel were standing.
7 Solomon loh BOEIPA im hmai kah vongup laklung te a ciim tih hmueihhlutnah neh rhoepnah maehtha te pahoi a saii. Solomon loh a saii rhohum hmueihtuk tah hmueihhlutnah khaw, khocang khaw, maehtha khaw a ael ham a noeng moenih.
And Solomon hallowed the interior of the court that was before the house of the Lord; for he prepared there the burnt-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings; because the copper altar which Solomon had made was not able to contain the burnt-offerings, and the meat-offerings, and the fat.
8 Te vaeng tue ah Solomon neh a taengkah Israel pum loh hnin rhih khuiah khotue a saii. Hlangping Lebokhamath lamloh Egypt soklong hil muep khawk.
And Solomon held the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Chamath unto the river of Egypt.
9 Tedae hnin rhih te hmueihtuk nawnnah la, hnin rhih te khotue la a saii uh dongah a rhet hnin ah pahong a saii uh.
And they held on the eighth day a solemn assembly; for the dedication of the altar they held seven days, and the feast seven days.
10 A hla rhih dongkah hnin kul hnin thum vaengah tah pilnam te amamih kah dap la a tueih. BOEIPA loh David ham neh Solomon ham khaw, a pilnam Israel ham khaw hnothen a saii dongah lungbuei kah hnothen neh a kohoe uh.
And on the three-and-twentieth day of the seventh month he dismissed the people unto their tents, joyful and glad of heart because of the good that the Lord had done for David, and for Solomon, and for Israel his people.
11 Solomon loh BOEIPA im neh manghai im te a khah coeng. A cungkuem te Solomon kah lungbuei ah a cuen pah bangla a saii ham te BOEIPA im nen khaw, amah im nen khaw thaihtak coeng.
Thus did Solomon complete the house of the Lord, and the king's house; and [in] all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prospered.
12 Te phoeiah BOEIPA te Solomon taengla khoyin ah a phoe pah tih amah taengah, “Na thangthuinah te ka yaak coeng tih he hmuen he kamah ham hmueih im la ka coelh coeng.
Then appeared the Lord to Solomon during the night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and I have made choice of this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.
13 Vaan ka khaih tih khotlan a om pawt mai akhaw, khohmuen caak ham tangku te ka uen mai akhaw, ka pilnam taengah duektahaw ka tueih mai akhaw.
If I shut up the heavens that there be no rain, or if I give a charge to the locusts to devour off the land, or if I send a pestilence among my people:
14 A soah ka ming a phuk thil ka pilnam he kunyun tih a thangthui atah, ka maelhmai he a tlap uh tih amamih kah boethae longpuei lamloh a mael uh atah, kamah loh vaan lamkah ka hnatun vetih amih kah tholhnah te khodawk ka ngai ni. A khohmuen khaw ka hoeih sak bal ni.
And if my people, over whom my name is called, do then humble themselves, and pray, and seek my presence, and turn away from their evil ways: then will I also hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 He hmuen kah thangthuinah dongah ka mik dai om pawn vetih ka hna khaw khui ni.
Now, my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive unto the prayer on this place.
16 Kumhal duela ka ming pahoi om sak ham he im he ka coelh tih ka ciim coeng dongah ka mik neh ka lungbuei loh hnin takuem pahoi om pawn ni.
And now I have chosen and hallowed this house, that my name may be there for ever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there at all times.
17 Nang khaw na pa David a pongpa bangla ka mikhmuh ah na pongpa atah nang kang uen boeih te saii hamla ka oltlueh neh ka laitloeknah he ngaithuen.
And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father hath walked, so as to do in accordance with all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my ordinances:
18 Na pa David taengah ka saii tih, “Israel soah aka taemrhai ham hlang nang lamloh pat mahpawh,” ka ti vanbangla na ram kah ngolkhoel te ka thoh ni.
Then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, just as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall never fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
19 Tedae na mael uh tih ka khosing neh ka olpaek, na mikhmuh ah kan tawn te na hnoo, na cet tih pathen tloe te tho na thueng, amih te ba bawk atah.
But if ye will indeed turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and will go and serve other gods, and bow down to them:
20 Te vaengah amih taengah ka paek ka khohmuen dong lamloh amih te ka poelh ni. Ka ming hamla ka ciim im he khaw ka mikhmuh dong lamloh ka voeih vetih pilnam cungkuem taengah thuidoeknah neh thuinuetnah la ka khueh ni.
Then will I pluck them up out of my land which I have given unto them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast away from my sight, and I will render it to be for a proverb and for a by-word among all the people.
21 Im he a sangkoek la om cakhaw aka pah boeih te a taengah hal vetih, “Balae tih BOEIPA loh he khohmuen taeng neh he im ham he, he bang a saii,” a ti ni.
And this house, which hath been so exalted, shall become an astonishment to every one that passeth by it: so that he will say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
22 Te vaengah, “A napa rhoek kah Pathen BOEIPA te a hnawt uh. Amah loh amih te Egypt kho lamkah a khuen dae pathen tloe taengah kap uh. Te rhoek taengah bakop uh tih tho a thueng uh. Te dongah ni yoethae cungkuem he amih soah a khuen pah,” a ti uh ni,” a ti nah.
And men shall then say, For the cause that they forsook the Lord the God of their fathers, who had brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and they took hold of other gods, and bowed down to them, and served them: therefore hath he brought upon them all this evil.
