1 Yoom khotue hlanah he diklai lamkah Pa taengla a thoeih ham tue te ham pha coeng tila Jesuh loh a ming. Te dongah diklai ah a lungnah rhoek te a bawt due a lungnah.
Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his time had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 Hlaembuh a vael uh vaengah amah aka voei ham Simon capa Judas Iskariot loh a thinko ah rhaithae a khueh coeng.
During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,
3 Pa loh Jesuh amah kut ah boeih a paek tih Pathen taeng lamkah aka thoeng te Pathen taengla cet tila a ming.
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came from God and was going to God,
4 Buhkung lamkah a thoh neh a himbai a dul. Te phoeiah rhawnawn a loh tih a vaep.
arose from supper, and laid aside his outer garments. He took a towel and wrapped a towel around his waist.
5 Baeldung dongah tui a loei tih hnukbang rhoek kah kho te koe a silh. Te phoeiah a vaep tangtae la aka om rhawnawn neh a huih pah.
Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
6 Simon Peter taengah a pha vaengah amah te, “Boeipa, nang loh kai kho na sil aya?” a ti nah.
Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?”
7 Jesuh loh anih te a doo tih, “Ka saii he nang loh tahae ah na ming pawt dae tahae lamkah phoeiah na ming bitni,” a ti nah.
Jesus answered him, “You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.”
8 Peter loh, “Ka kho he a voelvai ah sil loengloeng boeh,” a ti nah. Jesuh loh, “Nang kan sil pawt koinih kai taengah benbo benpang la na om mahpawh,” a ti nah. (aiōn )
Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.” (aiōn )
9 Amah te Simon Peter loh, “Boeipa, ka kho bueng pawt tih ka kut neh ka lu khawm ta,” a ti nah.
Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
10 Jesuh loh anih taengah, “Tui aka hlu tah a caih la boeih om tih a kho silh ham bueng pawt atah a tloe silh ngoe pawh. Te phoeiah nangmih tah a caih la na om uh dae boeih na cim uh moenih,” a ti nah.
Jesus said to him, “Someone who has bathed only needs to have his feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”
11 Amah aka voei te a ming coeng. Te dongah, “A caih la boeih na om uh pawh,” a ti nah.
For he knew him who would betray him; therefore he said, “You are not all clean.”
12 Amih kah kho te a silh phoeiah a himbai te a loh tih koep ngol. Te vaengah amih te, “Nangmih ham ka saii te na ming uh a?
So when he had washed their feet, put his outer garment back on, and sat down again, he said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
13 Nangmih loh kai he saya neh boeipa la nan khue uh dae ka om van dongah balh na thui uh.
You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I am.
14 Te dongah kai boeipa neh saya loh nangmih kah kho te ka silh atah nangmih khaw khat neh khat kah kho te na silh uh ham a kuek.
If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 Kai loh nangmih taengah ka saii bangla nangmih long khaw saii uh tila moeiboe pakhat nangmih kan paek coeng.
For I have given you an example, that you should also do as I have done to you.
16 Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui, sal tah a boei lakah tanglue la, caeltueih khaw amah aka tueih lakah tanglue la a om moenih.
Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.
17 He he na ming uh tih te rhoek te na vai uh atah yoethen la na om uh coeng.
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
18 Nangmih boeih ham ka thui moenih a? Kamah loh ka tuek te ka ming. Tedae cacim te tah soep mai saeh. Ka buh aka ca loh kai taengah a khodil a taloeh coeng.
I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.’
19 A om hlanah nangmih kan ti nah coeng. Te daengah ni a om vaengah kai ni tila nan tangnah uh eh.
From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I am he.
20 Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui, khat khat ka tueih te aka doe long tah kai ni n'doe. Kai aka doe long khaw kai aka tueih te a doe,” a ti nah.
Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.”
21 Hekah he Jesuh loh a thui vaengah mueihla hinghuen doela a phong tih, “Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui nangmih khuikah pakhat loh kai m'voeih ni,” a ti.
When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
22 U a thui khaw hnukbang rhoek tah ingang uh tih khat khat ah so uh thae.
The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke.
23 A hnukbang rhoek khuikah pakhat tah Jesuh kah rhang dongah om tih a vael. Anih te Jesuh loh a lungnah.
One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was at the table, leaning against Jesus’ chest.

Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom he speaks.”
25 Te phoeiah anih te Jesuh kah rhang dongah hangdang tangloeng tih, “Boeipa, unim?” a ti nah.
He, leaning back, as he was, on Jesus’ chest, asked him, “Lord, who is it?”
26 Jesuh loh, “Anih tah kamat ka nuem vetih amah taengah ka paek ni,” a ti nah. Te dongah kamat te a nuem phoeiah a loh tih Simon capa Judas Iskariot te a paek.
Jesus therefore answered, “It is he to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
27 Kamat nen mah anih te Satan loh a kun thil coeng. Te dongah Jesuh loh anih te, “Na saii te hat saii to,” a ti nah.
After the piece of bread, then Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
28 A taengah a thui te aka vael rhoek loh ming pawh.
Now nobody at the table knew why he said this to him.
29 A ngen loh tangkacun te Judas loh a khoem dongah khotue ham a ngoe koi te lai ham neh khodaeng rhoek te khat khat paek ham te Jesuh loh anih a ti nah tila a poek uh.
For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus said to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.
30 Te dongah anih loh vaidam kamat te a doe tih pahoi cet. Te vaengah khoyin la om.
Therefore having received that morsel, he went out immediately. It was night.
31 A caeh tangloeng vaengah Jesuh loh, “Tahae ah hlang capa tah a thangpom vetih Pathen tah anih ah a thangpom ni.
When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.

If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him immediately.

Little children, I will be with you a little while longer. You will seek me, and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come,’ so now I tell you.
34 Khat neh khat lung uh thae tila nangmih olpaek a thai la kam paek. Nangmih kan lungnah vanbangla nangmih khaw khat neh khat lung uh thae ham.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
35 Khat neh khat taengah lungnah na khueh uh atah te nen ni kai kah hnukbang la na om uh te boeih a ming uh eh,” a ti nah.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
36 Amah te Simon Peter loh, “Boeipa, melam na caeh eh?” a ti nah. Jesuh loh, “Kai ka caeh nah te tahae ah nam vai uh thai mahpawh tedae hmailong ah nam vai uh bitni,” a ti nah.
Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you can’t follow now, but you will follow afterwards.”
37 Peter loh, “Boeipa, balae tih tahae ah nang kam vai uh thai pawt eh? Nang ham ka hinglu te ka voeih ni,” a ti nah.
Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”
38 Jesuh loh, “Kai ham na hinglu te na voeih mai ni? Nang taengah rhep rhep ka thui, kai voei thum nan hnoel hlan atah ai khong loengloeng mahpawh,” a ti nah.
Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Most certainly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three times.
