< 1 Thessalonika 3 >
1 Ka ueh uh thai pawt dongah Athens bueng ah hnoo ham ka lungtlun uh coeng.
Because of this, willing to wait no longer, it was pleasing to us to remain at Athens, alone.
2 Timothy, mamih kah manuca neh Khrih kah olthangthen ah Pathen kah bibipuei te nangmih aka duel ham neh nangmih te tangnah dongah hloephloei ham kan tueih uh.
And we sent Timothy, our brother and a minister of God in the Gospel of Christ, to confirm you and to exhort you, on behalf of your faith,
3 He phacip phabaem dongah ngingai ham moenih. He ham na om uh te amah la na ming uh.
so that no one would be disturbed during these tribulations. For you yourselves know that we have been appointed to this.
4 Nangmih taengah ka om uh vaengah pataeng lawn ham ka cai uh te nangmih taengah ka thui coeng. Te dongah a thoeng vanbangla na ming uh.
For even while we were with you, we predicted to you that we would suffer tribulations, even as it has happened, and as you know.
5 He he ka ueh tloel dongah nangmih kah tangnah he ming ham ni kan tueih. Aka cuekcawn loh nangmih n'cuekcawn koinih kaimih kah thatlohnah tah a tlongtlai la om mai mahpawt nim.
For this reason also, I was not willing to wait any longer, and I sent to find out about your faith, lest perhaps he who tempts may have tempted you, and our labor might have been in vain.
6 Tedae nangmih lamloh kaimih taengla Timothy ha pawk tih nangmih kah tangnah neh lungnah khaw, kaimih poekkoepnah, a then la na khueh uh taitu te khaw, kaimih bangla nangmih khaw kaimih hmuh ham na rhingda uh te khaw kaimih ham olthangthen a phong.
But then, when Timothy arrived to us from you, he reported to us your faith and charity, and that you keep a good remembrance of us always, desiring to see us, just as we likewise desire to see you.
7 Te dongah manuca rhoek, kaimih kah kueknah neh phacip phabaem cungkuem ah nangmih kah tangnah rhangneh nangmih ham khaw ka mong uh.
As a result, we were consoled in you, brothers, in the midst of all our difficulties and tribulations, through your faith.
8 Te dongah nangmih te Boeipa ah na cak uh atah n'hing uh coeng.
For we now live so that you may stand firm in the Lord.
9 Nangmih kongah mamih Pathen kah hmaiah ka omngaih uh. Te omngaihnah cungkuem kongah nangmih yueng la Pathen te mebang uemonah nen nim n'sah thai ve.
For what thanks would we be able to repay to God because of you, for all the joy with which we rejoice over you before our God?
10 Nangmih maelhmai hmuh ham neh nangmih kah tangnah dongah vawtthoeknah te moeh ham khoyin khothaih a puehdaih la ka bih uh.
For night and day, ever more abundantly, we are praying that we may see your face, and that we may complete those things that are lacking in your faith.
11 A pa Pathen mah neh mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh loh nangmih taengla kaimih kah longpuei hoihaeng pawn saeh.
But may God our Father himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.
12 Te dongah Boeipa loh nangmih m'pungtai sak saeh lamtah lungnah te khat neh khat soah khaw, hlang boeih soah khaw, kaimih bangla nangmih soah khaw baecoih saeh.
And may the Lord multiply you, and make you abound in your charity toward one another and toward all, just as we also do toward you,
13 Mamih kah Pathen neh Pa hmaikah cimcaihnah dongah, mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh neh a hlangcim rhoek boeih kah a lonah dongah nangmih kah thinko te cuemthuek la duel uh. Amen.
in order to confirm your hearts without blame, in sanctity, before God our Father, unto the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints. Amen.
