< Rom 1 >
1 Jesuh Khrih kah sal, caeltueih la a khue tih Pathen kah olthangthen ham a coelh kai Paul,
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated unto the glad-message of God—
2 Cabu cim khuiah amah kah tonghma rhoek lamloh ol a khueh tangtae,
Which he promised beforehand, through his prophets, in holy scriptures—
3 A capa kawng tah pumsa ah David kah a tiingan lamkah ha thoeng.
Concerning his Son, —who came to be of the seed of David, according to flesh,
4 Mamih kah Boeipa Jesuh Khrih tah, aka duek kah thohkoepnah lamloh cimcaihnah mueihla tarhing la thaomnah dongah Pathen capa la a hmoel coeng.
Who was distinguished as the Son of God—by power, according to a Holy Spirit, through means of a resurrection of the dead, —Jesus Christ our Lord;
5 Anih dongah lungvatnah neh a ming yueng la namtom boeih taengah tangnah kah olngainah caeltueih te n'dang uh.
Through whom we have received favour and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations, in behalf of his name,
6 Te rhoek lakli ah nangmih khaw Jesuh Khrih kah a khue la na om uh.
Among whom are, ye also, called of Jesus Christ:
7 Rom ah aka om tih Pathen kah thintlo, hlangcim la a khue rhoek boeih, nangmih taengah mamih kah Pa Pathen neh Boeipa Jesuh Khrih lamkah ngaimongnah neh lungvatnah soep saeh.
Unto all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints, favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Nangmih kah tangnah te Diklai boeih ah a doek uh dongah nangmih boeih ham Jesuh Khrih lamloh ka Pathen te lamhma la ka uem.
First, indeed, I give thanks unto my God, through Jesus Christ, concerning you all, because your faith is being announced throughout the whole world.
9 Pathen tah kai ham laipai la om. Amah te a capa kah olthangthen dongah ka mueihla neh tho ka thueng. Te vanbangla nangmih poekkoepnah te ka thangthuinah dongah phat ka khueh yoeyah.
For God is, my witness, —unto whom I am rendering divine service in my spirit, in the glad message of his Son, —how incessantly, I am making mention of you
10 Pathen kah kongaih neh nangmih taengah pawk ham vai vai tah bet khui koinih kana ti.
At all times in my prayers, —making supplication—if, by some means, even now, at any time, I may have a way opened, in the will of God, to come unto you;
11 Nangmih aka duel la mueihla kutdoe te nangmih taengah ka pak bet ham ni nangmih te hmuh ham ka rhingda.
For I am longing to see you, that I may impart some spiritual gift unto you, to the end ye may be established, —
12 Nangmih neh kai kah tangnah he nangmih taeng khat khat soah aka hloephloei la om.
That is to say—there may be a mutual encouragement among you, each by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
13 Manuca rhoek nangmih te mangvawt sak laeh ka ngaih moenih. Te ni nangmih taengla lo ham ka cai ninoe he. Tedae tahae hil he n'kang pueng. Te daengah ni nangmih taengah khaw, a tloe namtom rhoek taengah khaw a thaih pakhat la ka om van eh.
I do not wish however that ye should be ignorant, brethren, that, many times, have I purposed to come unto you, but have been hindered, until the present, —in order that, some fruit, I might have among you also, even as among the other nations,
14 Greek rhoek neh kholong rhoek taengah, aka cueih neh aka ang taengah, laiba ka khueh.
Both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to wise and to unwise, a debtor, I am:
15 Te dongah ni Rom kah nangmih taengah khaw phong ham ka yakvawt.
Thus, the eagerness on my part—unto you also who are in Rome, to announce the joyful message.
16 Olthangthen ham he ka yak pawh. Te tah Pathen kah thaomnah neh aka tangnah boeih ham tah lamhma ah Judah neh Greek ham khaw khangnah la om.
For I am not ashamed of the joyful message; for it is God’s power unto salvation, to every one that believeth, both to Jew [first] and to Greek;
17 “Hlang dueng tah tangnah loh a hing sak ni,” tila a daek. Te dongah Pathen kah duengnah tah tangnah lamloh tangnah dongah pumphoe coeng.
For, a righteousness of God, is therein revealed, —by faith unto faith: even as it is written—But, he that is righteous, by faith, shall live.
18 Pathen kah kosi tah oltak boethae neh aka vueinan hlang rhoek kah boethae neh hlangrhong boeih soah vaan lamloh pumphoe coeng.
For there is being revealed an anger of God from heaven—against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who, the truth, in unrighteousness, do hold down; —
19 Pathen tah amih taengah a phoe pah coeng dongah te nen te amih taengah mingpha la aka om Pathen te hmat saeh.
Inasmuch as, what may be known of God, is manifest among them, for, God, unto them, hath made it manifest, —
20 Diklai suentae lamkah a kutngo hmuhmueh te phaeng a tueng la n'yakming. A thaomnah neh Pathen a coengnah tah dungyan la om. Te dongah amih te basa tloel la om. (aïdios )
For, the unseen things of him, from a world’s creation, by the things made, being perceived, are clearly seen, even his eternal power and divinity, —to the end they should be without excuse; (aïdios )
21 Pathen te a ming uh dae Pathen bangla thangpom uh pawt tih uem uh pawh. Tedae a poeknah dongah moelh uh tih a thinko lungmong kotalh la hmuep coeng.
Inasmuch as, having come to know God, not, as God, did they glorify him, or give him thanks, but were made fruitless in their reasonings, and darkened was their undiscerning heart,
22 Hlang cueih la om ham cai uh dae dap uh coeng.
Professing to be wise, they were made foolish,
23 Pathen taengkah aka kuei thangpomnah te, aka hmawn thai hlang, vaa, rhamsa neh rhulcai kah mueimae, mueisa la a thovael uh.
And, exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God, for the likeness of an image of a corruptible man, and of birds and fourfooted beasts and reptiles:
24 Te dongah Pathen loh amih te amamih neh amamih a pum te yahbai ham amih kah thinko hoehhamnah dongah rhongingnah taengla a paek coeng.
Wherefore God gave them up in the covetings of their hearts unto impurity, so as to be dishonouring their bodies among them, —
25 Amih loh Pathen kah oltak te laithae neh a thovael uh. Te dongah aka suen lakah a suentae te tho a thueng thil uh tih a bawk uh. Amah tah kumhal ah uemom la om pai. Amen (aiōn )
Who, indeed, exchanged away the truth of God for the falsehood, and rendered worship and service unto the creature rather than unto the Creator, —who is blessed unto the ages. Amen! (aiōn )
26 Te dongah Pathen loh amih te rhaidaeng kah a huebawtnah dongla a voeih. Huta long khaw a pongthohnah aka omnoek te aka omnoek neh a kingkhalh la a thovael uh coeng.
For this cause, God gave them up unto dishonourable passions; for, even their females, exchanged away the natural use into that which is against nature, —
27 Te banghui la tongpa rhoek long khaw huta neh pongthohnah aka omnoek te a hlahpham uh. Pakhat taengah a kocuknah neh a cahoeh uh dongah tongpa neh tongpa rhaidaeng la thoeng uh. Te dongah a tholhhiknah neh a kuek dantatnah te a yook uh.
In like manner also, even the males, leaving the natural use of the female, flamed out in their eager desire one for another, males with males, the indecency, effecting, —and, the necessary recompence of their error, within themselves, duly receiving; —
28 A mingnah khuiah Pathen te khaw om sak ham a soepsoei uh pawt vanbangla Pathen loh amih te lungbuei a lolhmaih la a khueh pah. Te dongah saii ham koi te khaw khuetnet uh pawh.
And, even as they did not approve to be holding, God, in acknowledgment, God gave them up unto a disapproved mind to be doing the things that are not becoming,
29 Boethae, halangnah, phayoenah, halhkanah, boeih neh baetawt uh tih uethnetnah, ngawnnah, tohhaemnah, tuengkhuepnah, kothetnah, hlangthetkung khaw bae.
Filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, baseness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil disposition,
30 Hohmuh, Pathen aka thii nah, hnaephnapkung, buhueng aka pom, hlangoek, boethae aka phuengkung, a manu napa taengah aka lokhak,
Whisperers, detractors, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, vain boasters, inventors of vices, unto parents unyielding,
31 lungmong rhoek, olpok rhoek, kotalh rhoek, muenying muenyang la om uh.
Without discernment, regardless of covenants, without natural affection, unmerciful: —
32 Te bang khosa rhoek te a duek uh tueng tila Pathen kah rhilam a ming uh lalah amamih bueng kah a saii bueng kolla te bang aka saii rhoek te khaw a rhoi uh.
Who, indeed, having acknowledged the righteous sentence of God, —that, they who such things as these do practise, are worthy of death, not only, the same things, are doing, but are even delighting together with them who are practising [them].
