1 Israel boeih kah a khuui khaw amih loh Israel neh Judah manghai rhoek kah cabu dongah a daek uh. Amamih kah boekoeknah dongah Babylon la a poelyoe uh.
So all Israel were recorded by their genealogies, and, behold, they are written in the book of the Kings of Israel; but [the men of] Judah were carried away into exile to Babylon for their unfaithfulness.
2 Tedae Israel kah Levi khosoih rhoek neh tamtaeng tah lamhma la amah khopuei kah amah khohut dongah kho a sak uh.
And the first inhabitants that [dwelt again] in their possessions in their cities, were the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the temple-servants.
3 Jerusalem ah he Judah koca lamkah khaw, Benjamin koca lamkah khaw, Ephraim neh Manasseh koca lamkah khaw kho a sak uh.
And in Jerusalem dwelt some of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Menasseh.
4 Judah capa Perez koca lamloh Bani, Benjamin capa Imri, Imri capa Omri, Omri capa Ammihud, Ammihud capa Uthai.
'Uthai the son of 'Ammihud, the son of 'Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.
5 Shiloh lamloh a caming Asaiah neh anih koca rhoek.
And of the Shilonites: 'Assayah the first-born, and his sons.
6 Zerah koca lamloh Jeuel neh a manuca ya rhuk sawmko.
And of the sons of Zerach: Je'uel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7 Benjamin koca lamloh Hassenuah capa Hodaviah, Hodaviah capa Meshullam, Meshullam capa Salu.
And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodavyah, the son of Hassenuah,
8 Jeroham capa Yibeiah, Uzzi capa Elah, Mikhri capa Uzzi, Shephatiah capa Meshullam, Reuel capa Sephatiah, Ibnijah capa Reuel.
And Yibneyah the son of Jerocham, and Elah the son of 'Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatyah, the son of Re'uel, the son of Yibniyah;
9 Amih boeinaphung he a rhuirhong lamtah ya ko sawmnga parhuk lo. He kah hlang boeih tah a napa rhoek kah imkhui ah khaw a napa rhoek kah a lu rhoek ni.
And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chiefs of the divisions of their family divisions.
10 Khosoih rhoek lamloh Jedaiah, Jehoiarib neh Jakhin.
And of the priests: Jeda'yah, and Jehoyarib, and Jachin.
11 Pathen im kah rhaengsang la Ahitub capa Meraioth, Meraioth capa Zadok, Zadok capa Meshullam, Mesullam capa Hilkiah, Hilkiah capa Azariah.
And 'Azaryah the son of Chilkiyah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Merayoth, the son of Actitub, the ruler of the house of God.
12 Jeroham capa Adaiah, Pashur capa Jeroham, Malkhiah capa Pashhur, Adiel capa Maasai, Jahzerah capa Adiel, Meshullam capa Jahzerah, Meshillemith capa Meshullam, Immer capa Meshillemith.
And 'Adayah the son of Jerocham, the son of Pashchur, the son of Malkiyah, and Ma'sai the son of 'Adiel, the son of Jachzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer:
13 Amih boeinaphung khaw a napa rhoek imkhui kah a lu rhoek ni. Pathen im kah thothuengnah bitat dongah tatthai hlangrhalh thawng khat ya rhih sawmrhuk om.
And their brethren, chiefs of their family divisions, were one thousand and seven hundred and sixty, very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Levi, Merari koca lamloh Hasshub capa Shemaiah, Azrikam capa Hasshub, Hashabiah capa Azrikam.
And of the Levites: Shema'yah the son of Chasshub, the son of 'Azrikam, the son of Chashabyah, of the sons of Merari;
15 Bakbakkar Heresh neh Galal, Mikha capa Mattaniah, Zikhri capa Mikha, Asaph capa Zikhri.
And Bakbakkar, Cheresh, and Galal, and Matthanyah the son of Micha, the son of Zichri, the son of Assaph;
16 Shemaiah capa Obadiah, Galal capa Shemaiah, Jeduthun capa Galal, Asa capa Berekiah, Elkanah capa Asa tah Netophah vangca ah kho a sak uh.
And 'Obadiah the son of Shema'yah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechyah the son of Assa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Thoh tawt rhoek tah Shallum, Akkub, Talmon neh Ahiman. Amih boeinaphung kah a lu tah Shallum ni.
And the gatekeepers were Shallum, and 'Akkub, and Talmon, and Achiman, and their brethren, Shallum being the chief;
18 Amih te tahae hil khocuk kah manghai vongka ah Levi koca rhaehhmuen kah thoh tawt la om uh.
And up to this time they are in the king's gate to the eastward: they are the gatekeepers for the camps of the children of Levi.
19 Kore capa Shallum, Ebiasaph capa Kore, Korah capa Ebiasaph neh a manuca rhoek. A napa imkhui lamloh dap kah cingkhaa a ngaithuen he Korah koca kah thothuengnah bitat la ana khuehuh. A napa rhoek khaw BOEIPA rhaehhmuen kah khuirhai te a ngaithuen uh.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebyassaph, the son of Korach, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korchites, being over the work of the service, were the watchmen at the threshold of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the camp of the Lord, were the watchmen at the entrance [thereof].
20 Eleazar capa Phinekha tah BOEIPA amah neh a mikhmuh ah amih te rhaengsang la a om thil.
And Phinehas the son of El'azar was the ruler over them in times past; [and] the Lord was with him.
21 Meshelemiah capa Zekhariah tah tingtunnah dap thohka kah thoh tawt la om.
[And] Zechariah the son of Meshelemyah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 Amih cingkhaa dongkah thoh tawt la a coelh boeih he ya hnih hlai hnih lo. Amih te a vang khuiah tah a khuui la ana om coeng. Amih te khohmu David neh Samuel loh a uepomnah dongah ana suen coeng.
All of these selected to be gatekeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were recorded according to their genealogy in their villages; [and they were] those [whom] David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their trust.
23 Amih neh amih koca rhoek loh BOEIPA im neh dap im kah vongka ah rhaltawt la ana khuehuh.
Both they and their children had the oversight over the gates of the house of the Lord, [namely, ] the house of the tabernacle, as watches.
24 Thoh tawt rhoek khaw mueihla pali dongah khocuk, khotlak, tlangpuei neh tuithim ah om uh.
On four quarters were the gatekeepers, toward the east, the west, the north, and the south.
25 A vang kah amih boeinaphung he a tue a tue kah a rhih khohnin ah tah amih taengla pawk uh.
And their brethren, who were in their villages, had to come after every seven days from time to time in common with these.
26 Amih kah uepomnah vanbangla Levi hlangrhalh pali te tah thoh tawt la om uh tih Pathen im kah imkhan neh thakvoh taengah om uh.
For in [their] trust were these four chief gatekeepers— these Levites, and they were [appointed] over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27 Amih kah tuemkoi vanbangla Pathen im kaepvai ah rhaeh uh. Amih tah mincang, mincang ah cabi aka ong ham khaw omuh.
And they lodged round about the house of God; because upon them rested the duty of watching, and they had the supervision of the opening thereof each and every morning.
28 Thothuengnah hnopai dongah khaw amih lamloh hlangmi tarhing la a pawk puei uh tih a hlangmi tarhing la a khuen uh.
And some of them had the charge of the vessels for the service; for by number did they bring them in, and by number did they carry them out.
29 Amih lamkah te hnopai so neh hmuencim kah hnopai cungkuem soah, vaidam soah khaw, misurtui neh situi soah khaw, hmueihtui neh botui soah khaw a khueh.
Some of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Tedae khosoih koca rhoek lamkah te tah botui si neh a thungnom sak.
And some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixture of the spices.
31 Levi lamkah Korah Shallum caming Mattithiah tah hmairhoh bibi neh uepomnah la om.
And Matthithyah, one of the Levites, who was the first-born of Shallum the Korchite, had the trust over the meat-offerings that were baked in the pans.
32 Amih manuca lamkah Kohathi koca rhoek lamloh Sabbath kah Sabbath rhungkung buh te a tawn uh.
And others of their brethren, of the sons of the Kehathites, were over the orders of the shew-bread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33 Imkhan ah Levi napa boeilu aka hlai rhoek tah khoyin khothaih amih ham bitat a om dongah a bangtlang la a phaelhael uh.
But these the singers, the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, remained in the chambers free of service; for day and night were they obliged to engage in that work.
34 He rhoek he a rhuirhong lamtah Levi napa rhoek kah boeilu la om uh tih boeilu rhoek he Jerusalem ah kho a sak uh.
These are the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, being the chiefs for their generations: these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35 Gibeon napa Jeuel Jeiel tah Gibeon ah kho a sak tih a yuu ming tah Maakah ni.
And in Gib'on dwelt the father of Gib'on, Je'iel; and the name of his wife was Ma'achah;
36 Anih koca ah a caming te Abdon tih Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner neh Nadab.
And his first-born son was 'Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Ba'al, and Ner, and Nadab,
37 Gedor, Ahio, Zekhariah neh Mikloth.
And Gedor, and Achyo, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 Mikloth loh Shimeam a sak. Amih khaw a boeinaphung la Jerusalem ah a manuca rhoek neh hmaitoh tih kho a sak uh.
And Mikloth begat Shimam. And they also dwelt alongside of their brethren at Jerusalem, with their brethren.
39 Ner loh Kish a sak, Kish loh Saul a sak, Saul loh Jonathan, Malkhishua, Abinadab neh Eshbaal a sak.
And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jehonathan, and Malki-shua', and Abinadab, and Eshba'al.
40 Jonathan koca Meribbaal tih Meribbaal loh Maikah a sak.
And the son of Jehonathan was Merib-ba'al: and Merib-ba'al begat Michah.
41 Maikah koca ah Pithon, Melek neh Tahrea.
And the sons of Michah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Thachrea'.
42 Ahaz loh Jarah a sak, Jarah loh Alemeth, Azmaveth neh Zimri a sak. Zimri loh Moza a sak.
And Achaz begat Ja'rah; and Ja'rah begat 'Alemeth, 'Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
43 Moza loh Binea a sak tih Binea capa Rephaiah, Rephaiah capa Elasah, Elasah capa Azel.
And Moza begat Bin'a; ! and Rephayah his son, El'assah his son, Azel his son.
44 Azel te capa parhuk om tih a ming tah Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah neh Hanan ni. He rhoek he Azel koca rhoek ni.
And Azel had six sons, and these are their names, 'Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and She'aryah, and 'Obadiah, and Chanan: these were the sons of Azel.
