1 Thessalonika 5
1 Tedae Manuca rhoek a tue neh khoning kawng te nangmih ham daek ham ngoe pawh.
But, brethren, you have no need that I write to you of the times and seasons;
2 Boeipa kah khohnin tah hlanghuen bangla khoyin ah ha pawk van ni tila namamih loh khaeh khaeh na ming uh.
for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night:
3 “Ngaimongnah neh hiluepnah “a thui uh. Te vaengah amih te pumrhih la aka om sokah bungtloh bangla rhawpnah loh buengrhuet a pai thil vetih poenghal uh thai loengloeng mahpawh.
for when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as the pains of birth upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
4 Tedae manuca rhoek nangmih te yinnah khuiah om uh boeh. Khohnin loh nangmih te hlanghuen bangla n'khuk ve.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Nangmih tah vangnah kah a ca rhoek neh khothaih kah ca rhoek la boeih na om uh tih khoyin neh yinnah kah la n'om uh moenih.
You are all sons of light, and sons of day: we are not of night, nor of darkness.
6 Te dongah a tloe rhoek bangla ip uh boel sih lamtah hak doeah cue uh sih.
Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober.
7 Aka ip rhoek loh khoyin ah ip uh tih aka rhui rhoek loh khoyin ah rhui uh.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunken, are drunken in the night.
8 Tedae mamih khothaih kah aka om rhoek tah cue uh sih. Tangnah neh lungnah rhangpho, khangnah dongkah ngaiuepnah lumuek te buen uh sih.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation:
9 Pathen loh kosi ham mamih n'khueh moenih. Tedae mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih rhangneh khangnah te dangnah ham ni.
for God has not appointed us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Mamih n'hak uh akhaw, ih uh akhaw, amah neh thikat la hing ham mamih yuengla anih te duek coeng.
who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we might live together with him.
11 Te dongah na saii uh bangla khat neh khat hloep uh thae lamtah khat neh khat te hlinsai uh dae.
Wherefore, exhort one another, and edify one another, as you also do.
12 Te phoeiah manuca rhoek nangmih ah aka thakthae rhoek te, Boeipa ah nangmih aka mawt tih nangmih aka rhalrhing sak neh,
Now we beseech you, brethren, to have regard for those who labor among you, and preside over you in the Lord, and admonish you,
13 amamih kah bibi te lungnah neh a puehdaih la a bi dongah amih te poek uh lamtah ming uh tila nangmih taengah kan bih uh. Namamih khuiah rhoep uh thae.
and that you esteem them very highly in love on account of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Te phoeiah manuca rhoek nangmih te kan hloep uh. Palyal rhoek te rhalrhing sakuh. Kothae ngaithae rhoek te suem uh. Tattloel rhoek te talong uh. A cungkuem taengah na thinsen uh.
We exhort you, brethren, admonish the unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, earnestly care for the weak-minded, be of a long-suffering disposition toward all.
15 Pakhat loh pakhat te a thae ham a thae te thuung pawt ham ngaithuen uh. Tedae khat neh khat ham khaw, hlang boeih ham khaw a then te hnuktlak yoeyah uh.
See that no one render evil for evil to any, but always pursue that which is good toward one another and toward all.
16 Omngaih taitu uh.
Rejoice always;
17 Phat thangthui uh.
pray without ceasing;
18 A cungkuem dongah uem uh. He tah Jesuh Khrih ah nangmih ham Pathen kah kongaih coeng ni.
in every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Mueihla te thih boeh.
Quench not the Spirit.
20 Tonghma ol te hnaelcoe boeh.
Despise not prophesyings.
21 Tedae a cungkuem te nuemnai lamtah a then te pom.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Sawt thae boeih te rhael uh.
Abstain from every appearance of evil.
23 Tahae ah ngaimongnah Pathen amah loh nangmih te rhuemtuet la n'ciim sak saeh. Mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah ha lonah dongah nangmih kah mueihla neh, hinglu neh, pum tah hingsoep neh cuemthuek la n'khoembael saeh.
Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Nangmih aka khue tah a uepom tih amah loh a saii bal bitni.
Faithful is he that calls you; and he will do what he has promised.
25 Manuca rhoek kaimih ham khaw thangthui uh.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Manuca rhoek boeih te aka cim moknah neh toidal uh.
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Manuca rhoek boeih te capat he tae sak ham Boeipa rhangneh nangmih taengah ol ka hlo.
I adjure you by the Lord, that this letter be read to all the holy brethren.
28 Mamih Boeipa Jesuh Khrih kah lungvatnah te nangmih taengah om saeh.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
