1 Na khuikah Cukhalnah te pungpung ka yaak vaengah tebang Cukhalnah te namtom rhoek taengah khaw a om moenih. A napa kah a yuu mai pakhat la aka cut puei aih te tah.
It is reported commonly [that there is] lewdness among you, and such lewdness as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2 Tedae nangmih tah hoemdawk neh na om uh tih na nguek uh lah pawh. Te dongah hebang khoboe aka saii te tah na khui lamloh khoe uh saw.
And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3 Kai tah pumsa ah lakhla ngawn dae mueihla ah tah n'om hmaih ta. He tla aka thoeng van te tah a om bangla mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh ming neh ka kamkaih coeng.
For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already as though I were present, [concerning] him that hath so done this deed,
4 Na tingtun uh vaengah mamih Boeipa Jesuh kah thaomnah neh ka mueihla nangmih taengah om.
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are assembled, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 Te te pumsa a rhawpnah ham Satan taengla voeih ham om. Te daengah ni mueihla loh Boeipa kah Khohnin ah a daem eh.
To deliver such one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Nangmih kah thangpomnah tah then pawh. Tolrhu a yol loh vaidam hlom at te boeih a rhoi sak te na ming uh mahnim?
Your boasting [is] not good. Know ye not, that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7 Vaidamding la na om uh dongah tolrhu rhuem te sil uh laeh. Te daengah ni a hlom thai la na om uh eh. Mamih kah yoom tuca Khrih pataeng a ngawn coeng.
Cleanse out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Te dongah tolrhu rhuem nen moenih, phayoenah neh halangnah tolrhu nen bal moenih, cimcaihnah oltak vaidamding nen mah khotue uh sih.
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.
9 Hlanghalh rhoek neh rhoinaeng pawt ham capat dongah nangmih ham kan daek.
I have written to you in this epistle, not to associate with persons guilty of lewdness:
10 He Diklai kah hlanghalh rhoek khaw, halhka rhoek khaw, kutveet khaw, mueibawk bawk rhoek khaw ben loengloeng boeh. Te dongah Diklai lamloh na coe ham te na a kuek.
Yet not altogether with lewd persons of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters: for then ye must needs go out of the world.
11 Tedae nangmih taengah kan daek he tah manuca la a khue taengtae pakhat long khaw hlanghalh la, halhka la, mueibawk la, olbaikung la, yumi la, kutveet la a om atah rhoinaeng puei boeh. Amih te caak puei boeh.
But now I have written to you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother is a lewd person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner: with such person no not to eat.
12 Imlang la lai a tloek ham te kai hut a? Namamih khuikah te lai na tloek uh mahnim?
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do ye not judge them that are within?
13 Tedae imlang hlang te Pathen loh lai a tloek bit ni. Aka thae te nangmih lamkah rhoe uh.
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
