< Marku 2 >
1 Khohnin a di phoeiah Kapernaum la koep kun tih im ah om tila a yaak.
And again He having come into Capernaum during those days; and it was heard that He was in the house.
2 Te dongah muep tingtun uh tih thohka pataeng te hoeng pawh. Te vaengah amih ham ol a thui pah.
And immediately many were assembled together, so that there was no room, even at the door; and He was speaking the word to them.
3 Te vaengah aka khawn te pali loh Jesuh taengla khuen ham a koh uh tih ha pawk uh.
And they come to Him, carrying a paralytic, borne by four.
4 Tedae hlangping kongah a taengla a khuen thai pawt dongah a om nah tueng kah imphu te a hlih uh. Te phoeiah a ong uh tih aka khawn te phakdoeng dongah a yalh doela a hlak uh.
And not being able to come near Him on account of the crowd, they opened the roof where He was: and having lifted it up, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5 Jesuh loh amih kah tangnah te a hmuh vaengah aka khawn te, “Ka ca, tholhnah loh nang n'hlah coeng,” a ti nah.
And Jesus seeing their faith says to the paralytic, Child, thy sins are forgiven thee.
6 Tedae cadaek khuikah hlangvang aka om rhoek tah pahoi ngol uh tih a thinko khuikah,
And certain ones of the scribes were sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 “Balae tih anih hetla a cal, a soehsal coeng he ta. Pathen pakhat long pawt atah tholhnah aka hlah thai te unim?” tila a poek uh.
Why does He speak blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins, except the one God?
8 A khuiah te tla a poek uh te Jesuh loh a mueihla neh tlek a ming. Te dongah amih te, “Balae tih na thinko ah he he na poek uh?”
And Jesus immediately knowing in His spirit that they are thus reasoning among themselves, said to them, Why do you thus reason in your hearts?
9 Aka khawn te, ‘Tholhnah loh nang n'hlah coeng, ‘ti nah ham neh, ‘Thoo lamtah na phakdoeng te kawt lamtah cet, ‘ti nah ham te melae yoeikoekla aka om?
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and take thy bed, and walk about?
10 Te daengah ni, Hlang capa loh diklai hmanah tholhnah te hlah ham saithainah a khueh te na ming uh eh,” a ti nah.
But in order that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins
11 Aka khawn te, “Namahtaengah kan thui, thoo, na phakdoeng te kawt lamtah namah im la cet laeh,” a ti nah.
(He says to the paralytic), I say unto thee, Arise, take thy bed, and go into thy house.
12 Te vaengah thoo tih hlang boeih hmaiah phakdoeng te pahoi a loh tih cet. Te dongah boeih limlum uh tih Pathen te thangpom ham, “He tlam he m'hmuh noek moenih,” a ti uh.
And he arose immediately, and having taken the bed, went out before them all. So that all were astonished, and glorified God, saying, Never have we seen it after this sort.
13 Tuili kaengah koep a caeh vaengah hlangping loh a taengla boeih ha pawh uh tih amih te a thuituen.
And He came out again by the sea; and the whole multitude came to Him, and He was teaching them.
14 A khum phai vaengah, mangmu doenah ah aka ngol Alphaeus capa Levi te a hmuh tih, “Kai m'vai lah,” a ti nah. Te dongah thoo tih Jesuh hnuk a vai.
And passing along, he saw Levi, the son of Alpheus sitting at the toll, and says to him, Follow me. And rising up, he followed Him.
15 Levi im ah om tih buh a vael. Te vaengah mangmucoi rhoek neh hlangtholh rhoek tah Jesuh neh a hnukbang rhoek taengah muep ngol uh. Te phoeiah anih aka vai rhoek khaw muep om uh.
And it came to pass, while He was sitting at the table in his house, and many publicans and sinners were sitting along with Jesus and his disciples: for they were many, and they followed Him.
16 hlangtholh rhoek neh mangmucoi rhoek taengah a caak te Pharisee rhoek kah cadaek rhoek loh a hmuh uh vaengah a hnukbang rhoek taengah, “Mangmucoi rhoek neh hlangtholh rhoek taengah khaw a caak mai ke,” a ti nauh.
And the scribes and Pharisees, seeing Him eating with the publicans and sinners, were saying to His disciples, Why does He eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
17 Jesuh loh a yaak vaengah amih te, “Sading loh siboei ngoe pawt tih, tloh aka khueh long ni a ngoe. Aka dueng rhoek khue ham pawt tih hlangtholh rhoek ham ni ka pawk,” a ti nah.
Jesus hearing, says to them, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
18 Johan kah hnukbang rhoek neh caak aka yaeh Pharisee rhoek tah ha pawk uh. Te vaengah cet uh tih Jesuh taengah, “Balae tih Johan kah hnukbang rhoek neh Pharisee rhoek kah hnukbang rhoek tah a yaeh uh tih na hnukbang rhoek tah a yaeh uh pawh,” a ti uh.
The disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting. And they come and say to Him; Wherefore do the disciples of John and the Pharisees fast, and thy disciples do not fast?
19 Jesuh loh amih te, “Yulueihmuen kah paca boeina a om vaengah tah coeng mahpawh. Yulokung loh amih taengah a om vaengah a yaeh aya? Amih te yulokung neh a om uh tue khuiah yaeh uh thai mahpawh.
And Jesus said to them, Whether are the sons of the bride-chamber able to fast while the bridegroom is with them? So long a time as they have with them the bridegroom they are not able to fast.
20 Tedae khohnin a pai vaengah yulokung tah amih taeng lamkah loh a khue vetih te vaeng khohnin ah a yaeh uh bitni.
But the days will come, when the bridegroom must be taken from them, and then they will fast in that day.
21 Hni pen a cuemsok te himbai rhuem soah a hui moenih. Te pawt koinih a bonah rhuem te a thai loh a sol tih a pawnnah te a thae om.
No one putteth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: lest the new take its fullness from the old, and the rent is made worse.
22 Te phoeiah misurtui noe te tuitang rhuem khuiah a than uh moenih. Te pawt koinih misurtui loh tuitang te a va vetih, misurtui khaw, tuitang khaw poci ni. Te dongah misurtui noe te tuitang a thai khuiah ni a khueh,” a ti nah.
No one puts new wine in old bottles: lest the new wine shall break the bottles, and the wine is poured out, and the bottles shall perish: but the new wine is put in new bottles.
23 Sabbath a pha vaengah Jesuh te canghli longah van. Te vaengah a hnukbang rhoek loh longpuei ah cangvuei koe a yun uh.
And it came to pass, that He was traveling through the corn-fields on the Sabbath-day; and His disciples began to make the journey plucking the ears.
24 Te vaengah Pharisee rhoek loh Jesuh taengah, “Sabbath ah saii tueng pawt te balae tih a saii ke,” a ti nauh.
And the Pharisees continued to say to Him, Behold what they are doing on the Sabbath, which is not lawful.
25 Te dongah amih te, “David loh a saii te na tae uh mahnim? Amah neh a taengkah rhoek loh a ngoe tih a bungpong uh vaengkah te.
And He said to them, Have ye not read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, and those with him?
26 Khosoihham Abiathar tue vaengah Pathen im la kun tih rhungkung buh a caak te ta. Te te khosoih pawt atah a caak tueng moenih. Tedae a taengah aka om rhoek pataeng a paek pueng,” a ti nah.
How he entered into the house of God, in the days of Abiathar, the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priest, and he gave it to those being with him?
27 Te phoeiah amih te, “Sabbath tah hlang ham a ni a saii, tedae hlang tah Sabbath ham moenih.
And He said to them, The Sabbath was made for the sake of man, and not man for the sake of the Sabbath.
28 Te dongah Hlang Capa tah Sabbath boeipa la om pataeng,” a ti nah.
So the Son of man is also Lord of the Sabbath.
