The beginning of the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of God.

As it is written in the Prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:
3 Khosoek ah pang ol loh, “Boeipa kah longpuei te rhoekbah uh'a caehlong te a dueng la saii uh,” a ti.
the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”
4 Johan tah khosoek ah aka nuem la om tih tholh khodawkngainah dongah yutnah baptisma a kawng thui.
Yochanan came immersing in the wilderness and proclaiming the immersion of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
5 Te dongah Judah kho boeih neh Jerusalem pum loh anih taengla khong uh. Te vaengah a tholhnah te a phong uh tih Jordan tuiva ah Johan loh a nuem.
All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were immersed by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
6 Te vaengah aka om Johan loh kalauk mul a bai tih, a pumpu ah maehpho cihin a naak tih tangboeng neh kohong khoitui te a caak.
Yochanan was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
7 A hoe vaengah, “Kai lakah aka len tah kai hnukah ha pawk. A taengah ka buluk tih a khokhom rhui hlam ham pataeng ka koih pawh.
He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.

I immersed you in water, but he will immerse you in the Holy Spirit.”
9 Tekah khohnin a pha vaengah Jesuh khaw Galilee kah Nazareth lamkah halo tih, Jordan ah Johan loh a nuem.
In those days, Yeshua came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by Yochanan in the Jordan.
10 Tui khui lamkah koe a thoh vaengah vaan te ong uh tih Mueihla te vahu bangla a soah a rhum te a hmuh.
Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11 Te vaengah vaan lamkah ol ha thoeng tih, “Nang tah Capa ka thintlo la na om, nang taengah ka lungtlun,” a ti.
A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.

He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
14 Tedae Johan te a voeih uh phoeiah Jesuh tah Galilee la pawk. Te vaengah Pathen kah olthangthen te a hoe.
Now after Yochanan was taken into custody, Yeshua came into Galilee, proclaiming the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
15 Te vaengah, “A tue te soep coeng tih Pathen ram tah yoei coeng, yut uh lamtah olthangthen te tangnah uh laeh,” a ti.
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
16 Tedae Galilee tuili kaengah a caeh vaengah, Simon neh Simon mana Andrew tah tuihoi la om rhoi tih tuili ah lawk ana voeih rhoi te a hmuh.
Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 Te dongah Jesuh loh amih rhoi te, “Kai hnukah bang rhoi lamtah nangmih rhoi te hlang aka tu tuihoi la om ham kang khueh eh?,” a ti nah.
Yeshua said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
18 Te dongah lawk na te pak a hlah rhoi tih Jesuh te a vai rhoi.
Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
19 Tedae hawt a caeh vaengah Zebedee capa James neh a mana Johan te a hmuh. Te vaengah amih rhoi te lawng khuiah lawk a bo rhoi.
Going on a little further from there, he saw Jacob the son of Zebedee, and Yochanan his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
20 Te dongah amih rhoi te pahoi a khue hatah a napa Zebedee neh lawng khuiah a kutloh rhoek te pak a hlah tih amah hnukah cet rhoi.
Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
21 Kapernaum la a kun uh vaengkah Sabbath ah tah tunim la tlek kun tih a thuituen.
They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
22 Te vaengah anih kah thuituennah soah let uh. Amih a thuituen te saithainah aka khueh la om tih cadaek rhoek bangla om pawh.
They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Amih kah tunim ah hlang pakhat tah mueihla thae neh lawt om.
Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
24 Te vaengah pang tih, “Nazareth Jesuh kaimih neh nang te mebang tloe lae? Kaimih he poci sak ham nim na pawk? Nang unim ti khaw kam ming ta, Pathen kah hlangcim la,” a ti nah.
saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Yeshua, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
25 Tedae Jesuh loh anih te a ho tih, “Paa lamtah anih lamloh cet laeh,” a ti nah.
Yeshua rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
26 Te vaengah mueihla thae loh anih te a suvaih sak. Te phoeiah ol a len la pang tih anih lamloh coe.
The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 Te vaengah boeih a ngaihmang uh. Te dongah amamih te oelh uh thae tih, “Metlam nim he? Saithainah neh thuituennah a thai loh, mueihla thae rhoek pataeng a tueih vaengah a ol a ngai uh,” a ti uh.
They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
28 Te dongah a olthang tah Galilee pingpang khotomrhali boeih ah cet khonghak.
The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
29 Te phoeiah tunim lamloh tlek cet uh tih James neh Johan khaw, Simon neh Andrew im la pawk uh.
Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with Jacob and Yochanan.
30 Tedae Simon masae tah tlo tih yalh. Te dongah anih ham te Jesuh taengah tlek a thui uh.
Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
31 Te dongah a paan tih a kut te a tuuk pah. Anih te a thoh vaengah anih te satloh loh a hlah tih amih te a kok.
He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.
32 Hlaem a pha tih khomik a tlak vaengah tloh aka khueh rhoek neh rhaithae aka kaem boeih te Jesuh taengla a khuen uh.
At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
33 Te vaengah kho pum ah aka om te thohka ah tingtun uh.
All the city was gathered together at the door.
34 Te phoeiah tlohtat soeprhep aka khueh hlangtlo muep a hoeih sak. Rhaithae khaw muep a haek. Tedae amah te aming uh dongah rhaithae rhoek te cal sak pawh.
He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
35 Tedae khohmuep aih. ah yueya thoo tih aka nong te khosoek hmuen la cet tih thangthui.
Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
36 Te vaengah Simon neh a taengkah rhoek loh Jesuh hnuk a dawn uh.
Simon and those who were with him searched for him.
37 Tedae Jesuh te a hmuh uh vaengah a taengah, “Nang te boeih n'toem,” a ti na uh.
They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
38 Te vaengah amih te, “Kho om nah takuem ah cet uh sih lamtah, teah khawka hoeeh. Te hamni ka lo rhoe,” a ti nah.
He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may proclaim there also, because I came out for this reason.”
39 Te dongah Galilee pum ah cet tih amih kah tunim ah olthangthen a hoe phoeiah rhaithae te a vai.
He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, proclaiming and casting out demons.
40 Te vaengah, hmaibae pakhat tah anih taengah pawk tih a hloep phoeiah a cungkueng thil. Te phoeiah Jesuh te, “Boeipa na ngaih koinih kai he nan cim sak thai ni,” a ti nah.
A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
41 Te vaengah a thinphat tih a kut te a yueng. Anih te a taek tih, “Ka ngaih ta, cim saeh,” a ti nah.
Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
42 Te vaengah hmaibae tah anih lamloh pahoi nong tih cim.
When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.
43 Te phoeiah thanueih ah anih te tlek a tueih.
He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,
44 Tedae anih te, “Na thui loeng loeng pawt ham ngaithuen. Namah cet lamtah khosoih na tueng phoeiah na cimcaihnah dongah Moses loh a uen te tah nawn pah. Te tew amih taengah paipueinah la om saeh,” a ti nah.
and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
45 Tedae a caeh neh a tong tih pung a hoe dongah ol te yilhcet. Te dongah Jesuh tah kho khuiah loloh kun thai voel pawh. Te phoeiah tah khosoek hmuen ah vawl om dae anih te a taengvai lamloh a paan uh.
But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Yeshua could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
