1 [Aka mawt ham BOEIPA sal David kah] Halang kah boekoek te ka thinko lungbuei khui kah olphong ah tah, a mik hmuh ah Pathen birhihnah khueh pawh.
“To the chief musician, by the servant of the Lord, by David.” Saith vice itself to the wicked—so I feel it within my heart— that he should have no dread of God before his eyes.
2 A mik neh amah kah thaesainah hmuh ham, ka thiinah tila amah te hoem.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes [too much] to find out his iniquity to hate it.
3 A ka dongkah ol tah boethae neh thailatnah la coeng tih, a then te cangbam hamla a toeng.
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
4 A thingkong dongah boethae te a moeh. Long then pawt ah pai tih a thae te hnawt pawh.
He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.
5 Aw BOEIPA na sitlohnah loh vaan duela a pha. Na uepomnah loh khomong a pha.
O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.
6 Na duengnah tah Pathen tlang bangla om tih na laitloeknah te dung tangkik. Hlang neh rhamsa he BOEIPA nang loh na khang.
Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.
7 Pathen namah kah sitlohnah he bahoeng a phu om tih hlang capa rhoek loh na phae hlip ah ying uh.
How precious is thy kindness, O God! And the children of men that seek shelter under the shadow of thy wings, —
8 Na im kah maehhloi dongah hmilhmal uh tih namah kah omthennah soklong tui te amih na tul.
These will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and of the stream of thy delights wilt thou give them to drink.
9 Namah taengah hingnah thunsih om tih, namah kah vangnah dongah vangnah ka hmuh uh.
For with thee is the source of life: in thy light shall we see light.
10 Nang aka ming rhoek taengah na sitlohnah hing sak lamtah lungbuei aka thuem taengah na duengnah om sak.
Draw down continuously thy kindness unto those that acknowledge thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Hoemnah kho loh kai m'pha boel saeh lamtah halang kut te kai taengah vikvawk boel saeh.
Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.
12 Boethae aka saii rhoek te pahoi cungku uh tih a bung uh dongah tlai uh thai pawt lah ko.
There are fallen the workers of wickedness: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
