1 Israel ca rhoek loh rhaengpuei la Shiloh ah boeih tingtun uh. Te ah te tingtunnah dap te a khueh uh tih amamih mikhmuh ah khohmuen te a khoem.
Then the whole assembly of the people of Israel met together at Shiloh. They set up the tent of meeting there and they conquered the land before them.
2 Tedae Israel ca rhoek khuikah koca parhih loh amamih kah rho a dang mueh la om pueng.
There were still seven tribes among the people of Israel whose inheritance had not been assigned.
3 Te dongah Israel ca rhoek taengah Joshua loh, “Na pa rhoek kah BOEIPA Pathen loh nangmih taengah m'paek khohmuen te dang ham neh pang ham la mevaeng due lae na tiing uh eh.
Joshua said to the people of Israel, “How long will you put off going into the land that Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, has given you?
4 Namamih ham te koca khuikah hlang pathum ah tuek uh lamtah amih te ka tueih eh. Te vaengah thoo uh saeh lamtah khohmuen te hip saeh. Te phoeiah a kawng te amamih kah rho tarhing la daek uh saeh lamtah kai taengla ha kun uh saeh.
Appoint for yourselves three men from each tribe, and I will send them out. They will set out and survey the land up and down. They will write out a description of it with a view to their inheritances, and then they will come back to me.
5 Khoyo te parhih la boe uh lamtah tuithim kah amah khorhi ah Judah loh om saeh. Tlangpuei kah amah khorhi ah Joseph imko om van saeh.
They will divide it into seven sections. Judah will remain in their territory on the south, and the house of Joseph will continue in their territory in the north.
6 Te phoeiah khohmuen kawng nangmih loh khoyo parhih la na daek uh te ka taengla hang kuen uh. Te vaengah mamih kah BOEIPA Pathen mikhmuh ah hmulung te nangmih ham ka thuinuet eh.
You will describe the land in seven sections and bring the description here to me. I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh our God.
7 Tedae Levi ham khoyo tah nangmih lakli ah nuet boel saeh. BOEIPA khosoihbi te anih kah rho la om coeng. Gad, Reuben neh Manasseh koca hlangvang long tah BOEIPA kah sal Moses loh amih taengah a paek Jordan khocuk kah rhalvangan ah ni amamih kah rho te a dang uh coeng,” a ti nah.
The Levites have no portion among you, for the priesthood of Yahweh is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance, beyond Jordan. This is the inheritance that Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them.”
8 Te dongah hlang rhoek te thoo uh tih a caeh uh vaengah khohmuen kawng daek ham aka cet rhoek te Joshua loh a uen tih, “Cet uh lamtah khohmuen te hip uh laeh. A kawng te daek uh lamtah kai taengla ham mael puei uh. Te vaengah Shiloh kah BOEIPA mikhmuh ah he hmulung te nangmih ham ka yuek eh?,” a ti nah.
So the men got up and went. Joshua commanded those who went to write the description of the land, saying, “Go up and down in the land and write a description of it and return to me. I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh at Shiloh.”
9 Te vaengah hlang rhoek te cet uh tih kho takuem la pawk uh. Khopuei rhoek te cabu dongah khoyo parhih la a daek uh tih Shiloh rhaehhmuen kah Joshua taengla mael uh.
The men left and walked up and down in the land and wrote a description of it in a scroll by its cities in seven sections, listing the cities in each section. Then they returned to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh.
10 Te dongah Shiloh kah BOEIPA mikhmuh ah amih ham hmulung te Joshua loh a yueh pah tih amamih boelnah bangla Israel ca rhoek ham khohmuen te Joshua loh pahoi a tael pah.
Then Joshua cast lots for them at Shiloh before Yahweh. It was there that Joshua assigned the land to the people of Israel, and to each was given his portion of the land.
11 Benjamin ca rhoek te amah koca kah hmulung a naan vaengah amah huiko tarhing ah amih kah khorhi te hmulung loh Judah ca rhoek neh Joseph ca rhoek laklo ah a nan.
The assignment of land for the tribe of Benjamin clan by clan. The territory of their assigned land was located between the descendants of Judah and the descendants of Joseph.
12 Amih kah khorhi te Jordan kah tlangpuei kaep ah om. Tlangpuei ah Jerikho tlanghlaep ah khorhi te luei tih khotlak tlang la yoeng. Te phoeiah a hmoi te cet cet tih Bethaven khosoek la pawk.
On the north side, their border began at the Jordan. The border went up to the ridge north of Jericho, and then up through the hill country westward. There it reached the wilderness of Beth Aven.
13 Te lamkah khorhi te Luz la, Luz tlanghlaep tuithim la, Bethel la kat tih tlang ah Atarothaddar khorhi, tuithim ah Bethhoron yung la suntla thuk.
From there the border passed along south in the direction of Luz (the same place as Bethel). Then the border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies south of Beth Horon.
14 Te phoeiah khorhi aka hooi te tlang lamkah tuithim tuipuei kil a hil tih tuithim kah Bethhoron imdan la, cet, cet bal tih a hmoi loh tuipuei kil, Judah ca rhoek kah khopuei Kiriathbaal Kiriathjearim la pawk.
The boundary then went in another direction: On the western side it turned toward the south, heading toward the mountain across from Beth Horon. This boundary ended at Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), a city that belonged to the tribe of Judah. This formed the border on the western side.
15 Tuithim saa ah Kiriathjearim ngoe lamkah te tuipuei rhi ah a khuen tih Nephtoah tuisih tui ah pawk.
The south side began just outside of Kiriath Jearim. The border went from there to Ephron, to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.
16 Te phoeiah khorhi kolrhawk rhaldan ah tlang yung la, Rapha kol ah tlangpuei la suntla tih tuithim ah Jebusi tlanghlaep kolrhawk la a rhum phoeiah Enrogel la pawk.
The boundary then went down to the border of the mountain which was opposite the Valley of Ben Hinnom, which was at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim. It then went down to the Valley of Hinnom, south of the slope of the Jebusites, and continued down to En Rogel.
17 Te phoeiah tlangpuei la hooi uh tih Enshemesh te a paan phoeiah Adummim kham dan kah Geliloth la pawk tih Reuben koca rhoek kah Bohan lungnu la suntla thuk.
It turned northward, going in the direction of En Shemesh, and from there it went out to Geliloth, which was opposite the ascent of Adummim. Then it went down to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
18 Tlangpuei ah kolken rhaldan kah tlanghlaep la cet bal tih kolken la pawk.
It passed on to the north of the shoulder of Beth Arabah and down to the Arabah.
19 Te phoeiah khorhi te tlangpuei ah Bethhoglah tlanghlaep la kat. Khorhi kah a hmoi a hmoi tah tlangpuei kah lungkaeh tuili longken ah khaw, tuithim rhi ah khaw Jordan tuikung ah om phai.
The border passed on to the north shoulder of Beth Hoglah. The border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the southern end of the Jordan. This was the boundary on the south.
20 Jordan loh khothoeng ben ah Benjamin koca rhoek kah rho te amah cako ham rhilung neh a suem pah.
The Jordan formed its border on the eastern side. This was the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin, and it was given clan by clan, border after border, all around.
21 Te dongah Benjamin ca rhoek kah amah cako ah, Jerikho, Bethhoglah, Emekkeziz,
Now the cities of the tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan, had these cities: Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,
22 Bethkolken, Zemaraim, Bethel,
Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
24 Kepharammoni, Kepharammoni neh Ophni, Geba, khopuei hlai nit neh amih vangca rhoek,
Kephar Ammoni, Ophni, and Geba. There were twelve cities, including their villages.
25 Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
There were also the cities of Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
26 Mizpeh, Kephirah, Mozah,
Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,
27 Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah te amih koca rhoek kah khopuei la om.
Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
28 Zelahhaeleph neh Jebusi, Jerusalem, Gibeah khorha kah, khopuei hlai li neh vangca rhoek te Benjamin koca rhoek neh amah cako kah rho la om.
Zelah, Haeleph, Jebus (the same as Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath. There were fourteen cities, including their villages. This was the inheritance of Benjamin for their clans.
