1 [Ezrakhi hoel Heman kah hlohlai aka doo Mahalath aka mawt ham Korah koca rhoek kah Tingtoeng laa] Kai kah khangnah Pathen BOEIPA, namah hmaiah khoyin khothaih ka pang.
A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah, to the Overseer, 'Concerning the Sickness of Afflictions.' — An instruction, by Heman the Ezrahite. O Jehovah, God of my salvation, Daily I have cried, nightly before Thee,
2 Ka thangthuinah loh namah mikhmuh la ha pawk saeh. Ka tamlung he na hna kaeng thil lah.
My prayer cometh in before Thee, Incline Thine ear to my loud cry,
For my soul hath been full of evils, And my life hath come to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
4 Tangrhom la aka suntla rhoek neh n'moeh tih a dawn aka sai mueh hlang bangla ka om.
I have been reckoned with those going down [to] the pit, I have been as a man without strength.
5 Aka duek rhoek taengah a rhoe tih phuel kah aka yalh rhok te na ngaidam voel kolla na kut dong lamkah na tuiphih banghui lamni ka om coeng.
Among the dead — free, As pierced ones lying in the grave, Whom Thou hast not remembered any more, Yea, they by Thy hand have been cut off.
6 Kai he a laedil kah tangrhom ah, khohmuep ah, a cok ah nan khueh.
Thou hast put me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in depths.
7 Na kosi te kai soah na tloeng tih na tuiphu tom neh nan phaep.
Upon me hath Thy fury lain, And [with] all Thy breakers Thou hast afflicted. (Selah)
8 Kamah kah hmaiben nawn khaw kai taeng lamkah nan lakhla sak. Amih kah tueilaehkoi la kai nan khueh dongah n'nan uh tih ka coe thai pawh. (Selah)
Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me, Thou hast made me an abomination to them, Shut up — I go not forth.
9 Phacipphabaem khui lamkah nang kang khue ham khaw ka mik kha coeng. BOEIPA namah taengah hnin takuem ka kut ka phuel.
Mine eye hath grieved because of affliction, I called Thee, O Jehovah, all the day, I have spread out unto Thee my hands.
10 Aka duek rhoek ham khobaerhambae na saii pah atah sairhai a aka thoo vetih namah n'uem eh? (Selah)
To the dead dost Thou do wonders? Do Rephaim rise? do they thank Thee? (Selah)
11 Nang kah sitlohnah te phuel khuiah, na uepomnah te Abaddon ah a thui aya?
Is Thy kindness recounted in the grave? Thy faithfulness in destruction?
12 Nang kah khobaerhambae te khohmuep khuiah, namah kah duengnah te lunghnilh kho ah a ming uh aya?
Are Thy wonders known in the darkness? And Thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 Tedae kai loh BOEIPA nang taengah ka pang tih mincang kah ka thangthuinah loh namah n'doe.
And I, unto Thee, O Jehovah, I have cried, And in the morning doth my prayer come before Thee.
14 BOEIPA aw ba dongah nim ka hinglu he na hlahpham tih kai taeng lamkah na maelhmai na thuh mai?
Why, O Jehovah, castest Thou off my soul? Thou hidest Thy face from me.
15 Kai mangdaeng he ka camoe lamkah ka pal coeng. Nang taengkah mueirhih ka phueih tih ka ngaidaeng.
I [am] afflicted, and expiring from youth, I have borne Thy terrors — I pine away.
16 Na thinsa loh kai soah n'khuk tih namah kah hihhamnah loh kai m'biit uh coeng.
Over me hath Thy wrath passed, Thy terrors have cut me off,
17 Tui bangla kai n'hil uh tih, khohnin yung ah kai malh m'vael.
They have surrounded me as waters all the day, They have gone round against me together,
18 Ka lungnah ka paya khaw kai taeng lamkah nan lakhla sak tih khohmuep ni ka hmaiben coeng.
Thou hast put far from me lover and friend, Mine acquaintance [is] the place of darkness!
