< Joba 38 >

1 BOEIPA loh Job te hlipuei khui lamloh a doo tih,
And YHWH answers Job out of the whirlwind and says:
2 Mingnah aka tal olthui neh cilsuep aka hmuep sak te unim?
“Who [is] this—darkening counsel, By words without knowledge?
3 Hlang bangla na pumpu yen lamtah nang kan dawt bangla kai he n'tueng laeh.
Now gird your loins as a man, And I ask you, and you cause Me to know.
4 Diklai ka suen vaengah melam na om? Yakmingnah na ming atah thui lah.
Where were you when I founded the earth? Declare, if you have known understanding.
5 U loh a khodang a khueh khaw na ming van nim? A soah rhilam aka yueng khaw unim?
Who placed its measures—if you know? Or who has stretched out a line on it?
6 A buenhol te me dongah nim a buen tih, a bangkil lung te unim aka thuinuet?
On what have its sockets been sunk? Or who has cast its cornerstone—
7 Mincang aisi rhoek rhenten tamhoe uh tih Pathen ca rhoek boeih yuhui uh.
In the singing together of [the] stars of morning, When all [the] sons of God shout for joy?
8 Tuitunli te a bung lamloh a poh tih a coe vaengah thohkhaih neh a tlaeng.
And He shuts up the sea with doors, In its coming forth, it goes out from the womb.
9 Kai loh cingmai kah a pueinak neh anih kah yinnah hni khaw ka khueh pah.
In My making a cloud its clothing, And thick darkness its swaddling band,
10 Ka oltlueh he anih ham ka tlueh pah tih thohkalh neh thohkhaih khaw ka khueh pah.
And I measure My statute over it, And place bar and doors,
11 He hil ka ti vaengah ha mop lamtah koei boeh. Na hoemdamnah tuiphu te he ah he khueh laeh.
And say, To here you come, and no more, And a command is placed On the pride of your billows.
12 Namah tue vaengah mincang ke na uen a? Khothaih ke na ming tih amah hmuen ah khothaih a om khaw na ming.
Have you commanded morning since your days? Do you cause the dawn to know its place?
13 Te lamkah halang rhoek khoek ham neh diklai hmoi a tuuk sak ham khaw.
To take hold on the skirts of the earth, And the wicked are shaken out of it,
14 Dikpo kutbuen bangla poehlip tih pueinak bangla pai.
It turns itself as clay of a seal And they station themselves as clothed.
15 Halang rhoek te amamih kah vangnah a hloh pah tih ban a thueng khaw a tlawt sak.
And their light is withheld from the wicked, And the arm lifted up is broken.
16 Tuitunli kah tuiput la na pawk tih tuidung kah khenah dongah na pongpa vai a?
Have you come to springs of the sea? And in searching the deep Have you walked up and down?
17 Nang taengah dueknah vongka rhoek ah uh tih dueknah hlipkhup vongka te na hmuh a?
Were the gates of death revealed to you? And do you see the gates of death-shade?
18 Diklai hmuenka duela na yakming nim? A cungkuem la na ming atah thui lah.
You have understanding, Even to the broad places of earth! Declare—if you have known it all.
19 Vangnah aka om longpuei he menim? Hmaisuep kah a hmuen he melae?
Where [is] this—the way light dwells? And darkness, where [is] this—its place?
20 Te te amah khorhi la na thak van tih a im kah a hawn khaw na yakming van nim?
That you take it to its boundary, And that you understand the paths of its house.
21 Nang n'sak tih na khohnin kah a tarhing a puh daengah ni na ming pueng.
You have known—for then you are born, And the number of your days [are] many!
22 Vuelsong thakvoh khuila na kun tih rhaelnu thakvoh na hmuh a?
Have you come to the treasure of snow? Indeed, do you see the treasures of hail,
23 Te te rhal tue vaengkah ham khaw, caemrhal neh caemtloek tue vaengkah ham khaw ka tuem pueng.
That I have kept back for a time of distress, For a day of conflict and battle?
24 Diklai ah kanghawn loh a taekyak tih, vangnah loh a tael longpuei te menim?
Where [is] this, the way light is apportioned? It scatters an east wind over the earth.
25 Tuilong lungpook ham neh rhaek ol ham longpuei aka tael te unim?
Who has divided a conduit for the flood? And a way for the lightning of the voices?
26 A khuiah tongpa aka om pawh khosoek neh hlang aka tal khohmuen ah khaw rhotui aka tlan sak la,
To cause [it] to rain on a land [with] no man, A wilderness [with] no man in it.
27 khohli rhamrhael neh imrhong aka hah sak la, toitlim annoe aka poe sak la om coeng.
To satisfy a desolate and ruined place, And to cause to shoot up The produce of the tender grass?
28 Khotlan te a napa om a? Buemtui tuicip te ulong a sak?
Does the rain have a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew?
29 Rhaelnu he u kah bungko lamkah nim a thoeng tih, vaan vueltling te ulong a sak?
From whose belly came forth the ice? And the hoarfrost of the heavens, Who has begotten it?
30 Tui khaw lungto bangla thuh uh tih tuidung hman ah khal.
Waters are hidden as a stone, And the face of the deep is captured.
31 Airhitbom kah omngaih omloe te na hlaengtang tih buhol phueihrhui khaw na hlawt thai aya?
Do you bind the chains of the Pleiades? Or do you open the cords of Orion?
32 Mazzaroth aisi te amah tue vaengah na thoeng sak tih Ayish aisi te a ca rhoek neh na mawt a?
Do you bring out the twelve signs in [their] season? And do you comfort the Great Bear over her sons?
33 Vaan kah khosing te na ming atah amah kah laithuithainah te diklai ah na khueh a?
Have you known the statutes of the heavens? Or do you appoint Its dominion in the earth?
34 Na ol te khomai dongla na huel thai tih tuili tui te na khuk thai a?
Do you lift up your voice to the cloud, And abundance of water covers you?
35 Rhaek na tueih vaengah cet uh tih nang taengah, “Kaimih la he,” a ti uh a?
Do you send out lightnings, and they go And say to you, Behold us?
36 Kodang khuila cueihnah aka khueh te unim? Kopoek khuiah yakmingnah aka pae te unim?
Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the covered part?
37 Cueihnah neh khomong aka tae te unim? Vaan tuitang aka thael te unim?
Who numbers the clouds by wisdom? And the bottles of the heavens, Who causes to lie down,
38 Me vaengah lae Laipi a hlawn la a hlom tih dikmuh a man sak?
In the hardening of dust into hardness, And clods cleave together?
39 sathuengnu hamla maeh na mae pah tih sathuengca kah hingnah na tom pah a?
Do you hunt prey for a lion? And fulfill the desire of young lions?
40 Me vaengah lae a khuisaek ah a ngam uh tih thingpuep khui ah a kol uh?
When they bow down in dens—Abide in a thicket for a covert?
41 A sakah te vangak ham aka tawn pah te unim? A camoe, a camoe uh vaengah tah Pathen taengah bomnah a bih uh dae caak mueh la kho a hmang uh.
Who prepares for a raven his provision, When his young ones cry to God? They wander without food.”
