Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.

They said, “Has the LORD indeed spoken only with Moses? Has not he spoken also with us?” And the LORD heard it.

Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth.
4 Te dongah BOEIPA loh Moses taeng neh Aaron taengah khaw Miriam taengah khaw, “Nangmih pathumte tingtunnah dap la ha lo uh,” thaenga tinah tih a pathum la cet uh.
The LORD spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!” The three of them came out.

The LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward.

He said, “Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
7 Ka sal Moses tah te moenih, ka imkhui pum ah anih tah a uepom ta.
My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
8 Ka ka dongkah olka te anih taengah ka thui vaengah a hmuethma khaw olkael a om moenih. BOEIPA muei a paelki vaengah he balae tih ka sal Moses taengah cal ham khaw na rhih pawh?” a ti nah.
With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see the LORD’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”
9 BOEIPA kah thintoekte amih rhoi taengah sai tih cet.
The LORD’s anger burned against them; and he departed.
10 Te phoeiah cingmai te dap so lamloh nong. Te vaengah Miriamte vuelsong bangla pahuk tih Aaronte Miriam taenglaa mael vaengah tarha ana pahuk coeng.
The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.
11 Aaron loh Moses te, “Aw ka boeipa, kaimih rhoi soah tholh han dueh mai boeh, ka nga rhoi tih ka tholh oeh te.
Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please do not count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.
12 A manu bung lamloh a thoeng vaengah a saa rhakthuema caak pah vaengkaha duek bangla om mai boel saeh,” a ti nah.
Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
13 Te dongah Moseste BOEIPA taengah pang tih, “Pathen aw anih he hoeih sak mai laeh,” a ti nah.
Moses cried to the LORD, saying, “Heal her, God, I beg you!”
14 BOEIPA loh Moses te, “A napa loh a maelhmai aha timthoeihlaa timthoeih coeng atah hnin rhiha hmaithae mahpawt nim? Rhaehhmuen lamloh vongvoel ah hnin rhih om saeh lamtah khue mai saeh,” a ti nah.
The LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, should not she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”
15 Te dongah Miriamte rhaehhmuen vongvoel ah hnin rhiha khoh uh tih Miriama mael duela pilnam khaw cet pawh.
Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people did not travel until Miriam was brought in again.
16 Te phoeiah pilnamte Hazeroth lamloh cet tih Paran khosoek ah rhaeh uh.
Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
