1 David kah Ka lungbuei boeih neh nang kan uem vetih pathen rhoek hmaiah nang kan tingtoeng ni.

A Psalm for David, of Aggaeus and Zacharias. I will give thee thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; and I will sing psalms to thee before the angels; for thou hast heard all the words of my mouth.

2 Na bawkim cim taengla ka bakop vetih na sitlohnah neh na oltak dongah na ming te ka uem ni. A cungkuem soah na ming neh na olthui ni na pomsang.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and give thanks to thy name, on account of thy mercy and thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy holy name above every thing.

3 Kang khue khohnin vaengah khaw kai nan doo tih ka hinglu dongkah sarhi neh kai nan hloep.

In whatsoever day I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily; thou shalt abundantly provide me with thy power in my soul.

4 Na ol na ka a yaak uh coeng dongah diklai manghai boeih loh BOEIPA nang te n'uem uh saeh.

Let all the kings of the earth, o Lord, give thanks unto thee; for they have heard all the words of thy mouth.

5 BOEIPA kah thangpomnah tah khuet pai tih BOEIPA kah longpuei te khaw hlai uh pai saeh.

And let them sing in the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord.

6 BOEIPA tah sang ngawn cakhaw a tlarhoel te a hmuh dongah kopoek sang te khohla bangsang lamloh a hmat.

For the Lord is high, and [yet] regards the lowly; and he knows high things from afar off.

7 Citcai lakli ah ka pongpa cakhaw ka thunkha rhoek kah thintoek lamloh kai nan hing sak. Na kut na yueng tih na bantang kut neh kai nan khang.

Though I should walk in the midst of affliction, thou wilt quicken me; thou hast stretched forth thine hands against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand has saved me.

8 BOEIPA loh kai ham hma a khah ni. BOEIPA nang kah sitlohnah tah kumhal duela a cak dongah na kut dongkah bibi khaw na duem pawh.

O Lord, thou shalt recompense [them] on my behalf: thy mercy, O Lord, [endures] for ever: overlook not the works of thine hands.
