1 [David kah Tuilipai te aka mawt ham] Tui loh ka hinglu te ham pha dongah Pathen aw kai n'khang lah.
O God, save me, because [I am in great danger]. [It is as though] flood water is up to my neck, [and I am about to drown] [MET].
2 Sihnok laedil la ka buek tih tungtainah om kolla tui dung la ka pha voek dongah tuili loh kai n'yo coeng.
I continue to sink in the deep mud, and there is no solid ground for me to stand on. I am in deep water, and flood waters are swirling around me.
3 Ka pang te khaw ka kohnue coeng. Ka olrhong khaw koh coeng. Ka Pathen te ka lamtawn ah ka mik kha coeng.
I am exhausted from calling out [for help]; my throat is very dry. Because I have cried so much as I have waited for God [to help me], my eyes are swollen.
4 Lunglilungla la ka lunguet rhoek tah ka lu dongkah sam lakah yet. A honghi mai neh kai aka biit ka thunkha rhoek loh yet uh. Ka huen pawt te ka sah.
Those who hate me when there is no reason to hate me are more than the number of hairs on my head [HYP]! Those who want to get rid of me are strong, and they tell lies about me. They demand that I return to them things that I did not steal!
5 Ka anglat te Pathen namah loh na ming tih ka dumlai he nang taeng lamloh a thuh uh moenih.
O God, (you see the sins that I have committed/my sins are not hidden from you). You know that I have foolishly [disobeyed your laws].
6 Ka Boeipa caempuei Yahovah, nang aka lamtawn rhoek te kai kong ah yahpok uh boel saeh. Israel Pathen nang aka tlap rhoek te kai kong ah a hmaithae uh boel saeh.
O Yahweh God, [you who are the commander] of the armies [of heaven], do not allow the [wrong things that] I [have done] to cause those who trust in you to be disappointed/disillusioned. O God, you whom [we] Israeli people [worship], do not allow me to cause your people to be humiliated.
7 Nang ham te kokhahnah ka phueih tih ka maelhmai he mingthae loh a dah.
People have insulted/ridiculed me because [I am devoted to] you. They have thoroughly humiliated [IDM] me.
8 Ka pacaboeina rhoek taengah ka hlanglak tih ka manu ca rhoek taengah ka kholong.
Even my own [older] brothers act as if they do not know me; they treat me like a foreigner.
9 Na im thatlainah dongah kai n'yoop tih nang aka veet rhoek kah kokhahnah khaw kai soah tla.
[Some people have despised your temple]; but my zeal for [keeping] your temple [holy] is like a fire burning inside me. So [it is as though] those who are insulting you are also insulting me.
10 Te dongah ka hinglu kah yaehnah neh ka rhap dae kai taengah kokhahnah la pawk.
When I have humbled myself and (fasted/abstained from eating food) [to show my sadness about the disgraceful things that they have done to your temple], they just insult me.
11 Ka tlamhni pueinak ka bai vaengah amih ham thuidoeknah la ka om.
When I put on [rough] sackcloth [to show that I am sad], they laugh at [IDM] me.
12 Vongka kah aka ngol rhoek loh kai taengah lolmang a taeng uh tih yu o rhoek kah rhotoeng la ka om khoeng.
Even the elders [of the city] say bad things about me. The drunkards of the city sing [disgusting] songs about me.
13 Tedae Pathen kah kolonah tue vaengah, kai loh BOEIPA nang taengah ka thangthuinah te, na sitlohnah cangpai dongah namah kah khangnah oltak neh kai nan doo.
But Yahweh, I will [continue] praying to you. At the time that you choose, answer me and rescue me because you faithfully love me.
14 Tangnong khui lamkah kai n'huul lamtah m'buek sak boeh. Ka lunguet neh tui dung lamkah n'huul lah.
Do not allow me to sink any more in the mud. Rescue me from those who hate me! Lift me up out of these deep waters!
15 Tuili tui loh kai n'yo boel saeh lamtah a laedil la kai n'yoop boel saeh. Tangrhom loh kai a ka n'khuep thil boel saeh.
Do not allow flood waters to swirl around me, do not allow the deep [mud] to swallow me; keep me from sinking into the pit [of death] [MET].
16 Na sitlohnah a then dongah kai n'doo lah BOEIPA. Na haidamnah cungkuem neh kai taengla ha mael lah.
O Yahweh, answer my prayer and help me because you are good and love me faithfully.
17 Te dongah na maelhmai te na sal taeng lamkah thuh boel mai. Ka taengah n'daengdaeh dongah a loe la kai n'doo dae.
Do not (hide yourself from/refuse to hear) me; answer me quickly because I am in great trouble.
18 Ka hinglu taengla ha yoei lamtah n'tlan dae. Ka thunkha rhoek kongah kai n'lat dae.
Come near to me and save me; rescue me from my enemies.
19 Namah loh kai kah kokhahnah, yahpohnah, ka mingthae neh na hmaikah kai aka daengdaeh boeih khaw na ming.
You know that I am insulted and that [people cause] me [to feel] ashamed and dishonored; you know [who] all my enemies [are].
20 Kokhahnah dongah ka lungbuei rhek tih ka mangoeng sut. Te dongah aka suem ham ka lamtawn dae om pawt tih, aka hloep ham khaw ka hmu pawh.
[Their] insults have deeply offended me, and I (feel helpless/am in despair). I searched for [someone who would] pity [me], but there was no one. I wanted someone to encourage/comfort me, but there were none.
21 Ka buh dongah anrhat han hlum uh tih ka tuihalh vaengkah ham a thuui n'tul uh.
[Instead], they gave me food [that tasted like] poison, and when I was thirsty, they gave me sour wine to drink.
22 Amih kah caboei te amih mikhmuh ah pael la, rhoepnah te hlaeh la om pah saeh.
I hope/desire that the feasts [MTY] [that they enjoy] will (become a snare for/bring trouble to) them, and that [those whom they invite to] the sacrificial feasts will also be trapped.
23 Amih kah mik te a tueng khui lamkah hmuep saeh lamtah a cinghen khaw khun yoeyah saeh.
I hope/desire that their eyesight will become dim so that they cannot see anything, and that their backs/bodies will become weaker and weaker.
24 Amih te na kosi lun thil lamtah na thintoek thinsa loh amih te doom saeh.
Show them that you are very angry with them! Because of your great/furious anger, chase after them and catch them.
25 Amih kah lumim te kho pong la om saeh lamtah a dap ah khosa hlang om boel saeh.
Cause their towns to become abandoned/deserted and that there will be no one left to live in their tents/houses.
26 Na ngawn te a hloem uh tih na rhok kah nganboh te a tae uh.
[Do this] because they persecute those whom you have punished, (they talk about the sins of/they want to hurt even more) those whom you have wounded.
27 Thaesainah te amamih kah thaesainah neh a koei dongah nang kah duengnah te bawn uh boel saeh.
Keep making a record of all their sins, do not acquit/pardon them [for the evil things that they have done].
28 Hingnah cabu khui lamkah phae lamtah hlang dueng rhoek neh hmaih daek boeh.
Erase their names [SYN] from the book [containing the names of those who have eternal] life; do not include them in the list of righteous people.
29 Tedae kai mangdaeng thakkhoeih he, Pathen namah kah khangnah neh n'hoeptlang lah.
As for me, I have pain and am suffering. O God, protect me and rescue me.
30 Lumlaa neh Pathen ming te ka thangthen vetih amah te uemonah neh ka pomsang puei ni.
When God does that, I will sing as I praise God, and I will honor him by thanking him.
31 Te daengah ni BOEIPA ham vaito vaitotal ki cawn neh khomae aka rhak lakah a uemo eh.
My doing that will please Yahweh more than [sacrificing] oxen, more than offering him full-grown bulls.
32 Kodo rhoek loh a hmuh vetih a kohoe uh ni. Pathen aka tlap rhoek, nangmih thinko ah hing van saeh.
Oppressed/Afflicted people will see [that God has rescued me], and they will be glad. I want all of you who ask God [to help you] to be encouraged.
33 BOEIPA loh khodaeng rhoek te a yaak tih a thongtla rhoek khaw a hnoel moenih.
Yahweh listens to those who are needy; He does not ignore/forget those who are oppressed/imprisoned.
34 Vaan rhoek neh diklai loh, tuitunli rhoek neh a khuiah aka yuel boeih loh BOEIPA amah te thangthen uh saeh.
I desire that everything will praise God— everything that is in heaven and on earth, and all the creatures that are in the seas.
35 Pathen loh Zion a khang ni. Judah khopuei rhoek te a sak vaengah kho a sak vetih pahoi a pang uh ni.
God will rescue the people of Jerusalem [from their enemies], and he will rebuild the towns that are in Judah. His people will live there and [again] possess the land.
36 A sal rhoek kah a tiingan long khaw a pang uh vetih a ming aka lungnah rhoek loh a khuiah kho a sak uh.
The descendants of his people will inherit it, and those who love him will live there [safely].
