< 2 Khokhuen 15 >
1 Oded capa Azariah te a soah Pathen mueihla a om pah.
Now, as for Azariah son of Oded, there came upon him, the spirit of God.
So he went forth to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear me, O Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin, —Yahweh, is with you, so long as ye are with him, and, if ye seek him, he will be found of you, but, if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
3 Kum te yet te Israel khuiah oltak Pathen tal coeng tih aka thuinuet kung khosoih khaw tal coeng, olkhueng khaw tal coeng.
Now, many days, had Israel been, —without the faithful God, and without a teaching priest, and without the law;
4 Tedae a rhal khuiah Israel Pathen BOEIPA taengla mael tih amah te a tlap uh dongah amih taengah a phoe pah.
But they turned, in their distress, unto Yahweh God of Israel, —and sought him, and he was found of them.
5 Te vaeng tue ah tah aka kunael neh aka vuenva ham khaw ngaimongnah a om moenih. Khohmuen kah khosa boeih taengah soekloeknah ping coeng.
And, in those times, there had been no prosperity, to him that went out nor to him that came in, —for, great consternations, were upon all the inhabitants of the lands;
6 Pathen loh amih te citcai cungkuem neh a khawkkhek coeng dongah, namtom neh namtom, khopuei neh khopuei khaw phop uh thae.
and they were beaten in pieces-nation against nation, and city against city, —for, God, discomfited them with all manner of distress.
7 Tedae nangmih tah thaahuel uh lamtah na kut kha sak boeh. Na thaphu hamla thapang om coeng,” a ti nah.
Ye, therefore, be strong, and let not your hands be slack, —for there is a reward for your work!
8 Te ol neh tonghma Oded kah tonghma ol te Asa loh a yaak vaengah thaa a huel. Sarhingkoi te Judah neh Benjamin khohmuen pum lamloh, Ephraim tlang kah a loh khopuei rhoek lamloh a khoe. BOEIPA ngalha hmai kah BOEIPA hmueihtuk te khaw a tlaih.
And, when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he strengthened himself, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had captured out of the hill country of Ephraim, —and renewed the altar of Yahweh, that was before the porch of Yahweh.
9 Te phoeiah Judah pum neh Benjamin khaw, amih taengah aka bakuep Ephraim neh Manasseh lamkah khaw Simeon lamkah khaw a coi. Anih kah Pathen BOEIPA tah anih taengah om tila a hmuh uh vaengah tah Israel lamloh anih taengah a pum la cungku uh.
And he gathered together all Judah and Benjamin, and the sojourners with them, out of Ephraim and out of Manasseh, and out of Simeon, —for they fell unto him out of Israel, in great numbers, because they saw that, Yahweh his God, was with him.
10 Te dongah Asa ram kah kum hlai nga a hla thum vaengah tah Jerusalem la tingtun uh.
So they gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem, in the third month of the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
11 Te khohnin ah tah BOEIPA te a nawn uh tih kutbuem khui lamkah saelhung ya rhih neh boiva thawng rhih a khuen uh.
And they sacrificed unto Yahweh, on that day, out of the spoil they had brought in, —oxen, seven hundred, and sheep, seven thousand.
12 A napa Pathen BOEIPA te a thinko boeih neh, a hinglu boeih neh toem hamla paipi khuila kun uh.
And they entered into a covenant, to seek Yahweh, God of their fathers, —with all their heart, and with all their soul;
13 Israel Pathen BOEIPA te aka toem pawt boeih tah, tanoe kangham khaw, tongpa huta khaw a duek sak.
and, whosoever would not seek unto Yahweh God of Israel, should be put to death, —whether small or great, whether man or woman.
14 BOEIPA taengah ol a len neh, tamlung neh, olueng neh, tuki neh a toemngam uh.
So they bound themselves by oath unto Yahweh, with a loud voice, and with shouting, —and with trumpets and with horns.
15 A thinko boeih neh a toemngam uh dongah olhlo soah Judah pum loh omngaih uh. Amamih kah kolonah boeih neh amah te a tlap uh dongah amih taengah a phoe pah. Te dongah BOEIPA loh amih te a kaepvai ah a duem sak.
And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for, with all their heart, had they sworn, and, with all their good will, had they sought him, and he was found of them, —and Yahweh gave them rest round about.
16 Manghai Asa loh manu aMaakah pataeng khaw Asherah rhobuk a saii dongah manghainu lamloh a khoe. Anih kah rhobuk te Asa loh a tloek pah tih a tip phoeiah tah Kidron soklong ah a hoeh.
Moreover also, as touching Maacah mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made, unto the Sacred Stem, a monstrous thing, —so Asa cut down her monstrous thing, and reduced it to dust, and burnt it up, in the Kidron ravine.
17 Hmuensang te Israel lamloh khoe uh pawt mai cakhaw amah tue khuiah tah Asa kah thinko he rhuemtuet la om.
But, the high places, were not taken away out of Israel, —only, the heart of Asa, was perfect, all his days.
18 A napa kah hnocim neh amah kah hnocim khaw, cak khaw, sui khaw, hnopai khaw BOEIPA im la a khuen.
And he brought the hallowed things of his father and his own hallowed things, into the house of God, —silver and gold, and utensils.
19 Asa kah ram te kum sawmthum kum nga duela caemtloeknah a om moenih.
And, war, was there none, —until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.
