< Rom 10 >
1 Khatbenah manuca rhoek, khangnah ham amih yueng Pathen taengah ka thinko kah kolonah tah rhenbihnah ni.
Brethren, indeed my heart's desire and prayer to God for them, is, that they may be saved.
2 Pathen kah kohlopnaha khueh uh te amih ham ka phong pah. Tedae mingnah nen moenih.
For I testify to God for them, that they have a zeal for God; but not according to knowledge;
3 Pathen kah duengnah vik tea mangvawt uh tih amah kah duengnah thoh ham ni a toem uh. Te dongah Pathen kah duengnah dongah boe a ngai uh moenih.
for being ignorant of God's justification, and seeking to establish their own, they have not submitted to the justification which is of God.
4 Te dongah aka tangnahrhoek boeihte duengnah ham olkhueng kah a bawtnah tah Khrih ni.
For Christ is the end of the law for justification to every believer.
5 Moses loh olkhueng kah duengnah kawng tea daek coeng. Te tla a saii daengah ni hlang loh te nen te a hing eh.
Now Moses describes the justification which is by the law, that "the man who does these things shall live by them."
6 Tedae tangnah kah duengnah loh, “Na thinko ah, 'Unim Vaan la aka luei eh? Te tah Khrih aka khuen la om.
But the justification which is by faith speaks thus: Say not in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? that is, to bring Christ down.
7 Te phoeiah, 'Unim tangrhom dung la aka suntla eh? Te duek lamkah hang khuen ham tila Khrih ni, 'ti boeh,” a ti tangloeng. (Abyssos )
Or, Who shall descend into the abyss? that is, to bring up Christ from the dead. (Abyssos )
8 Tedae balae n'ti lah eh? Olka te na taengah, na ka ah, na thinko ah om. Tekah aka om tangnah olka la ka hoe uh te.
But what does it say? (The word is near you--in your mouth, and in your heart; that is, the word of faith which we preach: )
9 Boeipa Jesuhte na ka nehna phong tih duek lamkah anih aka thoh Pathen te na thinko ahna tangnah atahna daem ni.
that if you will openly confess with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10 Thinko neh a tangnahte duengnah la, ka neh a phongte khangnah la om.
(For with your heart man believes to justification: and with your mouth confession is made to salvation.)
11 Te dongah cacim loh, “Amah te aka tangnah boeih tah yahpok mahpawh.
For the scripture says, "No one, who believes on him, shall be ashamed."
12 Judah neh Greek lakloah hlihloehnaha om moenih. Boeipa amah tah hlang boeih kah ni. Amah aka phoei rhoek boeih taengaha khuehtawn sak.
Indeed, there is no distinction either of Jew or of Greek: for the same Lord of all, is right toward all who call upon him.
13 Te dongah boeipa ming aka khue boeih te tah daem ni.
"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
14 Tedaea tangnah uh mueh la amah te metlama khue uh eh? A yaak uh mueh la amahte metlama tangnah uh eh? A hoe mueh la metlama yaak uh eh?
But how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear, without a proclaimer?
15 A tueih uh pawt atah metlama hoe uh eh? A daek vanbangla hnothen te aka phongrhoek kaha kho tah sawtthen tangkik.
and how shall proclaim, unless they be sent? as it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of them, who bring the joyful message of peace--of them, who bring the joyful news of good things!"
16 Tedae olthangthen te hlang boeihloh a ngai uh moenih. Isaiah loh, “Boeipa kaimih kah olthang he u long a tangnah,” a ti.
Nevertheless, all have not obeyed the gospel; for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"
17 Te dongah tangnah tah hnavue lamloh, hnavue tah Khrih kah olka lamloh ha om.
(So, then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.)
18 Tedae, “A yaak uh moenih a?” ka ti. Amih kah oldi loh diklai pum la cet tih, amih kah olka loh lunglaia bawtnah due a pha.
But I ask, have they not heard? Yes, indeed, "Their sound has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world."
19 Tedae, “Israel loh ming pawt nim?” ka ti. Moses loh lamhma la, “Kai tah namtom pawt nen khaw nangmih kan thatlai thil ni. Lungmong namtom rhangneh nangmih kan sai sak ni,” a ti.
I ask again, has not Israel known? First, Moses says, "I will provoke you to jealousy by that, which is no nation; --by a foolish nation I will enrage you."
20 Te dongah Isaiah tah a rhalthen tih, “Kai aka toem pawt rhoek loh m'hmuhtih kai aka dawt pawt rhoek taengah aka phoe la ka om,” a ti.
Besides, Isaiah is very bold when he says, "I am found by them, who did not seek me: I am shown to them, who did not ask for me."
21 Te phoeiah Israel taengah, “Ka kut te hnin at puet pilnam ol aek neh boekoek taengah ka phuel coeng,” a ti nah.
But concerning Israel he says, "All the day long, have I stretched forth my hand to a disobedient and rebelling people."
