1 David kah Tingtoenglung Na sitlohnah neh tiktamnah te ka hlai vetih BOEIPA nang te kan tingtoeng ni.

A Psalm of David. I will sing to you, O Lord, of mercy and judgment; I will sing a psalm,

2 Longpuei cuemthuek la ka cangbam van eh. Me vaengah nim kai taengla na lo ve? Ka imkhui lung ah ka thinko kah thincaknah nen ni ka pongpa eh.

and I will be wise in a blameless way. When will you come to me? I walked in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.

3 Aka muen kah hno te ka mikhmuh ah ka khueh mahpawh. Vilvak vilvak aka saii khaw ka thiinah dongah kai taengla ha pangnael boel saeh.

I have not set before mine eyes any unlawful ting; I have hated transgressors.

4 Thinko voeldak nang kai taeng lamkah khoe uh tih boethae he ka ming moenih.

A perverse heart has not cleaved to me; I have not known an evil man, forasmuch as he turns away from me.

5 Yinhnuk ah a hui a thet, a thet tih a mikdai aka oek te khaw ka koeih pah ni. Te vaengah anih kah a thinko a mungkung ka naep puei mahpawh.

Him that privily speaks against his neighbor, him have I driven from [me]: he that is proud in look and insatiable in heart, —with him I have not eaten.

6 Khohmuen loh a tangnah rhoek te kamah taengah khosak sak ham ka mik ah om. Cuemthuek longpuei ah aka pongpa loh kai bi bi saeh.

Mine eyes [shall be] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walked in a perfect way, the same ministered to me.

7 Vuelvaeknah aka saii loh ka imkhui lung ah om boel saeh. Laithae aka thui khaw ka mikhmuh ah pai mahpawh.

The proud doer lived not in the midst of my house; the unjust speaker prospered not in my sight.

8 Boethae kah a saii boeih te BOEIPA khopuei khui lamkah thup ham atah khohmuen kah halang rhoek boeih te mincang ah bat ka biit ni.

Early did I kill all the sinners of the land, that I might destroy out of the city of the Lord all that work iniquity.
