1 Judah ca rhoek neh a hui a ko tarahing ah tuithim kah Zin khosoek Edom khorhi, tuithim khobawt te amih koca kah hmulung la a om pah.
Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.
2 Te dongah lungkaeh li hmoi lamloh tuithim la aka hooi uh longken khaw, amih kah tuithim la om.
Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:
3 Akrabbim kham tuithim aha khuen tih Zin la kat. Te phoeiah Kadeshbarnea tuithim la cet tih Khetsron la a kat sak. Te lamkah loh Addar tea paan tih Karka la mael.
From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:
4 Te phoeiah Azmon la kat phai tih Egypt soklong te a doo. Te lamkah te tuili rhi kah longrhael ah aka om aka om tah nangmih ham tuithim khorhi la om.
Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.
5 Lungkaeh li lamkah loh Jordan tuikung due khothoeng khorhi la om tih tuili longken lamloh Jordan tuikung ah tlangpuei ben kah khorhi la om.
And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:
6 Te phoeiah Bethhoglah khorhi la luei hang tih Bethkolken tlangpueia paan phoeiah Reuben capa Bohan kah lungto rhi la luei.
Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
7 Te phoeiah Akor kol lamloh Debir khorhi la luei bal tih soklong tuithim kah Adummim kham dan Gilgal ah tlangpuei la hooi uh. Te phoeiah khorhi loh Enshemesh tui tea paan tih Enrogel ah a bawtnah om.
Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:
8 Kolrhawk khorhi tuithim kah Jebusi tlanghlaep ah Jerusalem la yong. Te phoeiah khorhi te tlangpuei kah Rapha kol hmoi, khotlak kolrhawk dan kah tlang soi la luei.
Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:
9 Te phoeiah khorhi te tlang so lamloh Nephtoah tuisih tui la ngooi thuk tih Ephron tlang kah khopuei rhoek tea paan phoeiah Kiriathjearim kah Baalah khorhi la rhum.
And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):
10 Baalah khotlak lamkah khorhi te Seir tlang laa ken bal tih Kesalon tlangpuei kah Jearim tlang hlaep la yong. Te phoeiah Bethshemesh la suntla tih Timnah la kat.
Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:
11 Te phoeiah khorhi te tlangpuei kah Ekron hlaep la pawk tih Shikkron khorhi ngooi. Te phoeiah Baalah tlanga pah tih Jabneela pha phoeiah tuitun rhi aha bawtnah om.
And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.
12 Te dongah khotlak tuili puei khorhi neh Judah ca rhoek kah khorhi he, amah huiko rhoek loha vael khorhi la om.
And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.
13 BOEIPA kah olpaek vanbangla Joshua loh Judah koca lakli ah Jephuneh capa Kaleb ham Anakim napa Kiriatharba kah Hebron te khoyo la a phaeng.
And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.
14 Te lamkah Anak koca pathum Sheshai, Ahiman neh Anakim cahlah Talmai te Kaleb loh a haek.
And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.
15 Te lamloh Debir khosa rhoek khaw a khoong thil. Debir kah a ming rhuem tah Kiriathsepher ni.
From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)
16 Te vaengah Kaleb loh, “Kiriathsepher aka tloek tih aka lo te tah ka canu Akcah he a yuu la ka paek ni,” a ti.
And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.
17 Te dongah Kiriathsepher te Kaleb kah a manuca Kenaz capa Othniel loh a loh tih anih yuu la a canu Akcah tea paek.
And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.
18 Huta loh ham paan vaengah a napa taengkah khohmuen bih hamlaa va te a vueh tih laak dong lamloh pawlh bit uh. Te dongah anih te Kaleb loh, “Nang tahh balae na ngaih,” a ti nah.
Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?
19 Te dongah, “Kai ham khaw yoethennah nan khueh atah tuithim khohmuen ke kai m'pae lamtah tuidueh tui khaw kai ham na khueh bal mako,” a ti nah. Te dongah anih tea siip tuidueh neha hnawt tuidueh rhoek tea paek.
And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.
20 He tah Judah ca rhoek loh amah koca khuiah a cako rhoek kah rho ni.
This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.
21 Tuithim Edom khorhi kah Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
22 Kinah, Dimonah, Adanah,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
23 Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
24 Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
25 Hazorhadattah neh Hazor kah Kerioth Khetsron,
And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);
26 Amam, Shema, Moladah,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
27 Hazargaddah, Heshmon, Bethpelet,
And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
28 Hazarshual, Beersheba, Biziothiah,
And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
29 Baalah, Iyim, Ezem,
Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
30 Eltolad, Kesil, Hormah,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
31 Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ayin, Rimmon, khopuei pakul pako neh vangca boeih he Judah ca rhoek neh amih koca kah khobawt ah aka om khopuei rhoek ni.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.
33 Kolrhawk ah khaw Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,
In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
34 Zanoah, Engannim, Tapuah, Enam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
35 Jarmuth, Adullam, Sokoh, Azekah,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
36 Shaaraim, Adithaim, Grderah, Gederothaim, khopuei hlai li neh amih kah vangca rhoek.
And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.
37 Zenan, Hadashad, Migdalgad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
38 Dilean, Mizpeh, Joktheel,
And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
39 Lakhish, Bozkath, Eglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
40 Kabbon, Lahmas, Kitlish,
And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
41 Gederoth, Bethdagon, Naamah, Makkedah, khopuei hlai rhuk neh amih kah vangca rhoek.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.
42 Libnah, Ether, Ashan,
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
43 Jephthah, Ashnah, Nezib,
And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
44 Keilah, Akhzib, Mareshah, khopuei pako neh amih kah vangca rhoek,
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.
45 Ekron, anih kah khobuel neh vangca rhoek,
Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;
46 Ekron lamloh tuitun kah Ashdod ngoe boeih neh amih kah vangca rhoek,
From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.
47 Ashdod khobuel rhoek neh a vangca rhoek. Gaza khobuel rhoek neh anih kah vangca rhoek, Egypt soklong neh tuipuei rhi kah rhi puei duela om.
Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.
48 Tlang kah, Shamir, Jattir, Sokoh,
And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
49 Dannah, Kiriathsannah Debir
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);
50 Anab, Eshtmoa, Anim,
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
51 Goshen, Holon, Giloh, khopuei hlai khat neh amih kah vangca rhoek,
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.
52 Arab, Rumah, Eshan,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;
53 Janim, Bethtappuah, Aphekah,
And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
54 Humtah, Kiriatharba Hebron Zior khopuei pako neh amih kah vangca rhoek khaw om.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.
55 Maon Karmel, Ziph, Juttah,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;
56 Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
57 Kain, Geba, Timnah khopuei parha neh amih kah vangca rhoek,
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.
58 Halhul, Bethzur, Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;
59 Maarath, Bethanoth, Eltekon, khopuei parhuk neh amih kah vangca rhoek,
And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.
60 Kiriathbaal Kiriathjearim, Rabbah khopuei panit neh amih kah vangca rhoek,
Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two towns with their unwalled places.
61 Khosoek kah Bethkolken Middin neh Sekakah,
In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
62 Nibshan, Lungkaeh khopuei, Engedi khopuei parhuk neh amih kah vangca rhoek khaw om.
And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.
63 Tedae Jerusalem kah aka om Jebusi rhoek tah Judah ca rhoek loh a haek ham coeng rhoe la coeng pawh. Te dongah Jebusi neh Judah ca rhoek he tihnin due Jerusalem ah hmaih omuh.
And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.
