Jeremiah 45

1 Judah manghai Josiah capa Jehoiakim kah a kum li dongah tonghma Jeremiah loh Neriah capa Barukh taengah ol a thui pah tih Jeremiah ka dongkah ol te cabu dongah tloep a daek.

The word which Jeremiah the prophet spake, unto Baruch son of Neriah, —when he had written these words upon a book, from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah saying—

2 “Barukh nang taengah Israel Pathen BOEIPA loh he ni a. thui.

Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, Unto thee, O Baruch, —

3 Anunae kai aih he, ka nganboh te BOEIPA loh kothae neh a koei coeng. Ka hueinah nen khaw ka kohnue tih duemnah ka hmuh pawh,” na ti mai.

Thou didst say, Surely woe to me! For Yahweh hath added sorrow unto my pain, —I am weary with my moaning, And rest, have I not found!

4 Amah taengah na thui bangla, BOEIPA loh he ni a. thui. Ka thoh tangtae te ka koengloeng tih ka phung tangtae he diklai tom he ka phuk coeng ne.

Thus, shalt thou say unto him Thus, saith Yahweh, —Lo! what I had built, I am pulling down, And what I had planted, I am rooting up, —And that is, all the land:

5 Nang loh namah ham a tanglue na tlap te tlap voel boeh. Pumsa boeih soah yoethae ka thoeng sak coeng. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni. Tedae na caeh nah hmuen takuem ah kutbuem la na hinglu te namah taengah kam paek,” a ti.

Wouldst, thou, then seek to secure for thyself great things? Do not seek! For behold me! bringing in calamity upon all flesh, Declareth Yahweh, Nevertheless I will give thee thine own life as a spoil, in all places whithersoever thou goest.
