1 Tedae anih te Ephriam hlang loh, “Kaimih taengah mebang hno lae na saii tih, Midian vathoh thil ham na caeh vaengah kaimih tloe tah nang khue pawh,” a ti na uh tih anih te thamahnah neh a ho uh.
And they said to him [the] man of Ephraim what? [is] the thing this [which] you have done to us to not to summon us that you went to fight against Midian and they quarreled! with him with force.
2 Te vaengah amih te Gideon loh, “Nangmih bangla balae ka saii coeng, Abiezer kah misurbit lakah Ephraim yoep he a then moenih a?
And he said to them what? have I done now like you ¿ not good [are] [the] gleanings of Ephraim more than [the] grape harvest of Abiezer.
3 Midian mangpa Oreb neh Zeeb te Pathen loh na kut dongla m'paek coeng tih nangmih bangla balae ka saii thai. Anih lamkah a mueihla a tahah vaengah a hekah ol a thui,” a ti nah.
In hand your he has given God [the] commanders of Midian Oreb and Zeeb and what? have I been able to do like you then it relaxed spirit their from on him when said he the word this.
4 Gideon ha pawk van neh Jordan te pahoi kat tih a taengkah hlang ya thum neh buhmueh rhathih la a hloem uh.
And he came Gideon the Jordan towards [was] passing over he and three hundred the man who [were] with him [were] exhausted and pursuing.
5 Te dongah Sukkoth hlang rhoek taengah, “Ka kho kung kah pilnam ham he buh hluem khaw m'paek pah laem, Midian manghai Zebah neh Zalmunna hnuk ka hloem ah amih khaw kamah khaw buhmueh rhathih lam ni ka om uh,” a ti nah.
And he said to [the] people of Succoth give please round loaves of bread to the people which [is] at feet my for [are] exhausted they and I [am] pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna [the] kings of Midian.
6 Tedae Sukkoth mangpa rhoek loh na caempuei te buh ka paek uh ham khaw Zebah neh Zalmunna kut te na kut dongah om oepsoeh pawn a?” a ti nah.
And he said [the] officials of Succoth ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to army your bread.
7 Te dongah Gideon loh, “Zebah neh Zalmunna te BOEIPA loh ka kut dongla han tloeng vaengah na saa te khosoek kah a hling neh, mutlohling neh kam baih bitni,” a ti nah.
And he said Gideon therefore when gives Yahweh Zebah and Zalmunna in hand my and I will thresh flesh your with thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
8 Te lamkah te Penuel la cet tih koep a thui bal dae anih te Sukkoth hlang rhoek kah a doo bangla Penuel hlang rhoek long khaw a doo uh.
And he went up from there Penuel and he spoke to them like this and they answered him [the] men of Penuel just as they had answered [the] men of Succoth.
9 Te dongah Penuel hlang rhoek te khaw a voek tih, “Sading la ka mael vaengah rhaltoengim he kam phil bitni,” a ti nah.
And he said also to [the] men of Penuel saying when return I in peace I will tear down the tower this.
10 Te vaengah Zebah neh Zalmunna tah Karkor ah khothoeng ca caem boeih khui lamkah aka sueng boeih thawng hlai nga tluk loh amih rhoi taengah lambong la a om puei. Te vaengah cunghang aka pom hlang thawng ya pakul loh cungku uh.
And Zebah and Zalmunna [were] in Karkor and armies their [were] with them about fif-teen thousand all those [who] remained of all [the] army of [the] people of [the] east and those [who] fell [were] one hundred and twenty thousand man [who] drew [the] sword.
11 Gideon khaw, Nobah neh Jobehah khothoeng kah dap ah aka om rhoek longpuei ah cet tih lambong lambong te a tloek daengah ngaikhuek la om pueng.
And he went up Gideon [the] way of those [who] dwell in tents from [the] east of Nobah and Jogbehah and he attacked the army and the army it was security.
12 Zebah neh Zalmunna te rhaelrham rhoi van dae a hnukah a hloem. Midian manghai rhoi Zebah neh Zalmunna te a tuuk van nen tah lambong boeih te a lakueng sak.
And they fled Zebah and Zalmunna and he pursued after them and he captured [the] two - [the] kings of Midian Zebah and Zalmunna and all the army he routed.
13 Joash capa Gideon khaw caemtloek lamkah lamkah te Heres kham longah ha mael.
And he returned Gideon [the] son of Joash from the battle from to [the] ascent of Heres.

And he captured a young man one of [the] men of Succoth and he enquired of him and he wrote down to him [the] officials of Succoth and elders its seventy and seven man.
15 Te phoeiah Sukkoth hlang rhoek te a paan tih, “Zebah neh Zalmunna la he, kai nan hnael uh tih, 'Buh aka lamlum na hlang rhoek te ka paek uh ham khaw, na kut ah Zebah neh Zalmunna kut loh om pawn a,’ na ti uh te,” a ti nah.
And he came to [the] men of Succoth and he said here! Zebah and Zalmunna whom you taunted me saying ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to men your weary bread.
16 Te phoeiah khopuei kah a hamca rhoek neh Sukkoth hlang rhoek te a loh tih khosoek kah a hling, mutlohling neh a toel.
And he took [the] elders of the city and [the] thorns of the wilderness and the briers and he taught with them [the] men of Succoth.
17 Penuel rhaltoengim te khaw a phil tih khopuei hlang rhoek te khaw a ngawn.
And [the] tower of Penuel he tore down and he killed [the] men of the city.
18 Te phoeiah Zebah neh Zalmunna te, “Tabor ah na ngawn uh te mebang hlang rhoek lae,” a ti nah hantah, “Namah bangla om tih amih te manghai capa kah a suisak bangla rhip om uh,” a ti rhoi.
And he said to Zebah and to Zalmunna where? [are] the men whom you killed at Tabor (and they said *L(abh)*) like you like them one [was] like [the] appearance of [the] sons of the king.
19 Te vaengah ka mana rhoi aw BOEIPA kah hingnah dongah amih te ka manu ca rhoek ni, amih te na hing sak koinih nangmih he kang ngawn pawt sue,” a ti nah.
And he said [were] brothers my [the] sons of mother my they [by] [the] life of Yahweh if you had let live them not I killed you.
20 Te phoeiah a caming Jether te, “Thoo lamtah amih rhoi he ngawn,” a ti nah. Tedae a camoe pueng dongah a rhih tih a cunghang te camoe loh rhawp bong pawh.
And he said to Jether firstborn his arise kill them and not he drew the young man sword his for he was afraid for still he [was] a young man.
21 Zebah neh Zalmunna long khaw, “Namah te thoo lamtah kaimih rhoi he n'cuuk thil,” a ti nah. A thayung thamal loh hlang la a poeh sak van dongah Gideon khaw thoo tih Zebah neh Zalmunna te a ngawn. A kalauk rhawn dongkah oi te khaw a loh pah.
And he said Zebah and Zalmunna arise you and fall on us for [is] like the man strength his and he arose Gideon and he killed Zebah and Zalmunna and he took the ornaments which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.
22 Te vaengah Gideon te Israel hlang rhoek loh, “Kaimih he Midian kut lamkah nan khang coeng dongah namah neh na ca long khaw, na ca kah a ca khaw kaimih soah ngol pawn saeh,” a ti uh.
And they said [the] man of Israel to Gideon rule over us both you as well as son your as well as [the] son of son your for you have delivered us from [the] hand of Midian.
23 Tedae amih taengah Gideon loh, “Nangmih soah kai ka ngol mahpawh, ka ca khaw nangmih soah ngol boel saeh, BOEIPA te nangmih soah ngol bitni,” a ti nah.
And he said to them Gideon not I will rule I over you and not he will rule son my over you Yahweh he will rule over you.
24 Te vaengkah amih Ishmael rhoek kah hnaii te tah sui kak la a om dongah Israel rhoek te Gideon loh, “Hlang boeih loh a kutbuem la a khueh hnaii te kai taengah nan paek ham te ni nangmih taengah huithuinah neh kam bih,” a ti nah.
And he said to them Gideon let me ask from you a petition and give to me everyone earring of plunder his for earrings of gold [belonged] to them for [were] Ishmaelites they.
25 Tedae, “Pae rhoe pae sih,” a ti uh dongah himbai te a phaih uh tih hlang boeih loh a kutbuem hnaii pahoi a voeih uh.
And they said certainly we will give [them] and they spread out the garment and they threw there towards everyone earring of plunder his.
26 Te vaengkah sui hnaii a bih te sui kak khiing la thawngkhat ya rhih om. Te lamloh Midian manghai pum dongkah kah oihnun, hnapha, daidi himbai khaw, te lamloh kalauk rhawn dongkah oi khaw om pueng.
And it was [the] weight of [the] earrings of gold which he asked for one thousand and seven hundred gold apart from the ornaments and the pendants and [the] garments of purple that [were] on [the] kings of Midian and apart from the necklaces which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.
27 Te te Gideon loh hnisui la a saii tih Ophrah kah amah kho ah a khueh hatah a taengah Israel boeih loh cukhalh uh. Te dongah Gideon ham neh a imkhui ham tah hlaeh la a om pah.
And he made it Gideon into an ephod and he placed it in city his in Ophrah and they acted as prostitutes all Israel after it there and it became for Gideon and for household his a snare.
28 Midian he Israel ca rhoek kah mikhmuh ah kunyun coeng tih a lu khaw dangrhoek ham khaw khoep uh voelpawh. Te dongah Gideon tue, kum likip khuiah tah khohmuen khaw mong.
And it was subdued Midian before [the] people of Israel and not they repeated to lift up head their and it was at peace the land forty year[s] in [the] days of Gideon.
29 Te daengah Joash capa Jerubbaal khaw mael van tih amah im ah kho a sak.
And he went Jerub-Baal [the] son of Joash and he dwelt in own house his.
30 Gideon he a yuu muep a om dongah a pum lamkah aka thoeng rhoek mah ca tongpa sawmrhih lo uh.
And to Gideon they belonged seventy sons [who] came out of thigh his for wives many they belonged to him.
31 Tedae Shekhem kah a yula loh anih ham ca a cun van tih a ming te Abimelek a sui.
And concubine his who [was] in Shechem she bore to him also she a son and he made name his Abimelech.
32 Joash capa Gideon khaw sampok then la duek tih Abiezer Ophrah kah a napa Joash phuel ah a up uh.
And he died Gideon [the] son of Joash in old age good and he was buried in [the] tomb of Joash father his in Ophrah of [the] Abi-ezrite[s].
33 Gideon a duek van nen tah Israel ca rhoek loh poehlip uh. Baal taengla cukhalh uh tih amamih ham Baalberith te pathen bangla a khueh uh.
And it was just when he had died Gideon and they turned back [the] people of Israel and they acted as prostitutes after the Baals and they made for themselves Baal-Berith into god.
34 A kaepvai kah thunkha rhoek kut tom lamkah amih aka huul BOEIPA a Pathen te Israel ca rhoek loh poek uh pawh.
And not they remembered [the] people of Israel Yahweh God their who delivered them from [the] hand of all enemies their from round about.
35 Israel ham a saii a then boeih dongah khaw Jerubbaal Gideon imkhui taengah sitlohnah khaw tueng uh pawh.
And not they did loyalty with [the] house of Jerub-Baal Gideon according to all the good which he had done with Israel.
