And it lifted up all the congregation and they gave forth voice their and they wept the people in the night that.
2 Israel ca pum he Moses taeng neh Aaron taengah nul uh. Te rhoi taengah rhaengpuei boeih loh, “Egypt kho ah n'duek uh mako, he khosoek ah nim n'duek mai mako.
And they grumbled on Moses and on Aaron all [the] people of Israel and they said to them all the congregation if we had died in [the] land of Egypt or in the wilderness this if we had died.
3 cunghang dongah cungku ham he BOEIPA loh balae tih he khohmuen la mamih n'khuen. Mamih yuu ca he maeh la om uh pawn ni. Egypt la mael he mamih ham then ngai pawt nim? a Boeipa loh mamih he hela ingkhueh uh? Egypt ramla koep mael he then ngai mah pawt a? Moses neh Aaron taengah ati nauh.
And why? [is] Yahweh bringing us into the land this to fall by the sword wives our and little one[s] our they will become plunder ¿ not good for us [is] to return Egypt towards.
4 Te vaengah hlang loh a manuca taengah, “A lu pakhat n'tuek uh vetih Egypt la m'mael uh mako,” a ti uh.
And they said each to brother his let us appoint a leader and let us return Egypt towards.
5 Te vaengah Moses neh Aaron tah Israel ca rhaengpuei hlangping boeih kah mikhmuh ah a maelhmai tea buenglueng rhoi.
And he fell Moses and Aaron on faces their before all [the] assembly of [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel.
6 Tedae khohmuen aka yaam khuikah Nun capa Joshua neh Jephunneh capa Kaleb long tah a himbai te a phen rhoi.
And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh one of those [who] spied out the land they tore clothes their.
7 Te phoeiah Israel ca rhaengpuei boeih tea thui rhoi tih, “Te khohmuen ka paan uh tih ka yaam vaengah khohmuen khaw bahoeng, bahoeng then.
And they said to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel saying the land which we passed in it to spy out it [is] good the land very very.
8 BOEIPA he mamih taengah hmae tih mamih he te khohmuen la m'pawk sak vaengah suktui neh khoitui aka long khohmuen te mamih taengah m'paek bitni.
If he delights in us Yahweh and he will bring us into the land this and he will give it to us a land which it [is] flowing of milk and honey.
9 BOEIPA bueng te tloelh uh boeh, nangmih loh khohmuen kah pilnam te rhih uh boeh. Amih kah hlipkhupte amih taeng lamloh nong coeng tih amihte mamih kah buh la om coeng. Tedae BOEIPA he mamih taengah a om dongah amihte rhih uh boeh,” a ti rhoi.
Only against Yahweh may not you rebel and you may not you fear [the] people of the land for [will be] bread our they it has departed shade their from over them and Yahweh [is] with us may not you fear them.
10 Te vaengah rhaengpuei pum loh amih rhoi te lungto neh dae ham cai uh. Tedae BOEIPA kah thangpomnah tah tingtunnah dap kah Israel ca boeih taengaha phoe pah.
And they said all the congregation to stone them with stones and [the] glory of Yahweh it appeared at [the] tent of meeting to all [the] people of Israel.
11 Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh Moses te, “He pilnam loh kai he mevaeng hil n'tlaitlaek uh vetih a khui ah miknoek cungkuem ka saii lalah mevaeng hil nim kai he n'tangnah uh pawtve.
And he said Yahweh to Moses until when? will they spurn me the people this and until when? not will they believe in me with all the signs which I did in midst its.
12 Amihte duektahaw neh ka ngawn vetih ka haek ni. Tedae nang te namtom tanglue la kang khueh vetih amih lakahna pilnu ngai ni,” a ti nah.
I will strike it with pestilence and I will dispossess it and I may make you a nation great and mighty more than it.
13 Tedae Moses loh BOEIPA taengah, “A khui lamloh na thadueng neh he pilnamna khuen te Egypt loh ya saeh.
And he said Moses to Yahweh and they will hear Egypt that you brought up by strength your the people this from midst its.
14 He khohmuen kah khosarhoek taengah thui uh saeh. He pilnam lakli ah BOEIPA namah na om tea yaak uh tih BOEIPA namah taengah mik neh mik khaw hmu uh rhoi coeng. Nang kah cingmai khaw amih soah pai. Amih mikhmuh ah khothaih kah cingmai tung neh khoyinah hmai tung la na caeh pah.
And they will say to [the] inhabitant[s] of the land this they have heard that you O Yahweh [are] in [the] midst of the people this who eye in eye he was seen - you O Yahweh and cloud your [is] standing over them and in a pillar of cloud you [are] going before them by day and in a pillar of fire night.
15 He pilnam he hlang pakhat banglana duek sak koinih nang olthanga yaak vaengah namtomloh a thui bal ni.
And you will put to death the people this like a person one and they will say the nations which they have heard report your saying.
16 Te vaengah, “Amih hama toemngam pah khohmuen la BOEIPA loh he pilnam he khuen hama coeng pawt dongah amihte khosoek aha ngawn,” a ti uh ni.
Because not was able Yahweh to bring the people this into the land which he swore to them and he has slaughtered them in the wilderness.
17 Thui hamna ti vanbangla ka Boeipa kah thaduengte pomsang mai laeh saeh.
And therefore may it be great please [the] power of [the] Lord just as you have spoken saying.
18 BOEIPA tah thintoeka ueh tih sitlohnah khaw puh. Thaesainah neh boekoek khaw a phueih pah dae pa rhoek kathaesainahte carhoek soah khongthum, khongli duelaa cawhtih hmil rhoe hmil pawh.
Yahweh [is] long of anger and great of covenant loyalty forgiving iniquity and transgression and certainly not he will leave unpunished visiting [the] iniquity of parents on [the] children on a third generation and on a fourth generation.
19 Na sitlohnah dongkah boeilennah neh Egypt lamloh tahae hil pilnamna khuen bangla he pilnam kathaesainah he khodawkngai mai,” a ti nah.
Forgive please [the] iniquity of the people this according to [the] greatness of covenant loyalty your and just as you have forgiven the people this from Egypt and until now.
20 Te dongah BOEIPA loh, “Nang ol bangla khodawk ka ngai coeng.
And he said Yahweh I have forgiven [them] according to word your.
21 Kai ka hingnah la ka om dongah BOEIPA kah thangpomnah he diklai pumah bae.
And but [by] [the] life of me so may be filled [with the] glory of Yahweh all the earth.
22 Egypt neh khosoek ah ka tueng sak kamah kah thangpomnah neh ka miknoek te hlang boeih loh a hmuh. Tedae kai he voei rha khaw n'noemcai uh tih kai ol he hnatun uh pawh.
For all the men who saw glory my and signs my which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness and they have put to [the] test me this ten times and not they have listened to voice my.
23 A naparhoek taengah ka toemngam pah khohmuen te hmu uh pawt vetih kai aka tlaitlaek boeih loh te hmu mahpawh.
If they will see the land which I swore to ancestors their and all [those who] have spurned me not they will see it.
24 Ka sal Kaleb tah a khuiah mueihla tloea om tih kai hnukah hnawn uh. Te dongah anih te a pawk ham koi khohmuen la pahoi ka khuen vetih a tiingan loh te te a pang ni.
And servant my Caleb consequence it has been a spirit another with him and he has filled after me and I will bring him into the land where he went there and offspring his it will take possession of it.
25 Kol kah khosa Amalek neh Kanaante thangvuenah mael laeh saeh lamtah nangmih ham khosoek kah carhaek tuipuei longpueite paan uh laeh,” a ti nah.
And the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [was] dwelling in the valley[s] tomorrow turn and set out for yourselves the wilderness [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s].
26 Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh Moses neh Aaron tea voek tih,
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
27 Boethae he rhaengpuei ham me hil nim kai taengah a nul uh ve? Amih Israel ca rhoek kah kohuetnah loh kai taengaha nul uh khaw ka yaak coeng.
Until when? to the congregation evil this which they [are] grumbling on me [the] grumblings of [the] people of Israel which they [are] grumbling on me I have heard.
28 Kai hingnah BOEIPA kah olphong he amih taengah thui pah. Kai hna ahna thui bangla nangmih taengah ka saii van mahpawt nim?
Say to them [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of Yahweh if not just as you have spoken in ears my so I will do to you.
29 Na hlangmi boeih khuiah capa kum kul lamloha so hang na soep thil boeih khaw kai taengahna nul vanbangla na rhokte he khosoek ah yalh ni.
In the wilderness this they will fall corpses your and all enrolled [men] your of all number your from a son of twenty year[s] and up-wards who you have grumbled on me.
30 A khuiah nangmih khosak sak ham ka kut ka phuel coeng dae Jephunneh capa Kaleb neh Nun capa Joshua phoeiah tah te khohmuen la nangmihna kun uh mahpawh.
If you you will go into the land which I lifted up hand my to cause to dwell you in it that except Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh and Joshua [the] son of Nun.
31 Na carhoek khaw maeh la om pawnko na ti uh cakhaw amih te a pawk puei vetih khohmuenna hnawt uh te khaw a ming uh bitni.
And little one[s] your who you said plunder he will become and I will bring them and they will know the land which you have rejected it.
32 Tedae nangmih tah namamih rhokte he khosoek ah ni a yalh eh.
And corpses your you they will fall in the wilderness this.
33 Na ca rhoek te khosoek ah boiva aka dawn la kum likip om uh vetih na rhoka cing hil khosoek ah nangmih kah pumyoihnah tea phueih uh ni.
And children your they will be shepherds in the wilderness forty year[s] and they will bear prostitution your until are finished corpses your in the wilderness.
34 Khohnin la hnin likip khuiah khohmuenna yaam uh vaengkah khohnin tarhing aha kum dongah khaw hnin at te kum khat la om ni. Nangmih kathaesainah te kum sawmlina phueih uh vaengah kai kah noihhainah tena ming uh bitni.
By [the] number of the days which you spied out the land forty day[s] a day for the year a day for the year you will bear iniquities your forty year[s] and you will know opposition my.
35 Kai BOEIPA loh ka thui coeng atah he boethae rhaengpuei boeih taengah ka saii het mahpawt nim. Kai aka tuentah rhoek te he khosoek ah khawk uh tih pahoi duek uh ni,” a ti nah.
I Yahweh I have spoken if not - this I will do to all the congregation evil this which has gathered on me in the wilderness this they will meet their end and there they will die.
36 Te dongah Moses loh khohmuen yaam hama tueih hlanga mael uh vaengah tah rhaengpuei boeih te a taengah rhaeh la rhaeh uh tih khohmuen kawngte theetnahlaa khuen.
And the men whom he sent Moses to spy out the land and they returned (and they caused to grumble *Q(K)*) on him all the congregation by bringing out a bad report on the land.
37 Khohmuen kah theetnah aka khuen hlang rhoek tah BOEIPA mikhmuh kah lucik dongaha thae la duek uh.
And they died the men [who] brought out [the] unfavorable report of the land evil by plague before Yahweh.
38 Tedae khohmuen yaam ham aka cet hlang rhoek khui lamloh Nun capa Joshua neh Jephunneh capa Kaleb tah hing.
And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh they lived of the men those who went to spy out the land.
39 Moses loh he ol he Israel ca boeih taengaha thui vaengah pilnam bung bung nguekcoi uh.
And he spoke Moses the words these to all [the] people of Israel and they mourned the people exceedingly.
40 Mincang ah thoo uh tih tlang som la luei uh. “Amah dae la he, n'tholh uh dongah BOEIPA kah a thui hmuen la cet uh pawn sih,” a ti uh.
And they rose early in the morning and they went up to [the] top of the hill country saying here [are] we and we will go up to the place which he said Yahweh that we have sinned.
41 Te vaengah Moses loh, “Balae tih BOEIPA olka te na poe uh, te thaihtak he mahpawh.
And he said Moses why? this [are] you transgressing [the] mouth of Yahweh and it not it will succeed.
42 Cet uh boeh, nangmih khui ah BOEIPAaom moenih. Na thunkharhoek mikhmuh ahna yawk uh mahpawt nim?
May not you go up for not Yahweh [will be] in midst your and not you will be defeated before enemies your.
43 Nangmih mikhmuh ah Amalek neh Kanaan om lah ko. BOEIPA hnuk lamlohna mael uh dongah cunghang nehna cungku uh ni. Nangmih taengah BOEIPA om mahpawh,” a ti nah.
For the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [are] there before you and you will fall by the sword for since you have turned back from after Yahweh and not he will be Yahweh with you.
44 Te vaengah tlang som la luei ham calak uh dae BOEIPA kah paipi thingkawng neh Moses tah rhaehhmuen khui lamloh nong pawh.
And they presumed to go up to [the] top of the hill country and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh and Moses not they departed from [the] midst of the camp.
45 Tlang kah khosa Amalek neh Kanaan te ha suntla vaengah tah Amih te a ngawn uh tih Hormah duela amih te a phop uh.
And he came down the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in the hill country that and they struck them and they scattered them to Hormah.
