[“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
2 Te vaengah a nawnnah saelhung kah a lu dongah a kut tloeng saeh lamtah tingtunnah dap thohkaah ngawn saeh. Te phoeiah thii te Aaron koca khuikah khosoih rhoek loh hmueihtuk kaepvai ah haeh uh saeh.
You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
3 Rhoepnah hmueihkhui lamkah a kotak aka dah maehtha neh a kotak dongkah maehtha boeih te BOEIPA taengah hmaihlutnah hamla khuen saeh.
From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
4 A kuel rhoi neh a uen dongkah a tha khaw, a thin neh a kuel dongkah a thinhnun te khaw rhoe saeh.
the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
5 Te phoeiah Aaron koca rhoek loh hmueihtuk dongah hmueihhlutnah thing hmai soah BOEIPA ham hmuehmuei botui hmaihlutnah la phum uh saeh.
Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
6 Tedae a nawnnah boiva te BOEIPA taengah rhoepnah hmueih la a nawn atah a tal mai khaw, a la mai khaw a cuemthuekte nawn saeh.
If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
7 Anih kah nawnnahte tuca neh a nawn atah BOEIPA kah mikhmuh ah nawn van saeh.
If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].

9 Te phoeiah a songrhuh voeivang kah a kawl tha a hmabuet neh, a kotak aka dah a tha khaw, a kotak dongkah a tha boeih khaw hluep saeh lamtah BOEIPA taengah rhoepnah hmaihlutnah hmueih la nawn saeh.
You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
10 Te phoeiah a kuel rhoi neh a uen dongkah a tha khaw, a thin neh a kuel dongkah a thinhnun te khaw hluep saeh lamtah,
the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
11 BOEIPA taengkah hmaihlutnah buh la hmueihtuk soah khosoih. loh phum saeh.
One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
12 Tedae anih kah nawnnahte maae mai khaw BOEIPA mikhmuh ah a nawn atah,
‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
13 maae lu soah a kut tloeng saeh lamtah tingtunnah dap hmai ah ngawn saeh. Te phoeiah a thii te Aaron koca rhoek loh hmueihtuk kaepvai ah haeh uh saeh.
You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
14 Te phoeiah hmaihlutnah nawnnahkhui lamkah a kotak aka dah a tha neh a kotak dongkah a tha boeih te BOEIPA taengah nawn saeh.
From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,
15 Te phoeiah a kuel rhoi neh a uen dongkah a tha khaw, a thin neh a kuel dongkah a thinhnun khaw hluep saeh lamtah,
the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
16 a tha boeihte khosoih. loh hmueihtuk kah hmaihlutnah buh soah BOEIPA ham hmuehmuei botui la phum saeh.
The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
17 Na tolrhum boeih kah na cadilcahma ham kumhal khosing la aka om, maehtha boeih neh thii boeih tah ca uh boeh.
‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
