< Joshua 3 >
1 Te dongah Joshua khaw mincang ah thoo. Shittim lamloh hlah uh tih amah neh Israel ca rhoek boeih loh Jordan la puen uh. Tedaea kat uh hlanah pahoi rhaeh uh.
And he rose early Joshua in the morning and they set out from Shittim and they came to the Jordan he and all [the] people Israel and they stayed there before they passed over.
2 Hnin thuma thok phoeiah tah, rhoiboei rhoek te rhaehhmuen khui longah pah uh.
And it was from [the] end of three days and they passed the officers in [the] midst of the camp.
3 Te vaengah pilnam tea uen uh tih, “BOEIPA na Pathen kah paipi thingkawng neh te te aka kawt Levi khosoih rhoek te na hmuh uh vaengah na hmuen lamloh hlah uh lamtah a hnukah vai uh.
And they commanded the people saying when see you [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and the priests the Levites carrying it and you you will set out from place your and you will go behind it.
4 Tedae anih neh nangmih laklo ah lakhla la om saeh. Te vaengah anih laklo kah a sen dong thawngkhat tluk tah anih taengla na yoei uh mahpawh. Te daengah ni hlaem hlavai na pongpa nah noek pawh longpuei te anih rhang neh na cet uh vetih longpuei na ming uh eh,” a ti nah.
Nevertheless - a distance it will be between you (and between it *Q(k)*) about two thousand cubit[s] by measurement may not you draw near to it so that that you may know the way which you will go in it for not you have passed in the way from yesterday three days ago.
5 Te phoeiah pilnam te Joshua loh, “Thangvuen ah BOEIPA loh nangmih lakli ah khobaerhambae la a saii ham coeng dongah na mamih te ciim uh laeh,” a ti nah.
And he said Joshua to the people consecrate yourselves for tomorrow he will do Yahweh in midst your wonders.
6 Khosoih rhoek te khaw Joshua loh a uen tih, “Paipi thingkawng he kawt uh lamtah pilnam mikhmuh ah kat uh laeh,” a ti nah. Te dongah paipi thingkawng tea koh uh tih pilnam mikhmuh ah cet uh.
And he said Joshua to the priests saying lift up [the] ark of the covenant and pass over before the people and they lifted up [the] ark of the covenant and they went before the people.
7 Te vaengah Joshua te BOEIPA loh, “Tihnin ah Israel pum kah mikhmuh ah nang he pomsang ham ka tong vetih Moses taengah ka om bangla nang taengah ka om te ming uh saeh.
And he said Yahweh to Joshua the day this I will begin to make great you in [the] eyes of all Israel that they will know! that just as I was with Moses I will be with you.
8 Paipi thingkawng aka kawt khosoih rhoek te namah loh uen lamtah thui pah. Jordan tui kaeng te na pha uh vaengah Jordan ah pai uh dae,” a ti nah.
And you you will command the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the covenant saying when come you to [the] edge of [the] waters of the Jordan in the Jordan you will stand still.
9 Te dongah Joshua loh Israel ca rhoek te, “Hela thoeih uh lamtah BOEIPA na Pathen kah olka he ya uh lah,” a ti nah.
And he said Joshua to [the] people of Israel draw near hither and hear [the] words of Yahweh God your.
10 Te phoeiah Joshua loh, “He nen ni na khui kaha hing Khohni te na ming uh eh. Te dongah Kanaani neh Khitti khaw, Khivee neh Perizzi khaw, Girgashi, Amori neh Jebusi khaw na mikhmuh lamloha haek rhoe a haek bitni.
And he said Joshua by this you will know! that God living [is] in midst your and certainly he will dispossess from before you the Canaanite[s] and the Hittite[s] and the Hivite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
11 Diklai pum kah Boeipa paipi thingkawng tah nangmih mikhmuh ah Jordan la kat coeng ke.
Here! [the] ark of the covenant [the] lord of all the earth [is] about to pass on before you in the Jordan.
12 Te dongah Israel koca lamloh hlang hlai nit te namamih ham tuek uh laeh. Koca pakhat lamloh hlang pakhat, hlang pakhat saeh.
And therefore take for yourselves two [plus] ten man from [the] tribes of Israel a man one a man one to the tribe.
13 Te vaengah ana om bitni, diklai pum kah Boeipa Yahweh kah thingkawng aka kawt khosoih kho dongkah khopha loh Jordan tui, Jordan tui khuilaa cawta so lamkah aka long tui khaw pat vetih som pakhat bangla pai ni,” a ti nah.
And it will be when rest [the] soles of [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of Yahweh [the] lord of all the earth in [the] waters of the Jordan [the] waters of the Jordan they will be cut off! the waters that are coming down from to above so they may stand a heap one.
14 Te dongah pilnam rhoek khaw Jordan kat hamla dap lamloh hlah uh tih khosoih rhoek loh pilnam kah mikhmuh ah paipi thingkawng te a koh uh.
And it was when set out the people from tents their to pass over the Jordan and the priests [the] bearers of the ark the covenant before the people.
15 Thingkawng aka kawt rhoek loh Jordan tea pha uh coeng. Te phoeiah thingkawng aka kawt khosoih kho te tui kaeng aha nuem uh. Te dongah Jordan te cangah tue puet tuikaeng tom la li.
And just as came [the] bearers of the ark to the Jordan and [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of the ark they were dipped in [the] edge of the waters and the Jordan it is full over all banks its all [the] days of harvest.
16 Te vaengaha so lamkah aka long tui te pai tih som pakhat bangla aka pai te Zarethan kaep kah Adam khopuei due khawk li phai. Lungkaeh tuitunli la aka om Arabah tuili la aka long rhoek khaw boeiha phih uh dongah pilnam loh Jerikho imdan ah kat uh phai.
And they stood the waters which came down from to above they rose a heap one far away very (from Adam *Q(K)*) the city which [is] from [the] side of Zarethan and which went down to [the] sea of the Arabah [the] Sea of Salt they were complete they were cut off and the people they passed over before Jericho.
17 Te vaengah BOEIPA kah paipi thingkawng aka kawt khosoih rhoek tah Jordan laklung kah lanhak dongah khak pai uh tih Jordan aka kat ham namtu te boeiha soep uh duela Israel pum tah lanhak dong longah a lan uh.
And they stood the priests [the] bearers of the ark [the] covenant of Yahweh on the dry ground in [the] middle of the Jordan firmly and all Israel [were] passing over on the dry ground until that they had finished all the nation to pass over the Jordan.
