1 A capa Absalom hmai lamkah a yong vaengah David kah tingtoeng Aw BOEIPA, badongah kai taengah aka tlai, ka rhal he muep a pung,
“A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.” How many, O LORD, are mine enemies! How many are they who rise up against me!
2 “Pathen lamkah khangnah tah anih ham moenih,” tila ka hinglu he muep a thui uh. (Selah)
How many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him with God”! (Pause)
3 Tedae, BOEIPA nang tah kai taengah photling, ka thangpomnah neh ka lu aka pomsang la na om.
But thou, O LORD! art my shield, My glory, and the lifter-up of my head.
4 BOEIPAte ka ol neh ka khue vaengah, a tlang cim lamloh kai n'doo, (Selah)
I call upon the LORD with my voice, And he heareth me from his holy hill. (Pause)
5 Kai he BOEIPA loh n'duel dongah, ka yalh tih ka ip dae koep ka haenghang,
I lay me down and sleep; I awake, for the LORD sustaineth me.
6 Ka pilnam a thawng a sang aka pai khoep te ka rhih mahpawh,
I will not fear the ten thousands of people Who on every side set themselves against me.
7 Aw ka BOEIPA Pathen thoo laeh! namah loh ka thunkha te boeih na ngawn tih, halang rhoek kah kamken no khaw na thuk dongah kai he n'khang laeh
Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For thou smitest the cheek of all my enemies; Thou breakest the teeth of the wicked.
8 Khangnah he BOEIPA taengkah ni. Nang kah yoethennah loh na pilnam soah om saeh. (Selah)
Deliverance cometh from the LORD: May thy blessing be with thy people! (Pause)
