< Joba 36 >

1 Elihu loh koep a cong tih,
Elihu also continued, and said,
2 “Kamah taengah bet m'bulbo uh lamtah nangmih te olthui khaw Pathen yueng la koep kan thui eh.
“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
3 Ka poeknah he khohla lamloh kam phueih tih, duengnah he kai aka saii ham ni ka khueh.
I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4 Ka olthui he a honghi pawt dongah nang taengkah lungming khaw a cuemthuek ham tueng pai.
For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
5 Pathen tah khuet tih lungbuei thadueng a khuet te a sit moenih ne.
“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
6 Halang te hlun pawt tih mangdaeng te tiktamnah la a paek.
He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted.
7 A mik te hlangdueng taeng lamloh khap pawt tih manghai rhoek te ngolkhoel dongah a ngol sak. Te phoeiah amih a yoeyah la a thuung tih a sang sak.
He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
8 Tedae hmaipom neh pin uh tih phacip phabaem rhuihet neh a tuuk uh atah,
If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
9 Amih kah bisai neh a boekoeknah dongah a len uh te khaw amih taengah a thui pah.
then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.
10 Thuituennah hamla amih hna te a vueh pah tih, boethae lamloh mael hamla a thui pah.
He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
11 A hnatun uh tih tho a thueng koinih a khohnin then neh thok tih a kum te a naepnoi la boeih.
If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 Tedae a hnatun uh pawt atah pumcumnah neh a paan uh vetih mingnah aka tal bangla pal uh ni.
But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.
13 Lungbuei lailak rhoek loh thintoek a khueh uh tih amih a khih vaengah pataeng bomnah bih pawh.
“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.
14 Amih hinglu te camoe la, a hingnah khaw hlanghalh lakli ah duek.
They die in youth. Their life perishes amongst the unclean.
15 A phacip phabaem vaengah, mangdaeng khaw a pumcum sak tih a hna te nennah neh a toeh.
He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
16 Rhal ka lamloh hmuenka la nang m'poh la m'poh. Te lam te mangdaeng mangtok om pawt tih na caboei dongkah mongnah maehhloi ngang.
Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
17 Halang kah dumlai khaw na cung sak tih, dumlai neh laitloeknah loh m'moep.
“But you are full of the judgement of the wicked. Judgement and justice take hold of you.
18 Kosi loh nang te boeinah neh m'vuet ve ne. Te dongah tlansum cungkuem loh nang m'phaelh boel saeh.
Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
19 Rhal khuiah pawt khaw, na bombihnah neh thadueng, thayung boeih loh m'khoembael aya?
Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
20 A hmuikah pilnam a khum sak ham khoyin khaw hloem aih boeh.
Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
21 Ngaithuen, boethae taengla mael boeh. Te te phacip phabaem lakah te na tuek coeng te.
Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
22 Pathen tah amah thadueng neh thaphoh uh coeng ke. Amah bangla unim aka saya?
Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
23 Anih ham a longpuei te u long nim a tae pah tih, u long nim, ‘Dumlai na saii,’ a ti nah.
Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness’?
24 Amah kah bisai na rhoeng sak ham te poek. Te ni hlang rhoek loh a hlai uh.
“Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung.
25 Hlang boeih loh te te a hmuh uh tih hlanghing loh khohla lamkah a paelki.
All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off.
26 Pathen tah a len dongah a kum tarhing te m'ming uh lek pawt tih, khenah lek pawh.
Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
27 Tui dongkah aangpi a yoek tih khotlan te a tuihu lamloh a ciil.
For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapour,
28 Khomong khaw cip tih hlang soah muep pha.
which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
29 Khomai maiyan neh a dungtlungim kah pang ol a yakming mai ngawn.
Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunderings of his pavilion?
30 A vangnah loh a taengah a kah tih tuitunli yung duela a khuk.
Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
31 Te nen te pilnam taengah lai a tloek tih a yet taengah caak a paek.
For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
32 A kut dongkah vangnah loh a khuk tih phek a cuuk ham khaw te te a uen.
He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
33 A khohum loh amah kawng te a doek tih boiva pataeng thintoek neh cet.
Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also, concerning the storm that comes up.
