1 Egypt khohmuen lamloh a coe uh phoeikaha kum bae hla lamhma vaengah, BOEIPA loh Moses te Sinai khosoek aha voek tih,
And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina in the second year after they had gone forth from the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying,
2 Israel ca rhoek loh amah khoning vaengah Yoom te saii saeh.
Speak, and let the children of Israel keep the passover in its season.
3 Tahae hlasae kah hnin hlai li hlaem vaengah saii uh. Te te amah khotue vaengah a khosing cungkuem neh a tiktamnah cungkuem bangla saii uh,” a ti nah.
On the fourteenth day of the first month at even, you shall keep it in its season; you shall keep it according to its law, and according to its ordinance.
4 Te dongah Yoom saii hamte Moses loh Israel carhoek taengaha thui pah.
And Moses ordered the children of Israel to sacrifice the passover,
5 Te dongah Yoom te lamhmacuek la hlasae hnin hlai li hlaem ah tah Sinai khosoek aha saii uh. A cungkuem dongah BOEIPA loh Mosesa uen bangla Israel ca rhoek loh a saii uh van.
on the fourteenth day of the first month in the wilderness of Sina, as the Lord appointed Moses, so the children of Israel did.
6 Hlang hinglu lamloh rhalawt la aka om hlangrhoek khaw om. Te dongah te khohnin ah Yoom saii uh thai pawh. Tedae amah khohnin ah Moses mikhmuh neh Aaron mikhmuh la tawn uh.
And there came men who were unclean by reason of a dead body, and they were not able to keep the passover on that day; and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.
7 Te kah hlang rhoek loh a taengah, “Kaimih he hlang kah hinglu kongah ka rhalawt uh. Balae tih amah khoning vaengah Israel ca lakli ah BOEIPA kah nawnnah te khuen pawt ham n'hloh uh?” a ti uh.
And those men said to Moses, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: shall we therefore fail to offer the gift to the Lord in its season in the midst of the children of Israel?
8 Moses loh amih te, “Om uh lamtah BOEIPA loh nangmih ham ng'uen te ka hnatung dae eh,” a ti nah.
And Moses said to them, stand there, and I will hear what charge the Lord will give concerning you.
9 Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh Moses tea voek tih,
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
10 “Israel carhoek te thui pah. Hlang pakhat he hinglu kongah rhalawtlaa om vaengah khaw, khola longpueng ah khaw, namah neh na caldilcahma loh thui pah lamtah BOEIPA kah Yoomte saii saeh.
Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Whatever man shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or on a journey far off, amongst you, or amongst your posterity; he shall then keep the passover to the Lord,
11 Te tea hla bae dongkah hnin hlai li hlaem ah saii uh saeh lamtah vaidamding te ankhaa neh hmaeh uh saeh.
in the second month, on the fourteenth day; in the evening they shall offer it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall they eat it.
12 Te te mincang hil paih uh boel saeh. A rhuh khaw paep sak uh boel saeh lamtah a cungkuem dongah Yoom kah khosing bangla saii uh saeh.
They shall not leave of it until the morrow, and they shall not break a bone of it; they shall sacrifice it according to the ordinance of the passover.
13 Tedae hlang te tuicil tih longpueng ah khaw om pawt dae Yoom saii hama toeng atah a pilnam lamloh a hinglu thup pah kangna saeh. Amah khoning ah BOEIPA kah nawnnah te a khuen pawt dongah te kah hlangte amah tholhnah amah loh phuei saeh.
And whatever man shall be clean, and is not far off on a journey, and shall fail to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people, because he has not offered the gift to the Lord in its season: that man shall bear his iniquity.
14 Nangmih taengah yinlai bakuep mai cakhaw Yoom kah khosing neh a rhimong bangla BOEIPA kah Yoomte saii saeh. A saii vaengah a khosingte nangmih ham neh yinlai ham khaw, khohmuen mupoe ham khaw pakhat la om saeh,” a ti nah.
And if there should come to you a stranger in your land, and should keep the passover to the Lord, he shall keep it according to the law of the passover and according to its ordinance: there shall be one law for you, both for the stranger, and for the native of the land.
15 Dungtlungima thoh hnin ah cingmai loh dungtlungim kah laipainah dap tea khuk. Te vaengah hlaemhmah lamloh mincang hil dungtlungim dongah hmai kah mueimae bangla tueng.
And in the day in which the tabernacle was pitched the cloud covered the tabernacle, the place of the testimony; and in the evening there was upon the tabernacle as the appearance of fire till the morning.
16 Cingmai loh phueiha khuk vaengah tah khoyinah hmai kah a mueimae la tueng.
So it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 Cingmaite dap so lamloh nong ham ka a ong phoei daengah ni Israel ca rhoek khaw a hlah uh. Tedae cingmai duem nah hmuen ah Israel carhoekkhaw pahoi rhaeh uh.
And when the cloud went up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel departed; and in whatever place the cloud rested, there the children of Israel encamped.
18 Israel ca rhoek te BOEIPA kah olka dongah cet uh tih BOEIPA olka dongah rhaeh uh. Cingmaite dungtlungim soaha duem hnin boeih ah amih khaw rhaeh uh.
The children of Israel shall encamp by the command of the Lord, and by the command of the Lord they shall remove: all the days in which the cloud overshadows the tabernacle, the children of Israel shall encamp. And whenever the cloud shall be drawn over the tabernacle for many days, then the children of Israel shall keep the charge of God, and they shall not remove.
19 Cingmai loh dungtlungim soah khohnina yeta uelh vaengah tah Israel ca rhoek loh BOEIPA kah a kuek tea ngaithuen uh tih cet uh voel pawh.
And it shall be, whenever the cloud overshadows the tabernacle a number of days, they shall encamp by the word of the Lord, and shall remove by the command of the Lord.
20 Cingmaite dungtlungim dongah khohnin kolkalh om cakhaw BOEIPA olka dongah rhaeh uh tih BOEIPA olka dongah cet uh.
And it shall come to pass, whenever the cloud shall remain from the evening till the morning, and in the morning the cloud shall go up, then shall they remove by day or by night.
21 Cingmaite hlaem lamloh mincang hil om tih mincang ah khaw cingmai te a thoeih daengah ni a caeh uh. Khothaih neh khoyinah khaw cingmaia caeh vaengah cet uh van.
When the cloud continues a full month overshadowing the tabernacle, the children of Israel shall encamp, and shall not depart.
22 Khohnin neh hla neh kum neh dungtlungim soah cingmaite uelh. A soaha om vaengah tah Israel ca rhoek te rhaeh uh tih cet uh pawh. Tedae a thoeih daengah ni a caeh uh.
For they shall depart by the command of the Lord: - they kept the charge of the Lord by the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
23 BOEIPA kah olka dongah rhaeh uh tih BOEIPA kah olka dongah cet uh. BOEIPA kah a kuek tah Moses kut dongkah BOEIPA olka tea ngaithuen uh.
