Maikah 1
1 BOEIPA ol he Judah manghai Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah tue vaengah Morasthite Maikah taengla cet. Te te Samaria neh Jerusalem ham ni a hmuh.
The word of the Lord that came to Micah the Morashthite in the days of Jotham, Achaz, [and] Hezekiah, the kings of Judah, which he foresaw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
2 Pilnam loh a cungkuem te hnatun saeh. Diklai neh a cungkuem loh hnatung saeh. Ka Boeipa Yahovah tah nangmih taengah om saeh. Ka Boeipa tah a hmuencim bawkim lamloh laipai la om coeng.
Hear, ye people, altogether; listen, O earth, with all that filleth it: and let the Lord Eternal be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
3 BOEIPA tah amah tolhmuen lamloh ha pai ngawn coeng ne. Te phoeiah suntla tih diklai hmuensang, hmuensang te a cawt.
For, behold, the Lord cometh forth out of his residence; and he will come down, and will step along upon the high places of the earth.
4 Tlang rhoek he a yung duela yut uh coeng. Tuikol rhoek te hmai hmai kah khoirhat bangla phih uh tih tui bangla singling ah long.
And the mountains shall melt beneath him, and the valleys shall cleave in twain, like wax [melteth] before the fire, like water poured out on a declivity.
5 Te boeih te Jakob kah boekoeknah neh Israel imkhui kah tholhnah dongah ni. Jakob kah boekoeknah te Samaria moenih a? Judah kah hmuensang te Jerusalem moenih a?
For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. Who caused the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and who caused the high-places of Judah? is it not Jerusalem?
6 Te dongah Samaria te khohmuen lairhok la, misurdum kah thingling la ka khueh ni. A lungto te kolrhawk la ka lun pah vetih a khoengim te ka yoe pah ni.
Therefore will I change Samaria into stone-heaps on the field, into vineyard plantations: and I will hurl down into the valley her stones, and her foundations will I lay open.
7 A mueidaep boeih te a phop uh vetih a paang boeih te hmai ah a hoeh uh ni. A muei boeih te khopong la ka khueh ni. Pumyoih paang te coi sitoe cakhaw pumyoih paang la mael ni.
And all her graven images shall he beaten to pieces, and all her wages of sin shall be burnt with the fire, and all her idols will I make desolate; for from harlot's wages she gathered them, and for harlot's wages shall they be used again.
8 He ham he ka rhaengsae vetih ka rhung ni. Khotling neh pumtling la ka van ni. Pongui bangla rhaengsaelung ka khueh vetih, tuirhuk vanu bangla nguekcoinah ka khueh ni.
For this will I lament and wail; I will go confused and naked: I will make a lament like the crocodiles, and mourning like the ostriches.
9 A boengha te rhawp coeng tih Judah taengla a caeh dongah Jerusalem hil ka pilnam kah vongka te a pha.
For her wounds arc incurable; for [the evil] is come even unto Judah; [the enemy] hath reached as far as the gate of my people, even up to Jerusalem.
10 Gath ah khaw puen boeh, Bethophrah ah rhap rhoe rhap uh boeh. Laipi dongah bol la bol nawn.
Tell it not at Gath, weep ye not loudly [there]: in Bethle'aphrah roll thyself in the dust.
11 Saphir khosa rhoek nang khaw yahpohnah neh yangyal la nong laeh. Zaanan khosa khaw cet mahpawh. Bethezel kah rhaengsaelung loh a tungduelnah te nang lamloh a loh coeng.
Pass ye away, ye inhabitants of Shaphir, having your shame laid bare: the inhabitress of Zaanan cometh not forth [any more]; the mourning of Beth-haezel taketh from you its halting place.
12 BOEIPA taeng lamkah yoethaenah loh Jerusalem vongka duela a suntlak dongah Maroth khosa rhoek tah hnothen ham te kilkul coeng.
For the inhabitress of Maroth is grieved for the [lost] good; because evil came down from the Lord unto the gate of Jerusalem.
13 Lakhish khosa rhoek loh marhang te leng dongah buen laeh. Te tah Zion nu kah tholhnah a moenah ni. Na khuiah Israel kah boekoeknah ni a tueng rhoe.
Bind the chariot to the swift horses, O inhabitress of Lachish: the beginning of sin was she to the daughter of Zion; for in thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 Te dongah Israel manghai rhoek taengah phokhapnah la Akhzib imkhui kah Moreshethkath te maan na paek ni.
Therefore shalt thou have to give presents to Moresheth-gath: the houses of Achzib shall become a deception to the kings of Israel.
15 Mareshah khosa nang aka haek te koep kang khuen vetih Israel kah thangpomnah loh Adullam duela a pha ni.
Yet will I bring an [enemy as] heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: as far as 'Adullam shall withdraw the glory of Israel.
16 Na omthenbawnnah camoe rhoek te kuet lamtah vok pah laeh. Na lungawng khaw atha bangla ka sak. Nang taeng lamloh a poelyoe uh hae ni.
Make thyself bald, and cut off thy hair for the children of thy delight; enlarge thy baldness like the eagle; because they are gone into exile from thee.
