1 Khohmuen pilnam loh Josiah capa Jehoahaz te a loh uh tih anih te a napa yueng la Jerusalem ah a manghai sakuh.
And the people of the land took Jehoahaz, son of Josiah, —and made him king instead of his father, in Jerusalem.
2 Jehoahaz a manghai vaengah kum kul kum thum lo ca pueng tih Jerusalem ah hla thum manghai.
Twenty-three years old, was Joahaz when he began to reign, —and, three months, reigned he in Jerusalem.
3 Tedae anih te Egypt manghai loh Jerusalem ah a khoe tih khohmuen te cak talent yakhat, sui talent khat neh a sah sak.
And the king of Egypt deposed him in Jerusalem, —and condemned the land, in a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.
4 Egypt manghai loh Jehoahaz mana Eliakim te Judah neh Jerusalem ah a manghai sak tih a ming te Jehoiakim la a tho pah. Tedae a maya Jehoahaz te tah Neko loh a loh tih Egypt la a khuen.
And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim, —but Neco took, Joahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.
5 Jehoiakim te a manghai vaengah kum kul neh kum nga lo ca pueng tih Jerusalem ah kum hlai khat manghai. Tedae a Pathen BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae ni a saii.
Twenty-five years old, was Jehoiakim when he began to reign, and, eleven years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh his God.
6 Anih te Babylon manghai Nebukhanezar loh a muk tih anih te Babylon la khuen ham rhohum neh a khih.
Against him, came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, —and bound him in fetters of bronze, to carry him to Babylon.
7 BOEIPA im kah hnopai te khaw Nebukhanezar loh Babylon la a khuen. Te te Babylon kah amah bawkim ah a khueh.
And, some of the utensils of the house of Yahweh, did Nebuchadnezzar carry to Babylon, —and put them in his own temple in Babylon.
8 Jehoiakim kah ol kah noi neh amah kah tueilaehkoi a saii te khaw, anih taengah aka thoeng te khaw, te rhoek te Israel neh Judah manghai rhoek kah cabu dongah a daek coeng ke. Te phoeiah a capa Jehoiakhin te anih yueng la manghai.
But, the rest of the story of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he made, and that which was found upon him, there they are, written in the book of the Kings of Israel and Judah, —and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
9 Jehoiakhin a manghai vaengah kum rhet lo ca pueng tih Jerusalem ah hla thum neh hnin rha manghai. Tedae BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae ni a saii.
Eight years old, was Jehoiachin when he began to reign, and, three months and ten days, reigned he in Jerusalem, and he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh;
10 Kum a thok vaengah tah manghai Nebukhanezar loh hlang a tueih tih anih te BOEIPA im kah sahnaih hnopai neh Babylon la a khuen. Te phoeiah a manuca Zedekiah te Judah neh Jerusalem ah a manghai sak.
and, when the year came round, King Nebuchadnezzar sent, and carried him to Babylon, with the precious utensils of the house of Yahweh, —and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
11 Zedekiah a manghai vaengah kum kul neh kum khat loh ca pueng tih Jerusalem ah kum hlai khat manghai.
Twenty-one years old, was Zedekiah when he began to reign, —and, eleven years, reigned he in Jerusalem.
12 Tedae a Pathen BOEIPA mikhmuh ah boethae ni a saii. BOEIPA olka dongkah tonghma Jeremiah mikhmuh ah khaw a kunyun moenih.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh his God, -he humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet, from the mouth of Yahweh.
13 Manghai Nebukhanezar te khaw a tloelh tih anih te Pathen neh a toemngam thil. A rhawn te a siing tih Israel Pathen BOEIPA taengla mael ham khaw a thin te thah.
Moreover also—against King Nebuchadnezzar, he rebelled, who had made him swear by God, -and he stiffened his neck, and emboldened his heart, from turning unto Yahweh, God of Israel.
14 Khosoih rhoek neh pilnam mangpa boeih khaw boekoek la ping uh. Namtom rhoek kah tueilaehkoi bang boeih la boekoeknah neh boe a koek uh tih Jerusalem ah a ciim BOEIPA im te a poeih uh.
Also, all the rulers of the priests and of the people, abounded in committing treachery, according to all the abominable ways of the nations, —and polluted the house of Yahweh, which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15 A pilnam so neh a khuirhung soah khaw lungma a ti dongah thoh ham neh tueih hamla a napa rhoek kah Pathen BOEIPA loh amih taengla a puencawn rhoek kut neh a tueih.
And, though Yahweh God of their fathers sent unto them through his messengers, zealously sending them, —because he had compassion upon his people and upon his habitation,
16 Tedae Pathen kah puencawn rhoek taengah pahoeh palaeh la om uh. Te dongah a ol te a sawtsit uh tih a tonghma rhoek te a phok uh. A pilnam taengah hoeihnah a om pawt hil BOEIPA kah kosi a paan uh aih.
yet became they mockers of the messengers of God, and despisers of his words, and mimics of his prophets, —until the mounting up of the wrath of Yahweh against his people, until there was no healing.
17 Te dongah amih taengla Khalden kah Khalden manghai te a thak pah tih a tongpang rhoek te amamih kah rhokso im ah cunghang neh a ngawn pah. Tongpang neh oila khaw, patong neh hamca khaw lungma ti kolla anih kut ah boeih a paek.
So he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who slew their young men with the sword, in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or virgin, elder or ancient, -all, delivered he into his hand.
18 Pathen im kah hnopai boeih a yit a len khaw, BOEIPA im kah thakvoh khaw, manghai neh a mangpa rhoek kah thakvoh khaw, Babylon la boeih pawk.
And, all the utensils of the house of God, both great and small, and the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king and of his rulers, the whole, carried he to Babylon;
19 Pathen im te a hoeh uh tih Jerusalem vongtung te a palet uh. A impuei boeih te hmai neh a hoeh uh tih a ngailaemnah hnopai boeih te khaw a phae uh.
and they burned the house of God, and threw down the wall of Jerusalem, —and, all the palaces thereof, burned they with fire, and, all the precious vessels thereof, he destroyed;
20 cunghang lamkah aka a meet rhoek te Babylon la a poelyoe tih amah taeng neh a ca rhoek taengah Persia ram a manghai hil sal la om uh.
and he exiled the remnant left from the sword, into Babylon, —where they became his and his sons, as servants, until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 Jeremiah ka dongkah BOEIPA ol te cup ham dongah khohmuen loh a Sabbath a ngaingaih hil a pong khohnin te kum sawmrhih boeih a cup duela kangkuen.
to fulfil the word of God, by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had paid off her sabbaths, —all the days of her lying desolate, she kept sabbath, to fulfil seventy years.
22 Persia manghai Cyrus kah kum khat vaengah tah Jeremiah ka dongkah BOEIPA ol te a cup sak ham BOEIPA loh Persia manghai Cyrus kah mueihla te a haeng pah. Te dongah a ram pum ah ol a thak tih cadaek nen khaw,
But, in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to accomplish the word of God by the mouth of Jeremiah, Yahweh aroused the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made proclamation throughout all his kingdom, moreover also in writing, saying:
23 “Persia manghai Cyrus loh he ni a thui. Diklai ram tom he vaan kah Pathen BOEIPA loh kai taengah m'paek coeng. Amah loh kai he Judah kah Jerusalem ah a im sa la m'hmoel coeng. Nangmih khuikah long te khaw a pilnam cungkuem taeng lamloh a taengkah a Pathen BOEIPA neh pongpa saeh,” a ti nah.
Thus, saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth, hath Yahweh God of the heavens, given unto me, and, he himself, hath laid charge upon me, to build to him a house, in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people with whom is Yahweh his God? Then let him go up.
