< Luka 21 >

1 A dan vaengah kuirhang rhoek kah a kutdoe tangkabu khuila a sang uh te a hmuh.
And Jesus looked upon the rich, who cast their oblations into the treasury.
2 Te vaengah khodaeng nuhmai pakhat loh mucih panit a sang te a hmuh bal.
And he saw also a certain poor widow, who cast in two mites.
3 Te dongah, “Nangmih taengah rhep kan thui, hekah nuhmai khodaeng loh amih boeih lakah muep a sang coeng.
And he said: Truly I say to you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than any one.
4 Amih tah amamih kah a coih te kutdoe la boeih a sang uh. Anih long tah a vawtthoeknah khui lamkah a khosaknah ham a khueh te boeih a sang coeng,” a ti nah.
For all they, from what was superfluous to them, have cast into the receptacle of oblations to God; but she, from her penury, hath cast in all that she possessed.
5 Bawkim te lungto khaw then tih nawnnah neh a thoeihcam coeng bet a ti uh.
And when some spoke of the temple, as adorned with goodly stones and oblations, Jesus said to them:
6 “Hekah he na hmuh uh dae khohnin ha pawk ni. Te vaengah a phil pawt te lungto pakhat dongah lungto pakhat khaw hmaai mahpawh,” a ti nah.
As for these things, on which ye gaze, the days will come, in which there will not be left a stone upon a stone, that is not cast down.
7 Amah te a dawt uh tih, “Saya, te koinih te te me vaengah lae a om eh? Miknoek loh a om tom vaengah balae aka om eh?” a ti na uh.
And they questioned him, and said: Teacher, when will these things be? And what is the sign that they are near to take place?
8 Te dongah Jesuh loh. “Ng'rhaithi pawt ham hmat uh. Ka ming neh muep ha pawk uh vetih, ‘Kai coeng ni, a tue loh yoei coeng,’ ti uh cakhaw amih hnukah cet uh boeh.
And he said to them: See, that ye be not deceived; for many will come in my name, and will say: I am Messiah and the time is near. But go ye not after them.
9 Caem neh soekloeknah na yaak uh vaengah let uh boeh. Te te lamhma la a om ham ngawn a kuek. Tedae a bawtnah long tah pha koeloe mahpawh,” a ti nah.
And when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not afraid; for these things are previously to take place, but the end is not yet come.
10 Te phoeiah amih te, “Namtu loh namtu, ram loh ram a thoh thil ni.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;
11 Lingluei puei neh khokha loh hmuen tom ah tlung vetih duektahaw khaw pul ni. Mueirhih neh vaan lamkah miknoek long khaw mat ha thoeng ni.
and great earthquakes will occur in several places, and famines, and pestilences; and there will be terrors, and trepidations, and great signs from heaven will be seen, and there will be great tempests.
12 Tedae te hlan ah te hlang boeih kah a kut te nangmih pum dongla a hlah uh vetih n'hnaemtaek uh ni. Tunim neh thongim la n'thak uh ni. Kai ming kongah manghai tom neh khoboei tom taengla ng'khuen uh ni.
But before all these things, they will lay hands upon you, and will persecute you, and will deliver you up to councils and to prison, and will arraign you before kings and governors, on account of my name.
13 Nangmih ham laipai la poeh bitni.
But it will be to you for a testimony.
14 Te dongah na thinko khuiah khueh uh lamtah huul uh ham khaw tawn boeh.
And settle it in your hearts, that ye will not previously seek instruction for making a defence.
15 Kai loh olka neh cueihnah te nangmih kam paek bitni. Te te nangmih aka kingkalh rhoek boeih loh a kamkaih ham neh a oelh ham coeng thai mahpawh.
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your enemies will be unable to withstand.
16 Nangmih te manu napa, manuca rhoek, huiko neh paya laikoi long khaw m'voeih uh vetih n'duek sak ni.
And your parents, and your brothers, and your relatives, and your friends, will deliver you up, and cause some of you to die.
17 Kai ming kongah hlang boeih kah a hmuhuet la na om uh ni.
And ye will be hated by every one, on account of my name.
18 Tedae na lu sokah sampin pataeng poci loengloeng mahpawh.
But a hair of your head shall not perish.
19 Namamih kah uehnah nen ni na hinglu te na kaelh uh eh.”
And by your patience, will ye preserve your souls.
20 “Caem loh Jerusalem a vael uh te na hmuh uh vaengah, anih kah mitmoengnah loh yoei coeng tite ming uh.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem with an army encompassing it, then know ye, that its destruction draweth nigh.
21 Te vaengah Judea kah rhoek loh tlang la rhaelrham uh saeh. A laklung kah rhoek long khaw coe uh saeh. Tekah kho kah rhoek khaw a khuila kun boel saeh.
Then let them who shall be in Judaea, flee to the mountain district; and let them, who are in the midst of it, flee away; and those in the fields, not enter it.
22 Te dongah a daek tangtae te boeih soep sak ham ni te rhoek kah kutthungnah khohnin tah a om.
For these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.
23 Anunae bungvawn la aka om neh te khohnin kah cacun rhoek aih. Diklai hmankah a kueknah a len neh he pilnam taengah kosi la om bitni.
But woe to them that are with child, and to them that nurse children, in those days; for then will be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 Te vaengah cunghang ha dongah cungku uh vetih namtom boeih taengah a sol uh ni. Namtom rhoek kah a tue a soep duela Jerusalem khaw namtom kah a til ham ni a om eh.”
And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be carried captive to every place. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles shall be completed.
25 “Te vaengah tah miknoek boeih loh khomik, hla neh aisi dongah om uh ni. Tuipuei kah olhum neh tuiphu kah ngaihitnah dongah namtom rhoek kah ngaisaknah te diklai ah om ni.
And there will be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and distress of nations on the earth; and clasping of hands, from astonishment at the noise of the sea;
26 Lunglai ah aka thoeng rhihnah neh lamsonah dongah hlang he sut hit uh ni. Vaan kah thaomnah long khaw hinghuen uh ni.
and dismay that driveth out the souls of men, from fear of that which is to come on the earth; and the powers of heaven will be moved.
27 Te vaengah khomai dongah thaomnah neh thangpomnah a len neh aka pawk hlang capa te a hmuh uh ni.
And then will they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with much power, and with great glory.
28 Nangmih kah tlannah tah a yoei coeng dongah, aka om ham te a moe vaengah pai uh lamtah na lu dangrhoek uh,” a ti nah.
And when these things shall begin to be, take courage, and lift up your heads, for your deliverance draweth nigh.
29 Te phoeiah amih ham nuettahnah neh, “Thaibu neh thing boeih ke na hmuh uh.
And he uttered a similitude to them. Look at the fig-tree, and all the trees.
30 Tahae kah aka boe te aka hmuh rhoek long tah namah neh namah te, khohal vat a pha coeng tila na ming uh.
When they bud forth, ye at once understand from them that summer approacheth.
31 Te vanbangla nangmih long khaw he he ha thoeng tih na hmuh uh vaengah Pathen kah ram tah pai tom coeng tila ming uh.
So also, when ye shall see all these things take place, know ye that the kingdom of God is near.
32 Nangmih taengah rhep ka thui, boeih a thoeng hlan atah tahae kah cadil loh a khum mueh la om mahpawh.
Verily I say to you, That this generation will not pass away, until all these things occur.
33 Vaan neh diklai tah khum ni, tedae kai ol khum loengloeng mahpawh.”
Heaven and earth will pass away; but my word will not pass away.
34 “Te dongah namamih te ngaithuen uh lukilnah, rhuihahnah, khosak rhamsak kah mawntangnah dongah na thinko loh n'nan ve. Tekah khohnin loh nangmih soah buengrhuet ha pai ve.
Take heed to yourselves, that your hearts be, at no time, stupefied by gluttony and ebriety and worldly care; and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 Thaang bangla diklai maelhmai tom ah aka ngol rhoek boeih te a thoeng thil ni.
For, like a hunter's snare, it will spring upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole land.
36 Tedae aka thangthui rhoek loh a tue cungkuem dongah hak uh. Te daengah ni om la aka cai boeih he poenghal ham neh, hlang capa hmaiah pai ham na noeng uh eh,” a ti nah.
Be ye therefore vigilant, at all times, and prayerful; that ye may be worthy to escape the things that are to take place, and may stand before the Son of man.
37 Khothaih puet bawkim ah om tih a thuituen dae khoyin ah tah Olive a ti uh tlang soah cet tih rhaeh.
And, in the daytime he taught in the temple, and at night he went out and lodged in the mount, called the Place of Olives.
38 Te vaengah pilnam boeih loh anih ol yaak ham bawkim khuikah amah taengla ana yue uh coeng.
And all the people came early to him in the temple, to hear his discourse.
