< 1 Peter 5 >

1 Te dongah nangmih khuikah patong rhoek te kamah patongpuei neh Khrih kah patangnah aka mingpuei rhoek, aka pumphoe ham thangpomnah pueipo la om ham kan hloep.
Elders, therefore, among you, I exhort—[I] who am their co-elder and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also, in the glory about to be revealed, have, a share; —
2 Pathen kah tuping nangmih taengkah te dawndah uh. A mangkhak la pawt tih Pathen kongaih bangla, thuhrhawk nen pawt tih kothoh neh hiphoel uh.
Shepherd the beloved flock of God, which is among you, —not by compulsion, but by choice, nor yet for base gain, but of a ready mind, —
3 Na hmulung dongkah rhoek te vueinan boeh. Tedae tuping kah mueimae la om uh.
Nor yet as lording it over the allotted portions, but becoming, ensamples, to the beloved flock;
4 Te daengah ni, tudawn a ham a phoe veangah aka kuei thangpomnah rhuisam na dang uh eh.
And, when the Chief Shepherd is manifested, ye shall bear away, the unfading crown of glory.
5 Te vanbangla tanoe rhoek a ham rhoek taengah boengai uh. Pathen loh buhueng aka pom te a pakai dae tlayae taengah lungvatnah a paek dongah khat neh khat taengah tlayaenah neh boeih thingcam uh.
In like manner, ye younger men—submit yourselves unto elders; —All, however, one towards another, gird on humility; because, God, against the haughty, arrayeth himself, whereas, unto the lowly, he giveth favour.
6 Pathen kah kut al hmuiah na tlarhoel uh tangloeng daengah ni nangmih te a tuetang vaengah n'pomsang eh.
Be made lowly, therefore, under the strong hand of God, that he may lift, you, up in due time, —
7 Amah te nangmih ham a ngaihuet coeng dongah nangmih kah mawntangnah boeih amah dongah hal uh.
All your anxiety, casting upon him, because he careth for you.
8 Cue uh lamtah hak uh. Nangmih kah kocaelh rhaithae tah sathueng bangla kawk tih a dolh ham te aka tlap la pongpa coeng.
Be sober! be watchful! Your slanderous adversary, as a roaring lion, is walking about—seeking to devour:
9 Anih te tangnah neh khak tungkha uh. Diklai ah na manuca loh patangnah a poeng te amah la ming uh.
Whom resist, steadfast in your faith, knowing that, the same sufferings, in your brotherhood that is in the world, are being accomplished.
10 Lungvatnah cungkuem kah Pathen neh Khrih Jesuh kah dungyan a thangpomnah dongla nangmih aka khue amah loh kolkalh kah patang lamloh nangmih te m'moeh vetih, n'duel vetih, n'thaphoh vetih, n'thoh bitni. (aiōnios g166)
Howbeit, the God of all favour—who hath called you unto his age-abiding glory in Christ—when, for a little, ye have suffered, Himself, will adjust, confirm, strengthen: — (aiōnios g166)
11 Thaomnah tah Amah taengah kumhal duela om saeh. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Unto him, be the dominion, unto the ages. Amen! (aiōn g165)
12 Kam poek vanbangla uepom manuca Silvanas lamloh nangmih te a yool la kam pat. Kan hloep tih ka phong he Pathen kah lungvatnah taktak ni. Te dongah te pai uh.
By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I account him, have I briefly written, unto you, exhorting and adding testimony—that, this, is the true favour of God—within which, stand ye fast!
13 Nangmih bangla Babylon ah a coelh neh ka ca Marku loh n'toidal coeng.
She who, in Babylon, is co-elect, and Mark my son, salute you:
14 Khat neh khat te lungnah, moknah neh toidal uh dae. Khrih ah aka om rhoepnah boeih nangmih taengah om saeh.
Salute ye one another with a kiss of love. Peace unto you all who are in Christ.
