< Rom 1 >
1 Jesuh Khrih kah sal, caeltueihlaa khuetih Pathen kah olthangthen hama coelh kai Paul,
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called Apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
2 Cabu cim khuiah amah kah tonghmarhoek lamloh ol a khueh tangtae,
(which he formerly announced by his prophets, in the Sacred Writings, )
3 A capa kawng tah pumsa ah David kah a tiingan lamkah ha thoeng.
concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; descended from David, as to his flesh,
4 Mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh Khrih tah, aka duek kah thohkoepnah lamloh cimcaihnah mueihla tarhing la thaomnah dongah Pathen capalaa hmoel coeng.
and constituted the Son of God, with power, as to his holy spiritual nature, after his resurrection from the dead:
5 Anih dongah lungvatnah neh a ming yueng la namtom boeih taengah tangnah kah olngainah caeltueih te n'dang uh.
by whom we have received favor, even the apostolic office, for the obedience of faith among all nations, for his name's sake:
6 Te rhoek lakli ah nangmih khaw Jesuh Khrih kah a khue la na om uh.
among whom are you, also, called of Jesus Christ:
7 Rom ah aka omtih Pathen kah thintlo, hlangcimlaa khuerhoek boeih, nangmih taengah mamih kah Pa Pathen neh Boeipa Jesuh Khrih lamkah ngaimongnah neh lungvatnah soep saeh.
To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints; favor be to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Nangmih kah tangnah te Diklai boeih aha doek uh dongah nangmih boeih ham Jesuh Khrih lamloh ka Pathen te lamhma la ka uem.
First of all, I thank my God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for you all, that your faith is published in all the world.
9 Pathen tah kai ham laipai la om. Amahte a capa kah olthangthen dongah ka mueihla neh tho ka thueng. Te vanbangla nangmih poekkoepnahte ka thangthuinah dongah phat ka khueh yoeyah.
For God is my witness, whom I serve sincerely in the gospel of his Son, that continually I make mention of you;
10 Pathen kah kongaih neh nangmih taengah pawk ham vai vai tah bet khui koinih kana ti.
always in my prayers, requesting that, by some means, now at length, I may have a prosperous journey, (God willing, ) to come to you.
11 Nangmih aka duel la mueihla kutdoete nangmih taengah ka pak bet ham ni nangmihte hmuh ham ka rhingda.
For I greatly desire to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established;
12 Nangmih neh kai kah tangnah he nangmih taeng khat khat soah aka hloephloei la om.
and that I may be comforted, together with you, through the mutual faith both of you and me.
13 Manucarhoek nangmihte mangvawt sak laeh ka ngaih moenih. Te ni nangmih taengla lo ham ka cai ninoe he. Tedae tahae hil he n'kang pueng. Te daengah ni nangmih taengah khaw, a tloe namtomrhoek taengah khawa thaih pakhat la ka om van eh.
Now, brethren, I would not have you ignorant, that I often purposed to come to you, thought I have, as yet been hindered; that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.
14 Greekrhoek neh kholong rhoek taengah, aka cueih neh aka ang taengah, laiba ka khueh.
I am a debtor, both to the Greeks and to the barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise.
15 Te dongah ni Rom kah nangmih taengah khaw phong ham ka yakvawt.
Therefore, I am willing, according to my ability, to declare the glad tidings, even to you who are in Rome.
16 Olthangthen ham he ka yak pawh. Te tah Pathen kah thaomnah neh aka tangnah boeih ham tah lamhmaah Judah neh Greek ham khaw khangnah la om.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel; because it is the power of God for salvation, to every one who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 “Hlang dueng tah tangnah loha hing sak ni,” tilaa daek. Te dongah Pathen kah duengnah tah tangnah lamloh tangnah dongah pumphoe coeng.
For in it the justification of God by faith is revealed, in order to faith; as it is written, "Now the just by faith, shall live."
18 Pathen kah kosi tah oltak boethae neh aka vueinan hlang rhoek kah boethae neh hlangrhong boeih soah vaan lamloh pumphoe coeng.
Besides the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth by unrighteousness.
19 Pathen tah amih taengah a phoe pah coeng dongah te nen te amih taengah mingpha la aka om Pathen te hmat saeh.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest among them, for God has manifested it to them:
20 Diklai suentae lamkah a kutngo hmuhmueh te phaeng a tueng la n'yakming. A thaomnah neh Pathen a coengnah tah dungyan la om. Te dongah amih te basa tloel la om. (aïdios )
(for his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, since the creation of the world, are very evident; being known by his works: ) so that they are inexcusable. (aïdios )
21 Pathen tea ming uh dae Pathen bangla thangpom uh pawt tih uem uh pawh. Tedae a poeknah dongah moelh uh tih a thinko lungmong kotalh la hmuep coeng.
Because, though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, neither gave him thanks; but became foolish by their own reasonings, and their inconsiderate heart was darkened.
22 Hlang cueih la om ham cai uh dae dap uh coeng.
Professing to be wise men, they became fools:
23 Pathen taengkah aka kuei thangpomnah te, aka hmawn thai hlang, vaa, rhamsa neh rhulcai kah mueimae, mueisa laa thovael uh.
for they changed the glory of the immortal God into the likeness of an image of mortal man, of fowls, or four-footed beasts, and of reptiles.
24 Te dongah Pathen loh amihte amamih neh amamih a pum te yahbai ham amih kah thinko hoehhamnah dongah rhongingnah taenglaa paek coeng.
Therefore, also, God, through the lusts of their own hearts, delivered them over to uncleanness, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves.
25 Amih loh Pathen kah oltak te laithae neha thovael uh. Te dongah aka suen lakaha suentae te tho a thueng thil uh tiha bawk uh. Amah tah kumhal ah uemom la om pai. Amen (aiōn )
Who changed the truth concerning God, into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is forever blessed. Amen. (aiōn )
26 Te dongah Pathen loh amihte rhaidaeng kah a huebawtnah donglaa voeih. Huta long khawa pongthohnah aka omnoek te aka omnoek neh a kingkhalh laa thovael uh coeng.
For this, God delivered them over to shameful passions; for even their females changed the natural use unto what is contrary to nature.
27 Te banghui la tongparhoek long khaw huta neh pongthohnah aka omnoek tea hlahpham uh. Pakhat taengah a kocuknah neha cahoeh uh dongah tongpa neh tongpa rhaidaeng la thoeng uh. Te dongah a tholhhiknah neha kuek dantatnah te a yook uh.
In like manner, also, the males, leaving the natural use of the female, burned in their lust toward one another, males with males, working out that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
28 A mingnah khuiah Pathente khaw om sak ham a soepsoei uh pawt vanbangla Pathen loh amihte lungbueia lolhmaih laa khueh pah. Te dongah saii hamkoi te khaw khuetnet uh pawh.
And as they did not like to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to an undiscerning mind, to work those things which are not suitable;
29 Boethae, halangnah, phayoenah, halhkanah, boeih neh baetawt uh tih uethnetnah, ngawnnah, tohhaemnah, tuengkhuepnah, kothetnah, hlangthetkung khaw bae.
being filled with all injustice, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, bad habits, whisperers,
30 Hohmuh, Pathen aka thii nah, hnaephnapkung, buhueng aka pom, hlangoek, boethae aka phuengkung, a manu napa taengah aka lokhak,
revilers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil pleasure, disobedient to parents,
31 lungmong rhoek, olpok rhoek, kotalh rhoek, muenying muenyang la om uh.
impudent, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.
32 Te bang khosarhoek tea duek uh tueng tila Pathen kah rhilama ming uh lalah amamih bueng kah a saii bueng kolla te bang aka saiirhoek te khawa rhoi uh.
Some, who clearly understand the law of God, (that they who practice such things are worthy of death, ) not only do these things, but even commend those who practice them.
